Crowne Plaza Orlando - Downtown - אורלנדו

The one downside of the place is the traffic is really loud when you try to sleep at night. If you leave the air conditioner fan running, it drowns out the noise. Other than that, it was really nice and everyone was really friendly. We even got a late check out with no problem.

My husband and I went to the Crown Plaza for a date night so we could go out downtown together. We had a blast! The hotel was fabulous! The pool was loved and heated and the Jacuzzi was perfect. Our room was perfect and the hotel staff was incredible! We will definitely return!

During check-in the hotel rep seemed to want to make conversation. In so doing she asked for Driver's License in addition to the credit card that had prepaid for the reservation. From that license she stated aloud our entire home address. There were other guests checking in at the small desk and others in the lobby nearby. We were most upset that she had given out our home address (a local address). The next morning we went to the buffet which was included in our room rate. The waitress brought us a bill. When we said it was included she asked for the voucher we had gotten at check-in. The agent who gave out our address did not give us a voucher. The restaurant staff voided the ticket after they went to get us a voucher. This was a bit unsettleing on our visit.

The pictures on the website is very deceiving. the lobby was unattractive,the carpeting in my room was dirty, the sheets were stained , very noisy, too close to the interstate and there were ants all over the bathroom. Needdless to say I checked out two nights early. Never stay there again!

Always loved this hotel.

The hotel staff were absolutely phenomenal. I had my wedding there and they were all very friendly and helpful. One of our guests had a personal crisis during the wedding and the desk clerk (I believe her name was Valarie) handled it personally, calling the woman every 10 minutes to make sure she was all right and providing her assistance so the bride didn't have to worry about it. The staff take on issues personally and are very professional. I am very impressed with this hotel.

Out of the 3 hotels we stayed in through out our vacation, the Crowne was our favorite. The beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Loved them so much I took a picture of the label and called the hotel to find out what mattresses they have in the rooms so I can buy one of my own. The rooms are very modern and big. I stayed in a King room. I would stay in this hotel again. The only thing I didnt like is that a few blocks away from the hotel the nieghborhood wasn't that great. Other than that very nice.

you like to hear trains blowing their horns through the night and all the traffic from the highway outside your window. also, I had a hard time with maintaining the temperature in the room. when it shut off in the middle of the night b/c it reached it's target temp, the room would get so hot to the point I woke up sweating. The combination of this and the outside noises, did not equate to a good restful night sleep. There is also mold in the shower which isn't acceptable in any hotel in my opinion. . . maybe a motel. I do not plan on staying here again.

There is a 15 a day self parking fee which is a lot since other hotels have free parking for guest

Beautiful on the inside, but a little hard to get to due to the one way highway exit ramp.

Checked in late on a Friday. Parking has a fee and we chose to self-park as there were plenty of spots available in the lot. The valet staff and the girl at the front desk were all extremely nice. Got to our room and it was very nice. Comfortable bed. In the standard room there is a microwave and wetbar/sink but no mini-fridge which we didn't realize. The only other thing was there was a wash cloth left in the shower. Not sure if it was clean or used but either way that was the only complaint.

The room was clean and the service was nice. I was in town for a B-Ball game so the location was very nice. The staff was friendly and all for a reasonable price.I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for a concert at the Amway Center. The hotel was extremely convinent for the concert and the valet service was excellent - setting us up with a black car. However, upon arrival there was no Shampoo available in our room. I called the front desk and they said that they would send some up. Thirty minutes later - I went downstairs to get my own. I never recieved my shampoo. Poor service. When we woke up the next morning we were greeted by a live cock roach in the bathroom. yuck! So for the full price of an overnight stay of $170 plus $18 for parking - I just don't see the price as worth it.

We stayed in a king deluxe, the room was nice & big. The hotel is close to the Amway Center & they offer a shuttle service which was great as we were there for a concert. The biggest complaint I had was the noise being so close to the highway. I hardly slept at all. Probably wouldn't stay there again because of it.

The hotel is on a faraway area. The restaurant closes at 11:00PM, and there is no bar or other room service after this time. They charge you USD 15,00 per day for your car. Ridiculus...

This hotel is consistently good and very convenient to events at the Amway Arena. They provide a shuttle service which is a necessity, considering the neighborhood. We've never been able to hook up with it after an event, but luckily there are pedi-cabs. The bistro/bar offers good food and drinks before a concert and is open when you return. It's my first choice when we travel to Orlando for a concert or other event.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed in my stay at the Crown Plaza Orlando. The check in was slow. The quality of amenities was poor. The surrounding outside noise was terrible... if only I had known that there was going to be a 4:30am morning train that would not stop blowing its whistle I would have been prepared with ear plugs!!!! Needless to stay I will not be staying at this hotel again :(

We were woken up by the housekeeping at 8am just barging into our room. She didn't even knock. Just walked right in and then had the nerve to let the door slam on her way out after seeing that we were sleeping. Then she had the nerve to do it again at 9am!!!! I felt like she was rushing us to get up and leave, hours before checkout.

Horrible location. Scary dirty neighborhood. Would have never stayed here if I would have known more of the location. Staff was extremely short & rude. Had to pay $15 a night to park and was not told of this until during checkout! Prices for everything were outrages! For the price I paid to stay here I was expecting a nice place with no hassle. Got the opposite. Don't waste your money on this place!!!

Very nice hotel. I wasn't happy with the $15 charge for parking. Hotel staff indicated the website included the info. But I really didn't see it. The neighborhood is not good. But it is very convenient to downtown Orlando. The room was excellent and very clean. The bed was very comfortable.

