Nothing much to write home about but a reasonable priced place (by Hong Kong standard) if you just need a place to sleep and not spending much time in your room otherwise. The bed however is small (the two single bed type) and uncomfortable (feel the spring inside the mattress).

Location - Impossible to get anywhere from this hotel. Taxi's are hestitant to stop particulary on game day during the 7's and forget public transportation, by the time the bus stops across the street from the hotel, its full. Comfort - I can difinitively say this is the most uncomfortable hotel. the beds are like cement blocks, the pillows are well like cement blocks, the shower leaks, the room service is outrageously expensive for the quality, and the rooms are general need of updating. Good news there is a Starbucks across the street and the elevators at the hotel work.

It was only an overnight stay before returning home so the hotel was perfectly adequate. The front desk staff were brusque and it was the only hotel on a three week trip that took a deposit at the desk before issuing a key and then awaited the report from room service before cancelling the deposit! A bit of a surprise.

Would have preferred the dailt newspaper.

This was a nice hotel to stay in. It's not particularly close to the metro but it's not too far away by taxi and it is in a good area. I really like how comfortable and spacious our room was (which is rare for HK!). Overall it was good value for money and I would stay there again.

Overall we had a great time, my only suggestion to F&B management is to upgrade the food served at buffet breakfast.

Quite satisfied with my stay at the hotel.

This hotel was a bit overpriced for what it offered. Outdated, sad decor and hard as a rock beds. Not comfortable at all. My husband called them a "plywood box covered with sheets" We got woken up by a big group that was yelling in the hallway and the walls are very thin -- we could hear the hotel staff coming and going in the mornings. The staff was accomodating, but not overly friendly. The location for us was the one thing that was very convenient and the tram stops right in front and it is very easy to figure out and take you to the ferry or MTR. It is definitely not extremely central, but good enough on the western side of the island. I would agree with other reviewers that said to just pay the extra money and stay at the nice Courtyard Marriot that was right across the street. Looked nicer than any of the ones you see in the U.S. and brand new.

nice place to stay with ; location is accessible to different spots; for services,,their were staff go beyond extra mile helping us where to go and what bus to ride but got some few staff esp. in the check in area dont wear a smile and dont know what package we get lucky i have my email details,,,but overall its ok

This is a very average tourist hotel. While room is probably a bit more roomier than the usually tight quarters offered by Hong Kong tourist class hotel rooms, the decor is very old and dated. Carpet is filthy. No complimentary botteled water provided, contrary to the hotel write up in Hotel.com.

Arrived and i was sent two times to different rooms the keys just wouldn't open. After bookin a queen double bed i was asignes two very hard beds. Just couldn't rest. Avoid if you can.

The bed is to hard. Phone call to USA $7 usd for a minut. The room not like the pics.

It was not bad, the receptionist who checked me in on my arrival was very friendly, but the one on my departure had no clue what was going on but she was not totally bad. I guess needs more training and there was only concierge who was occupied and didn't have the time to serve me at all even thou I stood along for a while and no one offered to help the poor guy.

Affordable and excellent hotel in Hong Kong which is a difficult combo to find! Couldn't be happier with my stay in this vintage and well maintained hotel. The staff was helpful and the convenient location was perfect. Far enough from the central area to be quiet and close enough to get there in a 10 minute tram ride for $2.30 HKD. Tram to get around the city picks up right in front of the hotel. Would stay there again :)

Can provide more outlets for computer usage should be perfect.

Had to wait long time to check in. Had to ask for complimentary water only then received it. Poor customer service. Will not stay again here.

Needs to renovate.

Although the subway are not within walking distance, but the airport transfers bus stop and the electric trams are within a minute distance. In fact, you can easily access to many places with the buses and electric trams around. The hotel is comfortable and clean. It was our second stay there. You can easily find some really local food places around within the vicinity of the hotel. Plus there are two convenience stores around 24/7 within 30 seconds distance from the hotel.

