we had a great time in Rome, the room was great for our needs.

People were great; restaurant on roof was overly pretentious without merit. Tried to push expensive items (wine) rather than listen to clients. Less pomp and following elaborate rituals and more focus on clients. Took forever to get wine opened and poured for example.

Great stay and place

My wife and I stayed for three nights and found the hotel amazing. The staff were all wonderful, helpfull, and friendly. The room facing the colossium had the most spectacular view which gets even better when you go up to the restaurant. This dining experience was beyond belief. The food was out of this world. Tip: Book the restaurant by email well in advance. You can look up the menu on the hotel website. Our trip to Rome was made that much more special by the Palazzo Manfredi and it's staff. Thank you.

Greatest hotel of our Germany/Italy trip. Was fearful of Rome's reputation but the service was as I would expect for a 5 Star hotel. Definitely made our stay in Rome. Every touch point by staff was top shelf and sincere. It was so refreshing. Couldn't be better located for experiencing all Rome had to offer. We walked everywhere. Down to earth staff who enjoyed the job they did and meeting the people they encountered.

Cute little boutique hotel. Most of the nearby cafes/restaurant were too touristy for my tastes (although should've expected that, being so extremely close to the Colosseum). Interior of the room was really Italian, unique, and well-decorated. The front desk/concierge was either slow with responding to our requests, or extremely misinformed or with little knowledge regarding our questions about shopping/eating out in town. They tried to guide us but ended up giving us wrong information every single time.

My husband and I spent one night in Rome after a Mediterranean cruise and chose Palazzo Manfredi due to the location. The hotel was quaint and elegant. The staff bent over backwards to make the stay exceptional. The hotel is located literally across the street from the Colosseum. We chose a slightly more expensive room to have a view of the Colosseum from our room. It was magnificent. The hotel is a bit pricey but worth it for the short stay. There is a lovely restaurant on the roof with spectacular views and a lovely menu but again, expensive. We chose instead to take a cab to the shopping district, where we walked to view sites and chose an outdoor cafe/restaurant near the Trevi fountain for dinner. I would definitely recommend this hotel if one is looking for a lovely experience.

I wish I had time to go into great detail but this hotel is far from a 5 star and I can't give it 4 either. Long story short, they tried to pull a few tricks over us by placing us in rooms that were very suspect including offering us an off-site "apartment" which was large but had multiple issues. Their breakfast is the best I've had in years; maybe ever. However, that's a bout it. Do not go for the "okie-doke". This place is shady!!!!!!

What an exceptional location for my stay in Roma. The day and evening view of the coliseum was spectacular! The staff was very friendly. I found the close proximity to the Metro to be convent to getting to the rest of Rome. My room was on the street side and I found it to be quite. I felt very safe in my surroundings. My only problem was that I had trouble with my toilet but it was immediately attended to.

Palazzo Manfredi - the main building is everything you expect from a 5 star hotel. Great location, small, causy, elegant, clean, very helpful staff, stunning view to the Colosseum. The rooms are beautiful (not too big) and luxurious. The apartment option for families on the other hand is a huge disappointment, would never book that again. For this price it is ridiculous.

I have to say that it is a great hotel and if I will be in Rome again I would stay there again without looking at any other hotel. you could not get better than that, the staff, the room, the breakfast....everything was more than expected.

The first night they were overbooked so we got a smaller smoking room although I had requested non-smoking. In exhange we were upgraded to a remarkable room facing the Colesseum the next nights. A great exchange and one of the most memorable views out of a hotel window anywhere.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for that something special in Rome....our experience was first class from the moment we arrived. The location is wonderful and the view from roof top is spectacular. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much. The food was especially good, if you can, I would recommend having dinner in the hotel too. Some of the finest cuisine we had in Italy. Will be back!!

We have visited Rome several times and our stay at the Gladiatori is the finest hotel experience we have had yet in this wonderful city. If one of their 16 rooms is available for our next trip to Rome, we will surely stay at the Gladiatori. One last tip; if this your first trip to Rome and you are concerned about staying near all the attractions, let me put your mind at ease. The city center, some people refer to as Ancient Rome, does not cover a large area. We have walked from one end to the other more than once. Grab a hotel business card to show to any taxi driver and put your feet to the street to explore this wonderful place. Even if you walk from the east side of the city center (where the coloseo and Gladiatori are located) to the west side (where you will find Vatican City), you will not be more than 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel.

Saved up and splurged on our last night to celebrate our anniversary. It was worth every penny. The bed was amazing. Free internet and use of an ipad if you don't have a computer. However, if you can only afford one luxury, go to the hotel's restaurant (Aroma) as opposed to spending the night. The greatest dinning experience we have ever had (and we've had a few good ones). Avoid all restaurants near the hotel.

Vi bodde i en leilighet ca 1 km fra hotellet. Leiligheten var ren og innbydende. Når vi henvendte oss til hotellet pga små utfordringer, stilte de i leiligheten med en gang.

Sovesofaen skal være I bedre kvalitet

Vi boede i en lejlighed ejet af hotellet ca. 5 min fra selve hotellet, men hotellet behandlede os på samme måde, som hvis vi havde boet på hotellet. Serviceniveauet fra hotellets personale var meget højt, og alle opgaver blev ordnet på en meget imødekommende måde. Vi kommer gerne tilbage !

