Central location near to lovely San Anton park. Tennis courts need some refurbishment but lovely swimming pool.

Excellent service and food. My only complaint is that the air conditioning in the meeting room was too high and I came home with a heavy cold!

The welcome you receive makes you feel really special.It is a beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings.

The Gardens of the Hotel were lovely. The Hotel is in a peaceful setting. The Cleaning staff do an excellent job and were very friendly. The Breakfast was superb. The swimming pool is is great need of upgrading. Sharp bolts stick up behind one of the 'in pool' seating areas. The tile edges on some of the steps in the pool were very rough edged. All in all there is an air of former grandeur in this Hotel and lots of refurb. work needing done.

Great hotel in good location as we had hired a car to tour round the island. Only downside was wifi connection was costly should have been free. Luckily there were many free wifi spots around elsewhere around Malta.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful. From the bellboy to the waiters, everyone was there to help. Only meal we ate at the hotel was breakfast, but the options were vast. Anything and everything. Free parking just across the road, seemed to have plenty of space, but then again it was January. Only downside was the wifi access was very expensive, €4 for 1 hour, or €30 for 24. In this day and age it should be free. I didn't use it, I stuck to using other open wifi points I had found on the island. The Zmerc pub round the corner is great. Table service and loads of free food continually brought to the table :-)

i would have expected the receptionist to tell me where the indoor pool was, where the spa was, where the gym was, where the breakfast room was etc; etc. The room i got was a fantastic one, clean and well kept but unfortunately i could smell cigarettes. This means that whoever was in the room before me, smoked and this should not be. Also there could be more TV stations like the all Rai and Mediaset stations.

Overall it was a nice ecperience the only problem was that pool hours for kids are betwern 8 am and 10.30 am. We were not informed before booking this hotel about this inconvenience. My kids were excited to use the indoor pool and we were only told about the hours when we went to use the pool. So i would not recommend this hotel to a couple with small children who want to have a relaxing break.

Old Fashioned quality Hotel, we stayed for 6 days in September 2011 Peaceful location in centre of Island 10 Minutes drive from Coast, 5 Minutes drive from Rabat which is well worth a visit. Car is very useful due to location although the Hotel runs a Mini Bus into town and back which is free. Mostly couples type hotel due to distance from Night Life, also worth visiting the small number of local restaurants just out of the front gates of the hotel turn left 50 Metres, they are deceptively large so do go inside and have a Pizza/Pasta, coffee or Pastry. Hotel outdoor restaurant serves good Pizza and Pasta also with reasonable prices. Staff through out hotel excellent and if you can book a suite as we did they are huge with a separate living room with 42" LCD Tvs Sofa and a couple of chairs along with a dining table and chairs, great to have the extra space although the standard rooms are still good size and immaculately clean. Tried the in house Chinese Restaurant and it was OK but needs more experienced staff to get the best from it. Overall 9 out of 10 We liked it and hope to return for Christmas 2011

Unfortunately there was no organisation in the dining room in the evening. We booked in advancefor our first evening there, when we entered the dinig room we were left waiting 15 mins before being shown to a table, it had been made up of 2 small tables as there were 4 of us but we were all to sit in a row. This was not acceptable so WE removed 1 of the tables and sat 4 around a small one. We waited another 10 mins for menus, they brought 3, we asked for a forth only to discover 2 were in Italian. My husband ordered the 4 course set menu and they forgot to bring his second course, when we pointed this out as his third course arrived it took another 5 mins or so before the head waiter arrived to ask if he still wanted it. My husband eventually ended up eating his third course when we had all finished. This is totally unacceptable. We made our point and eat elsewhere for the rest of the holiday.

The words ' Grand old Hotel' spring to mind. It is a lovely hotel and the staff are very welcoming. The exterior of the hotel could do with a facelift even if only a power wash and lick of paint to give it a bit of a freshen up. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed but has a slightly dated feel with that old grandeur ambiance again. All in all a charming hotel that grows on you the longer you stay.

Six star comfort that retains a family atmosphere ! Inspired by the great general manager,Mr. Roti,the staff make everyone feel special!

