The Mimosa Hotel - מיאמי ביץ'

The Mimosa Hotel was a nice location. We were a little surprised when we saw the outside of the building, but relieved when we got inside and saw the modern and updated decor.The rooms were a nice size and had good amenitites, although it would have been nicer to have carpeted floors instead of tile (maybe its a beach thing). Anyway, they have a nice little bar with drinks, sandwhiches, etc. in the lobby. There is a nice pool in the back of the hotel and immediate beach access which was fantastic. There are no views from the rooms, except of the side of a building that's under construction. There was alot of noise due to the construction, although it might not be a factor if you are gone most of the day. If we were the type of couple to return to the same hotel (city) on vacations, we'd probably consider staying at this one again. It's not walking distance from South Beach, Lincoln Avenue, or Ocean Drive so be prepared to take cabs or rent transporation. We had a rental car and there was secure parking (cheap) supplied by the hotel with ample in/out priviledges!

the location was good .Private beach and nice pool.but the bed and pillow was terrible .after a full activity day you could not sleep well.

Convenient parking right across street (reasonable up-charge to park overnite) wireless Internet was included...staff was very friendly, accomodating & worked hard to make sure our stay went well. I whole-heartedly can recommend The Mimosa! You will not be disappointed. BTW, pool and patio are the best I've seen outside of Hong Kong.

Daytime noise from the construction next-door was expected, but work even continued on Saturday. Middle of the night noise from rooftop AC unit was unbearable - had to change rooms after first night to avoid this on the second (stay away from rooms 303 and 305!!!). Room was not very clean; a lot of hair in the tub/shower. Location was nice; lovely pool area and beach.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel for a getaway weekend- we left after one night. There is a high rise building immediately next door to the north being constructed. Work starts at 7am. So much for sleeping in! Room was small and there were no lights. I felt like I could never see. Clean enough, but a bit dated. It was also way too far from where we like to spend our time, but that was our fault for not realizing it. When we asked to cancel, the staff person was incredibly understanding and helpful.

This hotel should in my sense not be available for customers until the construction next to is completed. It is extremely noisy. Building construction until 7 pm and even on Saturday. Breakfast is is consisting on toast and jam. Really rudimentary. Some of the hotel are very nice and helpful (as possible for them considering the situation I assume) but generally the service is not there either.

The week day front desk staff was RUDE, he acted like us checking in was an inconvenience to him! The lady over the weekend was much more pleasant... We didn't use the pool or dining, but the coffee service was good. The walls are PAPER thin though, so you can hear the people next to you snoring or whatever else! Also, the exterior sounds all come in. Safe area, clean hotel.

The room and hotel are clean but getting to it, parking across the street and having to cross a BUSY street were a little annoying. Also, there is a hotel being built right next door to the hotel and it was VERY loud! They were nice enough to wait until about 7:30 to start the noise.

This was the worst stay at any hotel in our lives.I specifically called you folks to see what this place was like.No one mentioned that there was Costuction of a new hotel 10 feet from our bedroom window.No one mentioned that there was an $18.00 a night parking charge.There were construction guys looking right into our bedroom at 7 am with cuttoff saws runiing,forklifts,ect ect.It was awfull

The rooms were clean. I bought coffee every morning at the coffee bar and was very good. You are on the beach but 5 miles from Douth Beach.

When we had first checked in we received a room on the side of the building where construction was taking place in the building next door...first thing I see looking out the window,construction workers not by 5 feet from view. With a little cohering I asked to be moved to another room however they said they had none so I asked for then to check again. I payed good money for just one night. Behold they had a room nicer,bigger,but same bed choice...remeber I had to ask twice for them to check again. When we got to that room it was much nicer better view so I was happy. It might appear small and outdated on the outside but it was very nice in the inside. And they even had a maid take us to our room and show us around to see if it was to our liking. Overall it was worth the stay. The beach is right behind it so prime location.

Suited my purpose of good location for decent price at this time of year. Nothing to rave about but a solid 2 star hotel

Cince I reached the hotel who was at the reception dealed with me by bad way without any reason. Moreove He tried to give me room like warehouse even though he had many rooms empty.

Everything was great, great room, location and service. A bit pricy but definitely a nice stay

clean clean clean! loved the bathtub jets, I have a physical job and that was nice to rest in later in the day. There is a large hotel being built right next to this hotel so during the day it is extremely loud. This stops around 6pm. So if you want to go to the pool during the day, forget about a relaxing time. My room was ultra quiet because it was on the other side of the construction. I personally like hotel staff that doesn't feel the need to always talk to me but kind when i have a question and this is how The Mimosa staff is. I really liked that. This area of Miami beach is very nice. South beach is loud and chaotic, North beach , which is where this hotel is located, is quiet lovely. A great choice for a smaller hotel.