3 generasjoner - 18 til 74 år var spente på hvordan leiligheten var. Vi ringte dagen før vi kom grunnet sen ankomst, og fikk veldig god respons. Full informasjon om hvordan vi kom fra flyplass til hotellet informasjon vedrørende prisene vi kunne forvente (drosje). Ved ankomst ble vi hjulpet med bagasjen de 4 kvartalene til leiligheten og vist fasilitetene der. Delig dusj!! Leiligheten lå like over en bar, men det merket vi kun i helgen. Vis a vis lå en politistasjon som lå litt tilbaketrukket, så det var ingen gjenboere. Når vi trengte internett fikk vi låne med oss en IPAD og lader fra hotellet, slik at vi kom på nett. Det var ingen problem de ikke løste:). I området ligger det mange restauranter, men man føler ikke at det er er turistifisert område. Et vakkert kloster i nærheten er verdt et besøk. Nydelig stemning. Ved å gi beskjed i resepsjonen dagen før - sto de sto i kø om morgenen på Colosseum, og billettene kunne hentes på hotellet etter kl 10. Da gikk vi forbi hele køen. Billettene ble betalt kontakt i resepsjonen ved utsjekking. Denne gangen var 5 stjernes hotell en del av opplevelsen, så prisen var ikke viktig. Restauranten i øverste etasje var en spesiell opplevelse den også. Alle som jobbet der viste 100% service samt varme/professionalitet. Direkte utsikt til Colosseum var et vakkert syn. En eksklusiv restaurant, som gav oss en opplevelse vi er glade vi fikk med oss. Totalt et fint sted å være.

Die Lage des Appartments in der Via Serpenti ist bestechend. Mitten drin sozusagen. Für 3 Personen super. Ein Doppelbettzimmer mit Bad (Achtung nur für sehr schlanke Leute geeignet) und ein Einzelzimmer mit zweitem Bad. Es gibt auch noch ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer, dass man ausklappen kann. Für kleine Kinder prima - ansonsten vielleicht etwas knatschig. Das Hotel liegt ca. 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Das ist aber egal, weil man es ja sowieso nicht nutzt. Wir haben morgens auf der Straße in den kleinen Cafés gefrühstückt und das ging ganz prima.

Excelente hotel, charmoso, confortável e com equipe muito bem qualificada. Nos sentimos realmente esperados e paparicados durante toda a estadia. Vista deslumbrante do Coliseu da janela do quarto e do restaurante do hotel. Próximo a restaurantes agradáveis e transporte público - metrô, ônibus e táxi estão a um raio de 100 metros do hotel. Achamos também um Supermercado Carrefour em uma rua paralela ao hotel, que nos ajudou a reduzir a conta do frigobar...

Wir haben das Loft in der Via dei Serpenti gebucht, dann bei der Ankunft aber ein grösseres und näher gelegenes erhalten. Das Personal war ausgesprochen hilfsbereit und freundlich, der Aufenthalt wirklich sehr angenehm.

Do hotel eu nao sei porque voces me colocaram num apartamento que nao tinha nada a ver com o hotel. Ate o cafe da manha era complicado porque tinhamos que andar com duas criaças por quase dez minutos. Um verdadeiro absurdo e uma enganaçao.

Das Personal ist extrem hilfbereit, höflich und sehr kompetent. Sie organisieren Tickets, empfehlen "Insider-Restaurants", reservieren Tische etc etc. Absolut perfekt! Unser Zimmer mit Blick auf das Kolosseum war etwas klein und beim Ankommen nicht perfekt sauber, die Reinigungen später waren jedoch einwandfrei. Die Lage des Hotels ist für Städtebummler perfekt. Zentral und öV in der Nähe. Wir können dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen.

Pourquoi nous n'avons pas aimé - le petit déjeuner horrible, le service TRES lent - 4 personnes dans la salle et un jus d'orange 25 minutes!!! rien à manger, sauf 1 croissant, confiture et café/thé, pas de yaourt pourtant mentionné dans le menu! j'ai été obligé d'acheter un peu de jambon et du fromage, c'est long, tout est long et le personnel n'est pas au service, vraiment pas du tout!!! le réveil demandé - rien, taxi pour l'aéroport - non, ils l'ont appelé quand nous étions déjà dehors - coup de chance que nous étions à l'heure

Hotel Gladiatori Palazzo Manfredi ligger i hjerte av Roma, med umiddelbar nærhet til Coloseum. Fra takterrassen, blant annet, har man utsikt over dette mesterverket. Betjeningen er veldig hyggelig, og får deg til å føle deg som en av verdens mest viktige personer. I leiligheten som tilhørte hotellet var det litt smårusk som ikke hører hjemme på et 5-stjerners hotell, blant annet en lekk dusj, aircondition som ikke er ved sine fulle fem og en svai sovesofa. Ellers var leiligheten stor og fin, med perfekt beliggenhet til de aller fleste severdighetene i Roma. Alt i alt var oppholdet på Hotel Gladiatori Palazzo Manfredi en fin opplevelse, både når det kom til standard og service.