We stayed in Corinthia Palace Hotel for a week in May 2011 and loved it. Pure luxury. On check in we were upgraded to a suite. The bed was so comfortable and the staff were pleasant. The gym and swimming pools were outstanding. The hotel is located away from major sights and nightlife but we took advantage of the free shuttle buses to Valletta and St Julians. The hotel is quite expensive for Food and Drink, which is to be expected for a luxury hotel, but Medina Gardens restaurant across the road was very reasonable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed for four nights in Feb, paying half price with their winter deal. It's probably 4 star rather than 5, but a very nice place to stay and great value for the price we paid. * The hotel is in a nice quiet area, but there are still a few bars, cafes & restaurants. Remember, Malta is tiny, so you are never going to be far from other places you want to visit! * The reception staff and concierge were excellent - very friendly & helpful. * Hotel manager had a visible presence, which was nice to see. * Good quality breakfasts, with plenty of things to choose from. Breakfast staff were a bit grumpy tho! * Included in our stay were: complimentary mini bar, plus a free massage. There does seem to be confusion about the mini bar, despite being clearly stated on their own website... and you do have to ask for these included extras, so don't be shy! * The only restaurant we ate in was the Rickshaw. To be honest, the food really wasn't any better than some takeaways we get at home! * The outdoor pool & pizza restaurant were closed for winter, but looked very nice. * Spa facilities were decent. Slightly annoying being charged €6.41 to hire tennis rackets & balls in a 5 star hotel! * Complimentary shuttle bus to Sliema & St Julian was very handy. Overall a nice, relaxing place to stay and we will definitely go back again.

The beds and pillows are super comfortable with spacious rooms. The staff were friendly and professional. There was nothing that was to much trouble for them. The pool was fantastic and the outdoor area clean. The spa was relaxing with a wonderful sauna and outdoor area with a fish pond and birds chirping in the trees. Close to all amenities and within a 3 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. Many tour companies come to collect the guests from the hotel which the conscierge so kindly arranges for the guests. Brilliant - The Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa gets 10/10 from me.

The hotel and rooms are very pretty. The service also very good. The breakfast offered a large variety to choose from. The pool food/drinks service, though a bit slow due to the too little staff ratio to the number of guests in the pool area, has a very selection of food and drinks. The outdoor pizza/Italian restaurant should be avoided, even though the service was very good and friendly, I was not at all happy with the food. I would definitely recommend you eat somewhere else. There are 2 more restaurants in the hotel, but I did not get a chance to try them. All in all, I look forward to coming back to the hotel as it was definitely its moneys worth. Very peaceful and quite. Recommendable for families and romantic getaway. If you want to be in the party area though of the island then this is not the right hotel for you as it is a 20 minute drive away from where most of the party nightlife is. Was not able to use the SPA services as they were completely booked out so I would recommend you make reservations for any desired treatments as soon as you arrive. The gym is very well equipped.

My wife and I went for a relaxing week's holiday and that is certainly what you can do at this charming 5 Star hotel. We live in a quiet location and the one thing above all others that my wife looks for is a quiet room. On our arrival we checked in and were given keys to a lovely double bedroom. The room was nice but we could hear an external air-conditioning unit running, this was not noisy but I knew my wife would lay awake at night hearing it. I went back to reception and explained and asked if another room was available. Everybody was so helpful my wife and I were shown a further 4 rooms before we decided on room 230. Although there are local buses and the hourly guided tour buses call close to the hotel I think you do really need to have a hire car while staying at this hotel and to get around the Island. We stayed while the World Cup Football was on so there was that to watch in the evenings otherwise there is little or no night life nearby except for a couple of bar restaurants which were good value for money. If you are looking for a luxury hotel with charm, nice gardens, swimming pool and helpful staff then this hotel is for you. If the right deal comes along my wife and I will certainly go back for a short stay.

Definitely deserves five stars - great choice of hotel restaurants, fab air conditioning and we enjoyed indoor / outdoor pools and tennis court. Tried a massage - would avoid "thermo" treatments (feels like being burnt). Also, don't eat outside in the evenings if you get bitten by midges. Not much nearby but frequent buses.

Detta hotell överträffade alla våra förväntningar, som redan var höga. Mycket hög kvalité på rummet, goda restauranger på hotellet och en personal som var genuint hjälpsam och vänlig. På vägen hem sade min fru att vi måste komma tillbaka snart. Inte för att hon längtar tillbaka till Malta mer än till andra resmål, men just för att hon älskade hotellet!

Trés bien ,pb au petit déjeuner ,il faut attendre longtemps avavant d'avoir sa boisson chaude ,souvent la queue aussi pour avoir une table.