Booked this hotel while attending Art Basel at Miami Beach Convention Center. The hotel is centrally located and served us well as it was close to all events without being in the traffic and congestion surrounding the event. This is a small boutique hotel with personal service and we were very happy with the hotel and felt we received value for the room rate.

Although I passed the hotel a couple of times when I did get there I thought that it was very nice and clean and it's definitely some where I will be visiting again and possibly longer this time

It was ok .

I have mixed feelings about my stay. The good things- friendly employees, clean room, convenient location, nice pool, and we were right on the beach. The not so good things- construction right next door that was loud, paper thin walls; I could hear my neighbors, but they were also very loud/drunk and I didn't call and complain. Also the room is very small and the beds were not very comfortable.

Small rooms, lots of noise from the traffic. Staff hardly spoke English, and the pool was FILTHY. Never again.

The room was nice and clean, but, there were problems. They had central A/C that we couldn't control, so it was too cold until we closed most of the vents. They had a washcloth shortage apparently so half the days we didn't get a washcloth, on top of that the two people that I talked to about it didn't know what the word "washcloth" meant. The window rattled when it was windy because the glass was loose. The window unit A/C made dripping noise, perhaps because of the A/C unit right above it. The toilet wouldn't flush all the way. Mostly things they could fix but didn't bother to do.

A spa? There's a spa one a block and a half away! Pictures in the advertising? From another decade. Drinks and prices advertised in the rooms? They were 6.50 on a glossy ad in the room but they charge 7.50 at the small front bar. Want to talk to the manager? He's not in today. You have to pay for parking. 18 dollars a day. If you leave for the evening, your spot is rented to patrons of local bars and restaurants. Leave your keys and we'll find a spot in the morning. Nothing as advertised!

I don't know that I would stay at the Mimosa again, simply because the platform bed about killed my back. That's no blem on the hotel, I just don't sleep well on that sort of bed. We felt the room was a fair deal for the money given the wonderful location and surrounding amenities. The room was small and for the "superior" rate, the slight glimpse of the ocean was not a true added value. Also, our room had an adjoining door to the next room and you could hear every single word and breath our neighbor's took! Not a very private hotel. Overall, it's a quaint place and served us well. We felt the photos and information on the website accurately reflected the property.

The inside of this hotel is great, very clean. Nice rooms with all amenities. If you are planning on doing work and not going outdoors, this is your place.... HOWEVER, the pool area is not as nice as it looks in the pictures, it is small and claustrophobic. The cabana furniture is filthy and needs to be cleaned. The beach is terrible for Miami, it is very small, narrow, and dirty, and there are signs all over posted saying "DANGER underwater obstruction" So you should not swim there, and my children couldnt go in the water. There is MAJOR construction going on directly next door, and we had a view of dirt and machines for two days. Our coffee pot was broken, they sent a man who didnt speak English to come help us. It was difficult trying to tell him what we needed. The staff was not helpful when we requested a new room due to terrible view. Very disappointed with the Mimosa, and will NEVER return or recommend to anyone. Not worth it. There is NO place to park when you pull in the check in, and you have to pay $18 to use the lot across the street. Breakfast is NOT included, they wanted us to pay $5 for a yogurt! Also, there are wild cats all over this place, and they were drinking from the pool!

Its a nice boutique hotel with good interiors and comfortable rooms. Right on the beach with access to the beach and close to all the major locations including both south beach and haluover beach. I will recommend this hotel. Worth it for the price.

we arrived and there were long hairs in our sink and tub, They moved us to a better room, room was nice but bed was a twin for us , a bit small, pillows on bed were not washed ever and were placed one the pillows that were! a bit dirty on hallway carpet, and shower waterruns out into room floor! solved a a towel on the floor nest to shower! construction is going on right next door , but if your not a heavy sleeper no big deal! pool area nice and beach walk is beautiful! not many restuarants close, the closest is Normans and the food was cooked with old gease! no long distant calls included, and bedspread and throw pillows not clean! (normal) breakfast charges are levied and things that you thought were included are not! not a great continental breakfast for 6.50 go across the street to the new york deli and get breakfast soups good, but really dirty!

