The hotel has a musty smell, breakfast was awful and locals told me that old saybrook has only had two murders in a long time and they were both at that hotel!

we had a very nice stay. comfortable bed. Nice mexican restauraunt nearby. we were satisfied.

hotel was under renovations meaning hammering and sawing all day into the night. Air conditioner in room was stuck on 64 and had no button to turn thermostat up...it was broken. I was forced to use a remote control that had dead batteries. some sort of dried sticky substance on armrest of chair and floor, looked like something left over from the remodel. Avoid

beds were not very comfortable, but the location off the highway and the price was right

The room was mostly clean, there did appear to be a small stain in the carpet possibly from a pet, faint odor .. Overall we were satisified.

Very friendly staff (Mary and Bobby) and great hotel for the price.

We needed a bed for the night, and this was fine. The staff was very friendly, but the bldg was very tired (obviously no one was attending to the maintanence) But let's be fair they aren't charging a lot and you get what you pay for

At check-in receptionist seemed to have no idea how to process a hotel.com reservation. She asked me to pay again because "although you've paid hotels.com, we haven't been paid"!!!! I did not, since I had my printed reciept from hotels.com which says amount paid in full. Took 10 minutes of back and forth before we could attain rooom key. Hotel was just ok, on all counts. Room was on the ground floor overlooking front entrance. Couldn't open curtain for daylight since all other guests would have looked into our room. It was one night on a last minute weekend away. Wouldn't stay there again.

This property was lovely and in such a serene setting. After a long day of driving through terrible traffic it was perfect and in walking distance to a couple of nice restaurants so we didn't have to get into the car again. I'd definitely stay there again.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and were greeted by name from very friendly staff. We were surprised and delighted to find our room was upgraded for free from a regular room to a king suite. The hotel was very clean and our room was spotless and quite comfortable. Pool was great. Place is quiet. Good restaurants within walking distance. We like the fact the hotel while locate on main route was set back from the road so traffic noise was not heard! Will definitely come back again.

Front Desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The room had 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa couch. Very clean and big room. Had a mini-fridge and sink with counter space outside of the bathroom. This hotel was solid and well worth the money.

We were looking for a clean place to stay for one night. This place was great, while it was obvious that it was an older hotel that had been renovated, clean was what we were looking for. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. They gave us suggestions for breakfast the next morning. The review that describe the linens as outdated is correct...but they were clean which is what mattered to us. In a good neighborhood also. We would stay here again.

Friendly service. Neat and clean room. Free upgrade to the room.

The hotel room was small, but clean and all appliances functioned properly. Room contained mini fridge, microwave, and large flat screen tv. Bed was very comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly. There's also a nice mexican restaurant next door, which is very convenient. The continental breakfast consisted of a batter dispenser and waffle maker, oatmeal packets, plain bagles or blueberry muffins. Overall, room was good for the price in that area. As long as a place is clean and comfortable, I'm fine. But if you're concerned about the furniture and linens, well they were very cheap, and walls were also pretty thin.

This hotel is in a nice location with many amenities in close proximity. The hotel staff are friendly however not totally effiecient. My wife had left me a message to call her at a specific number and I was only given a message of call your wife. This property is long overdo for some capital improvements. It needs a deep refresh to say the least. I would not recomend it to anyone especially at the rate I was charged.