Vi har været meget tilfreds med det hele på det hotel. det er et super godt sted at være når man har børn.

Personnel accueillant, lit gigantesque et confortable, moquette somptueuse, petit déjeuner super. C'était très bien, sauf pour le trouver!

L'hotel è uno dei primi alberghi di lusso in territorio maltese e, anche se l'età mostra qualche segno, conserva molto del suo fascino. Non è sicuramente un hotel per "modaioli" - VIP (o presunti tali) - o amanti delle baldorie notturne: si distingue invece per la discrezione ed il Bon Ton La posizione centrale dell'hotel permette di raggiungere tutti i siti comodamente. Le camere sono ottimamente insonorizzate, pulite e confortevoli, anche se un poco "retrò" nell'arredamento... Personale discreto, pronto e professionale, anche se qualcuno non parla italiano...

Fint hotell med gammal del (genuint) och ett trevligt spa/gym. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Lite slitet men allt fungerade och fyllde sitt behov. Sköna sängar. Trevlig och lugn omgivning nära en fin park.

Having seen Corinthias other 5-star hotel in Malta (at St. Julians), I fail to see how they can both be 5-star with St Julians the clear and outright winner. The hotel as such is fine, good management and cleanliness, but it is clearly dated, and in requirement of some tender loving care in many areas. The location in the middle of the island is great for business use, when you just catch at cab on company expenses and go where you want. For the Tourist it is a pain having to commute wherever and whenever you want to see anything. A quiet walk in the neighbourhood is very safe - not to say dull. This is a 100% residential area, with not the slightest hint of nightlife within 25 minutes walk. For extended stays, be prepared to use only the hotel's restaurants (1 posh, 1 pizza, 1 Chinese(closed this aug) and occasionably the Pool Bar). Outside hotel in the neighbourhood 1 restaurant, 1 cafeteria, 1 wine bar. We ended up with Pizza for 5 nights. Excellent management and food quality, but boring in the long run. The pool is well maintained, pool staff friendly - quite 'serious and calm' clientele (probably connected to the hotel prices). Overall we expected something different from a 5-star hotel, and think they should consider a more fair declaration like 3½ star or something like that. Sorry Corinthian, we did try to switch our booking to your other hotel, but you wanted to charge us triple money for the remaining days, and we are not 'that' wealthy.

Vi holdt en uges sommerferie på hotellet.Vi var meget tilfredse med hotellets serviceniveau og generelle standard. Dele af inventaret trænger dog til udskiftning. Ligger i et roligt område mellem Valetta og Mdina. Lidt langt fra alting, men hotelbussen kører et par gange om dagen til stranden, Sliema eller Valetta. Vi kan godt anbefale hotellet

Durch den sehr freundlichen Service konnten wir am ersten Tag über die Mängel im Zimmer hinwegsehen. Jedoch lässt der sogenannte Spa-Bereich sehr zu wünschen übrig: kaputte Holzlatten im Aussenbereich, teilw. verrostet Metallteile und das Ganze nicht ganz sauber - und das für ein 5*-Hotel!!! Wir haben das ausdrücklich mitgeteilt und hoffen auf Besserung. Wir würden nämlich sehr gerne wieder kommen.

Beautiful hotel opposite of the estate where Malta's president lives. Hotel guests can use the indoor and outdoor pools as well as the gym for free and are provided free towels for this. Further, there is a spa where one can book massages and facials at fair prices. Sadly, internet is not for free. Since the hotel is in a small village with nothing much around, hiring a car is recommendable. However, the hotel also organises shuttles to major sights all over Malta. Further, the hotel has 4 different restaurants which are open at night. The hotel rooms are big and very clean, with very big beds (2m broad). The rooms include a balcony, minibar, TV, ample cupboards and new furniture. If wanted, bedsheets are changed every day. As already mentioned, the hotel is in a quiet region and between 11pm and 1am, all restaurants and bars of the hotel close. After that, it is completely quiet. This hotel is therefore not recommendable for people who seek extensive night life but for those who value their night's rest...

Mycket trevligt hotell i gammal kolonial stil med trevlig trädgård och pool. Hotellet erbjuder gratis busstjänst till systerhotell vid havet samy shopping både i Valetta och Shilema vilket är uppskattat. Det man kan klaga på är att tennisbanan är i dåligt skick samt att restaurangen vid poolen kvällstid inte är speciellt bra. Positivt är också att restaurang "Rickshaw" är en av de bättre restaurang köken jag ätet på senare år, absolut ett måste att besöka denna asiatiska restaurang som ligger i källaren på hotellet.

