Wonderful place. Our room was on second floor so be prepared to climb 31 stairs. If your room is on third floor count on more. Comfortable bed. Nice decor. Great shower (5 heads). Right in the middle of Historic Port Townsend. Friendly staff.

Love the hotel, with all of it's historic detail. Room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. A little noisy - you can hear other people in the hotel, but oozes charm. Great location, right in the heart of downtown.

This is a really beautifull Victorian Hotel right in the center of Port Townsend. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Port Townsend. One really nice thing is that they keep the doors to non-booked rooms open, so you can peak in and see all the different styles. All of the rooms are a little different from each other, but all very pretty Victorian style.

Very fine, with the ambience of a bed and breakfast. There are stained-glass skylights in at least some of the rooms, however, which admit rather a lot of light, so that sleeping well can be a challenge for those accustomed to darkness.

Nice old Hotel with cute rooms, friendly staff and very convenient to all of the sights in PT. We would stay again

A classic old hotel, massive ceilings and lobbies on each floor. Great history, great front end staff, great location. We stayed for a night in the Miss Kittie room and loved it. The location is great to walk around town and check out the shops. We ate at the fountain cafe (great) and then walked around the corner and went to a movie. The theatre was also a great old building from the past.

We had guests from Australia staying with us at the hotel. They were thrilled with the comfort and the decor of the hotel as were we.

The Palace Hotel was charming and quaint. The decor reflected everything you would expect from a 1880's vintage hotel. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pretty pillows. The bathroom was an add on and ultra modern with several shower heads that sprayed from the side walls as well as from above. There was a fan in the room, which was appreciated as it was quite warm during the night (no A/C of course). There was parking in the back of the hotel. The staff were welcoming, caring, courteous and helpful with suggestions for places to eat and see. On the down side: being an old building there were no extra electrical outlets for all our modern equipment, the hotel's wireless did not reach to our room so we had to go into the hallway to access our internet. Be prepared for lots of stair climbing - the rooms have 15' ceilings and we were on the third floor, no elevators here! We ate dinner at the Belmont and had a wonderful water view table and the food was excellent. We also saw a movie at the Rose Theater which was nicely decorated and very clean. All in all, yes I would recommend The Palace Hotel, just be prepared for the "vintage" part of it. Port Townsend should be on your "must visit" list. There is lots of history here.

This historic hotel is fun to puruse. It's downtown location is also fun. However, it had limited creature comforts. The bedding needed to be upgraded.

this was the coolest hotel!! It was just as you would imagine back in the day... I took a ton of pics, would definitely recommend.