Hotel is directly on the beach, with Collins Ave in the front. The location is probably the only advantage. The concierge service is awful, they charged my credit card a fee, and also parking when I had no car. The charges werent removed for a full week. They are not friendly or helpful. The rooms are clean, but old and somewhat run down. They do not offer any beach service, and I paid $15 to rent a beach chair from another hotel. Breakfast is not included, not even coffee. You get one free mimosa upon check in, but you have to ask for it. There is loud, ongoing construction right next door. I had to request my room be changed from first to third floor. The rooms are adjoined by a door, the walls are very thin. Needless to say, I heard my neighbors showering, talking etc. I will not stay here again, Ill spend the extra money and stay somewhere with better service and amenities. It actually was very overpriced for what you get.

I stayed at this hotel mainly because of the shopping at Bal Harbour. The hotel is about a fifteen minute taxi ride from the shopping centre and there is also a bus that takes you there directly; the stop is almost in front of the hotel. The best part of staying here by far was the walking/jogging path that is right behind the property: it's safe, clean, and right on front of the beach! Nothing fantastic nearby in terms of food though there is a nice sandwich place across the street which is convenient (healthy selections) and friendly. The hotel staff - mainly the front desk receptionist - was not very friendly or helpful but the interaction was minimal and therefore tolerable. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a/c though it is mounted on the window -- seems like they forgot to get rid of that during the remodeling. All in all, I'd stay there again if I was looking to go back for shopping at Bal Harbour!f

Room was larger than expected. Bath was tight, but, clean and bright. Location. GREAT. Right on the beach. Miami parking nightmare. none. , the lot was right across the street. Kids like the pool. Too cold for me (Xmas), besides the beach was right there and the water was warm. Staff was friendly.

Nice small hotel, very clean with friendly staff. We stayed for 2 nights before a cruise and came back for one more night after the cruise. The pool area is really comfy and quiet.

and you had to pay for it. MCdonalds would have been a better deal in this regard. Otherwise the hotel was fine but the breakfast scenario is really bad.

Nicely located in the Miami Beach area. Took me several go-arounds to figure out where I could park. Staff was exceptional, recommended local restaurants and were generally in high spirits. Room was okay. There was no way to close my room off to the noise in the alley (dumpsters being open and shut). Fortunately, I am a sound sleeper, but this would have been troublesome if I did have trouble sleeping. Shower tiles were aged, but the room was fairly clean. Nothing special. Too much hassle for business travel, but maybe a good choice for a couple on a budget wanting to stay in the area. Safe and hospitable.

We thought the hotel was decorated nicely. Our room was chic and the pool and beach views were fabulous. Cabanas grace the pool area. Two doors up the street is Izzy's comedy club where we spent a fun Friday evening! Con's are, the front desk staff doesn't seem to be overly friendly, our mimosa drinks didn't have any frills not even a cherry and very little champagne. All in all, our weekend was fine and we enjoyed Miami Beach.

I was worried about how clean the hotel was and I ended up being very pleased. Our room was upgraded to ocean view since they did not have any rooms we reserved available and they let us check in 2 hours early at no extra charge. The building is older and could use some updating, the carpet was stained and there were a few other things that could have been improved. The location is GREAT, right on the beach with a nice swimming pool. Walking distance to bars and restaurants and a block away from Walgreens.

Only one small mirror in the bathroom. Nowhere to put personal items in the bathroom except two small shelves that were too high. Our items kept falling on the floor. Window overlooking the ocean did not open. There is no spa there. They say they have an exercise room but it is really a tiny room next to the entrance with some weights.

Attractive and clean, nice pools area, and walk out to beach. Right on Collins Drive. Good value for 1-2 night stay.

it is a very nice hotel, besides the expensive parking which is right across the street, you can be lucky and find metered parking also in front. I like the fact that it's far from noisy south beach but close enough for a 7 mns drive down there

Good location, easy access by car. Clean and renewed room. Small fitness facilities, Nice but very little swiming pool.

"Treningssenteret" var 1stk tredemølle og 10 manualer,2 meter ifra billiard bordet. Var der bare for syns skyld. Dårlig hotell. Når hotellet over gata koster 500kr mindre pr natt

Pas tres bonnes. Bien qu'etant sur la plage, l'hotel est mal situe pour ce qui est des restaurant et du shopping. Lors de notre sejour il y avait un batiment en construction a cote, c'etait donc tres bruyant et la piscine inutilisable.

Completly overrated. The worst hotel ever, with lots of noise and construction site next door...
