I only wish there were more options for breakfast with more hot foods, i.e. waffles....

The hotel was clean and comfortable, we definitely got more than what we paid for.

Room was clean, property was well kept. Personnel were excellent

My partner and I stayed at Shilo Inn for a quick 2 night getaway and it was great. The hotel staff was super friendly and welcoming, the room was large (although the bathroom was barely big enough for one of us), the location was perfect-we walked everywhere, the neighborhood was quiet and safe. We had a great stay at the Shilo Inn and would definitely stay again.

Shilo Inn is a great bargain, with clean rooms, good bed, good overall stay. No restaurant, and the continental breakfast is a little paltry, but an excellent restaurant one across the street and other places closeby for breakfast. Best -- it is QUIET ! and no road noise that comes with staying at the Marriott or Quality Inn, which are two blocks closer to MaxLine and convention center. But I'll take the quiet street and good night sleep anytime!

The room was very nice, but did have a slight odor that was a bit unpleasant. After running the A/C for a while, it seemed to subside. Aside from that, the room was very nice, though the bathroom was a little small. My biggest complaint is that check-in time was at 4:00pm. We arrived at 5:00pm and they stated they did not have a room available for us and we had to wait for 1 to be cleaned. We ended up having to wait until 5:30 to get our room which was pretty annoying.

Served our needs fine for a quick stay--room was clean, appreciated free parking and continental breakfast, friendly service from check-in staff. Easy to get to things we were going to.

First impression was not good. As per a earlier review. There was a moldy smell in the air. I opened the hallway window and smell in hall way went away. It's a two story hotel and does not have an elevator. Room was not very big but noticed another room that was being cleaned, and was much larger then mine. Asked if I could move to a larger room and they were more than willing to accommodate. Ice machine on first floor and continental breakfast stops at 9am. They do have a laundry room and a sauna that came in handy. Neighborhood was ok, probably don't want to take a walk at night. Probably would not stay there again, even if I had to pay a little mire.

stay was great. we didnt spend much time in the hotel but the bed was good and we were very close to everywhere we wanted to go. the picture showed there was a couch in our room and there wasnt but thats not a big deal to me

The room and location are great, however, the continental breakfast is the worst I have every seen. Cereal, orange juice, and generic bagels were your three options. Overall, not bad, just plan on getting breakfast somewhere else.

I could hear the bed banging in the suite next door but it didn't last too long. The room is as nice as the much more expensive properties I've stayed at in the area. Excellent value.

We made our reservation on the road. It took an hour for them to receive our reservation through the internet. Room needed a few repairs. Breakfast was acceptable. Crown Plaza across the street allowed Shilo Inn guests to use their pool and hot tub. That was the best part of the stay. Overall though we got the sleep we needed.

Great Location, good service but the hotel was dated and kind of dirty. The whole hotel had a musty smell to it. I do think its funny that they have a sign that's been up for several years stating "newly remodeled." That's obviously not the case. It was a cheap hotel within walking distance to the convention center. If I had to stay here again, I would but I'd definitely look elsewhere first.

The check-in was not smooth at all. They were not connected well with Hotels.com and it took multiple phone calls to get the reservations and prepayment straightened out.

xThe clerk at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The room was large and well equipped, but not being able to take a shower made the stay unpleasant. The clerk indicated that the hot water had not been working the day before and he thought it had been fixed along withthe broken ice machine. The management needs to do a better job of maintenance.

We weren't impressed at all. We had trouble getting the outlets to work, and had to push "reset" over and over. We never were able to get the hair dryer to work at all. The refrigerator froze everything solid. The breakfast is small and mainly bread, but there is only one toaster that everyone stands in a long line to use. When we told the clerk about the outlet issues, and that the blow dryer didn't work, we were very shocked by the response of the clerk. He sort of laughed and said that it "does work". He said that you have to hit "clear" and "reset" etc... and HE could get it to work. I told him that I tried that, and he still insisted we didn't do it right. He also implied that it was probably unplugged and we weren't smart enough to think of that. The truth of the matter is that they obviously have an electrical problem, because you shouldn't have to hit "reset" numerous times to get an outlet or dryer to work. It also sounds like it's a regular problem in all rooms, and that they have no intention of fixing it. Lots of other hotels in the area are nicer, and would treat you with a lot more respect!

Old tv. No DVD Dirty carpets. Dirty windows and curtains Just not as well done as your other hotels. Our money was not well spent. Our grand daughter looked at us and said "are u sure we are in the right place". That says alot!!!

Friendly staff-quiet surroundings. Clean.

First night was GREAT, room, front desk fine. Put "do not disturb" sign on door until 10am. Flipped over to "Maid Service" at 10am, maid never cleaned room. Called front office at 2pm about no maid, said they would get it done. At 4pm went to front office because still no maid service. Maids had now finished for the day. Changed my room, but second room not clean, cigarette hole in curtains, DIRTY old FOOD on ice togs (have photo), carpet worn, not the same as first room. Suggest inspecting room and don't use door signs!

I was only here one night and everything was in perfect order. Staff/check in smooth, room clean and neat. Very Satisfied!

Great location for concert goers or those going to other Rose Garden events. Loved checking into hotel and not having to pay event parking.

The reason we picked this hotel was because of how close it was to the Rose Quarter. We went to a concert and didn't want to have to worry about parking and all that mess. It's only about a five minute walk to the Rose Quarter. Across the street is the Crown Plaza where we went for pre-show drinks (and dinner after the show). Now for the not so good part.. As soon as we got up to our room we were hit by a stench of stale cigarettes. Not happy. Soon after I discovered cigarette burns on the curtain AND the comforter. Gross. No pressure in the shower head (which if you have thick hair like I do, it sucks!). Overall the hotel didn't feel clean, and if we ever go up there again for a show we probably would just stay at the Crown Plaza!!

Burns in bedding and furniture. Not clean. Never would go back.

A little disappointed , room smelled sorta musty and was very small. Service was good , but break fast nothing much to speak of. Location ok , if your going shopping at LLoyd Center or convention center, but if you are wanting to go downtown, plan on a taxi ride.. I dont know, I wouldnt recommend this hotel for the overall price. ....Nothing was horrible but nothing was great!!

It was good except for the breakfast, No Juice, or Hot Cocco, only cold items for breakfast. Not the best Shilo that I have stayed in.

Good location --within 4 blocks of Max station. Room was clean; bed very comfy; staff pleasant and helpful. The only downside really was that the room was very small--no chairs other than a desk chair and the bathroom was so small it was difficult to close the door without standing on the toilet. This was supposed to be a "suite" so I'd hate to see how small the standard rooms are!

Our stay at the Shilo was very comfortable and clean. We have stayed at this hotel the passed 3 years.

I had reserved a room with king size bed and they gave me a room with a queen. Other than that it was fine, no issues.

Our room was damp. The towels were damp, the rug was damp, it was a very damp experience. As a result the room had a funny smell. There were lots of carpet stains and the furniture was ripped. The continental breakfast was pretty lame too.

The rooms were adequate for the purpose. The continental breakfast is limited to cereal, bagels and muffins, with yogurt and fruit. The front desk employees were very helpful when I had a request.The downside: very thin walls and noisy mattress springs. ne night I had some very althletic upstairs neighbors!

Clean,& affordable . Great location. Located 4 blocks from the convention center Max line, meant a short trip downtown (and access to 3 max lines), and an equally short trip back to the airport when my weekend was over. There is a 7-11 around the corner, and a walgreens, so iIcoud pick up some forgotten toiletries. I would stay here again.