2nd time staying at this hotel, excellent customer service, great rooms - clean & comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

The first room we were issued had the following problems: The room had two seperate doors leading to a balcony that had to remain locked; those doors did not close well and with the hotel being by the highway it was very noisey; a cabinet in the kitchen was hanging on by one hinge, nearly falling off; the closet light was flickering, not maintaining its light; the furniture was stained beyond belief; one of the televisions was crooked on the wall; the hallway was filthy. The second room, as I requested to be changed to another room, was better but still had supremely stained furniture and a shower door which was on its last leg. being that the tile that the door was secured to was cracked down the wall. For the price, and "Suite" title, it was not so. With that said, had the rate been cheaper - no complaints because my expectations would have been lowered. Also, a friend from that area said that neighborhood is really bad. Frankly, it was just dirty and did not meet expectations. You also have to pay to park your car?

Great hotel. The staff are amazing but the location and neighborhood are to be desired. Tvs and coffee machines could use some updating and I would order in instead of get room service. But as I said before the staff are amazing and very accommodating.

Really glad we stayed here. I wanted to stay near downtown and somewhere nice. Definitely met my requirements. There was a free shuttle that would take you downtown every thirty minutes which was great for us as parking can be very problematic downtown. They also do pickups around downtown as long as it's not too far away. Ours were always 1.5 to 2 miles away from the hotel and there was never a problem. Good little bar/restaurant downstairs also.

We ended up leaving at 3:00a.m. - couldn't stand the traffic on I4 since the hotel is right on top of it. Also, we went to an event and were told that we would be picked back up with a phone call...called 5 times, never got picked up. Very unsatisfied and will never stay again.

The vending machine didn't work. You have to pay for breakfast. The breakfast sucked. Eggs were under cooked, 3$ for a tiny carton of milk. Just could of been better. Balcony doors don't open. So to smoke a cigarette you have to go down stairs.

Great downtown experience! I will definitely stay at the Plaza again when in the downtown area.

I booked this hotel because I was going to a concert at amway center. Good price, had a shuttle to center. I would recommended reserving the shuttle in advance, when I got there I was told it was full, but got lucky because someone else didnt get on. Also wasnt able to find the pick up location on way back to hotel, so took a cab, just make sure you find that out before you go. Hotel was very nice, clean, and staff was great.

Great location if you enjoy traffic (Interstate 4) and the ghetto. The Crowne may be 3 blocks from the Bob Carr PAC but it's also only one block from the hood. The room was without a mini fridge and it was a king with a pull out sofa. Our room was on the second floor so we had zero view but that turned out to be a blessing because the elevators were slow, slow and creaky. Two small check in desks, one a actually being used at peak check in time. $15 a night to park extra charge.

This was an alternate selection to the conference hotel which was much higher priced BUT in downtown & next to Lake Eola. The location is right next to the highway AND an exit AND the side roads leading to downtown. There WILL be road noise & in the first room we had more than the second one which wasn't as close to I-4. We had to change rooms because the door to our first room would NOT LOCK. We tried several times & finally they moved us to another room. Not sure the new room was ready since I saw a clearly used washcloth on the shower curtain rod. There were long hairs on the floor that were not mine. The air conditioner in the new room didn't seem to work as well - we were warm all night. However on the second night it seemed to work better. The area is on the outskirts of downtown & not really walking friendly. You are close to Amway but not sure I would walk around that area. Self parking is gated & small but you pay $15 per day for it which is comparable to other hotels in the area as well as parking garages nearby. Room had a microwave & sink but NO fridge. Vending is on the 2nd floor - not much there either. I needed a toothbrush, not a one in the machines. Overall for the price I should have paid the extra to go to the conference hotel, which lowered the price just before the event. Just depends on your needs - this room had 2 queen beds which I prefer to 2 full beds which are too small for our family.

Ill be short and to the point. There were no towels in my room and it took housekeeping about an hour to bring me some. The a/c didn't work very well and no fan in the bathroom. When dining for breakfast I sat for 30 minutes while the waitress passed me 4 times not saying a single word or offering to get me anything or take my order. The manager was rude when I spoke with him claiming the waitress was busy. If that was the case then get another waitress to help me. Terrible service.

Upon arriving in room, detected an odor of "meat." Checked out microwave and found it had not been cleaned. Someone had microwaved something like beef stew and a film was still on oven interior. I wiped it out. It was a cold night in Orlando, and the heat did not work. The window was not double-paned, so we listened to expressway noise entire time. At 4:00 a.m. awoke to very loud laughing and talking from room next door coming under the door that connects adjoining rooms. In morning, we had a voucher for free breakfasts in hotel cafe. Took an hour for us to receive our order of eggs and bacon. Would definitely never book this hotel again.

The room was amazing! Great service!

I surprised my wife with a night away from home and she loved it! The staff allowed me to check in early to "set up" the room and they even refrigerated my chocolate covered strawberries until we arrived later that night!

Great.

The hotel was great, bed was very comfortable, my only complaint was I set up a wake up call and did not get the wake up the next morning.

The location was very convenient to the cancer center which was a priority.

Overall good value for the money. Quite cheap rates relative to other hotels. Half the priced of other hotels I stayed in Orlando. Comfort, and the hotel basics are all well taken care of. Very clean rooms, Very good staff attention to any problem I had. The only small criticism is the food is I thought over priced. But you will still save heaps as this is not the main cost. I stayed there a total of 5 nights. Happy to stay there again. Robert.A.

We only stayed one night for a local concert so we didn't have time to change our room but the one we were given didn't have a functioning a/c unit. Made it quite uncomfortable. Overall a clean and nice hotel though.

No towel bars in bathroom, No exhaust fan in bathroom, No ceiling fan/s, Carpet dirty, No refrigerator, poor lighting, no complimentary breakfast, no complimentary coffee in lobby...All in All, I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.