Etter at vi hadde reist rundt på Malta, var vi endå sikrare på at vi hadde valt rett hotell. Malta er Europas tettaste befolka land, slik at grøne plekker var det lite av.( Gozo derimot var grøn.) Hotellet låg omkransa av ein flott hage, i tillegg til at over gata låg San Antons Garden. Frukosten var god og sengene var betre enn heime! Personalet var særdeles hyggelege og hjelpsame. Hotellet hadde også basseng og spaavdeling. Unn deg ei veke på Malta og gjerne på Corinthia Palace Hotel.

Hotel har en fin atmosfär och ett gediget gammalt hotell, skulle behövas fixas till vid poolerna, målas om o.s.v underhållas lite bättre när det gäller utearr..

Äußerst freundliches Hotelpersonal, große Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet. Gehobene Zimmerausstattung wie Flachfernsher mit einigen englischen und zwei deutschen Fernsehprogrammen (Deusche-Welle-TV und RTLII), Kaffee- und Teezubereiter, Safe. Hoteleigener Shuttle-Bus wurde nicht benutzt, da wir einen Mietwagen hatten. Genügende kostenlose Parkplätze rings um das Hotel.

Mycket trevligt hotell i äldre stil med SPA och trevligt poolområde. Dock ligger hotellet ej centralt (7 km till Valetta) men hotellet tillhandahåller gratis minibuss till shopping områden och havsbad.

Very good service and generally high standard. Beautiful outdoor pool area. Good spa and a well equipment gym.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and I'm sorry to say we were very disappionted. We've previously stayed at the Corinthia hotel in St.julian and loved it there. But this hotel was a big disappointment. First of all what makes an old hotel like this a 5 star hotel is what it offers: many different restaurants, bars, spa treatments - and above all perhaps - the service.. (or so we thought) Other than this it is just an old outdated hotel, with many flaws. Up until the last morning we stayed here, we had let everything pass.. The variable service in the restaurants, the dirty room we'd got, the extra items put on our mini-bar bills every day - the half-bad treatments in the spa, (do not get a manicure!) the staring at us because our kids made even a noise..little things you might say - but when it happens again and again - it's not at all fun. To top it all off the consierge had managed NOT to be able to book a taxi-bus, with enough space for our luggage and with two seats for our babies - after I the night before repeated it three times when I booked - three times - and we suddenly stood there about 1 hour before our plane left, stuck with a regular sized taxi with no baby seats - and all the hotel did was trying to find out who's fault this was - what was the name of the guy working when I booked the car..! Instead of finding a solution - or even trying. That was what ruined the rest of the vacation for us.. Nobody tried finding the solution for us - the important thing was finding out who's fault the mistake was. We had a terrible ride to the airport. Luggage everywhere, and the children not at all safely fastened. We even had to stop several times because the driver could not shut the back door and luggage kept falling out..! Hope none of the other guests have to experience what we did. It was not at all worth it...

Very nice hotel with a dedicated staff. Good restaurants, fair prices and a pleasant environment. Had a large discount on my stay trough Hotels.com. All together a very fine holyday on a great island.

Alt levede op til forventningerne og mere til.. Hotellet er en meget unik oplevelse, da det er en tidligere gigantisk vila, der nu anvendes som 1. klasses hotel. Vi var afsted to voksne og to små børn. Der var god plads til os alle på værelset. Børnene nød poolområdet meget, og der var god mulighed for leg og plask, selvom det ikke er et typisk børnefamiliehotel. Vi havde bestilt halvpension hjemmefra, hvilket viste sig at være en lækker morgenbuffet, og om aftenen 4 retters tallerkenserveret middag i hotellets fineste restaurent. Alt i alt en prima oplevelse.

Good hotel for business travellers if you manage to get a discounted rate. Nice staff at the reception. Clean rooms. Maybe a little updated (restoroom, windows, TV) but the comfort level was good. They dont reply to emails .. Be sure to tell Corinthia Palace in Attard to the Taxi Driver since there seem to be more than one Corithia.

It was a generaly good hotel ok 5 star, especially good spa, good equpitment at gym and comfort. Exellent service! Not so good food though and minibar was simple. Good taxi sevice and close to local bus for thoose who wants that.