Wanted to explore a new place to stay but overall not satisfactory. Many other better options available

Hotel location

The beds are very hard. The shower not all that clean and the water would not heat beyond slightly warm. The rooms are very small. Breakfast...I found to be unappetizing. And the service was sub par. Not bad, but not good overall.

It's OK only complaint is the distance to the nearest MTR. And that the shuttle service is not available after 7pm.

Good as expected! Perhaps the Hotel can improce the Bathroom Shower as it is too small for one normal Asian Man to fit in, let alone take shower!

Should have free wifi or free internet connection in the room as well.

Rooms were nice but a little tight for three people.

I was apprehensive because of some of the reviews but this hotel was perfect for our party of three. The first day there was a strange smell on the first floor but it was gone the next day. This was mentioned in another review. We had a Deluxe room with 3 twin beds. The room was clean and we had a small sitting area with a couch, table and chairs. The beds are very hard and the pillow firm/thin, but we adjusted. Lots of street sound in early evening and we were on the 20th floor. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The tubular shower was a close fit but the water pressure was strong and the water hot. You receive one outlet adapter per room and the room had a coffee pot and fridge. This is a neighborhood location and we ate good, inexpensive food locally. There is a currency exchange right across the street and a local convenience store. A McDonalds within walking distance if you crave junk food. The breakfast buffet in the hotel was OK but nothing to write home about. There is a small health club with a treadmill and other equipment. The desk staff was helpful and addressed concerns promptly. I was there for business at the University but brought my family who walked the neighborhood. Easy access to taxi and bus service just outside the door. I would stay here again.

We were a high school robotics team staying in HK for a competition, so we needed fairly cheap accommodations located as close to the Peak as possible. The Ramada was a great deal, the food we had in the cafe was very good, our rooms were clean and comfortable with amenities. The neighborhood was older but had shops and small cafes that we enjoyed. The concierge was very good about helping me locate a needed robot part in HK. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Good Hotel but Internet should be made free

It is extremely inconvenient with no free wifi access in the hotel room. However, the free shuttle provided makes it very easy for those who are visiting Macau after HK as it offers direct transport to the ferry terminal. There is also free shuttle to IFC where one could check in their luggage thus saving time to check in at the airport.

Hotel is close to central HK, and great location if you're coming from the Macau Ferry Station. Room and service quality was top-notch. Only downside is that WiFi is not free for rooms, and is only available in the lobby (which can get cold in winter), although there is a computer room which is free for use for guests. Would gladly stay again!

My only complaint about this hotel is that the pillows are pancakes. They brought me extra pillows and blankets cause there is no heat- but that is pretty standard for hk. They really need new pillows!

hotel was well kept, room clean everyday, very spacious room queensize bed, but very firm, took a few nights to get used to it. convenience, plenty of chinese food in area open till 11pm every night, and very cheap and good qaulity food. buses and trams to central hong kong for 25p hk$2.30 hk$12=£1.00. excellent value for money, also airport express bus over road for hk$40pp which was cheaper than taxi and plenty of luggage space on bus. atm`s in area, and money changers in office hours. i recomend this hotel to anybody,except those who don`t like a firm bed.

no internet access

Isolated & out of the way for most people, but OK for me as I have friends in the area. But those wanting to shop & sightsee & nightlife, there's nothing near. The streets are deserted after 9 pm. Shower cubicles are tiny, always bumping elbows against the wall as I soap up. Toiletries are rather basic. Otherwise a typical hotel for its price & category.

The hotel is easily accessible by bus ,tram and to alesser extend th MTR. Because the road in front of the hotel is a one way street , it is a little tricky when coming back to the hotel. If taking the cab tell the driver 'water street" which is situated next to this street. locacal name in Cantonese dialect is "shiou kay" which directly translate to water street.

It was well located and clean, a little bit bigger size than other HK hotel. But, the bed is too small and two weak, not comfortable due to matt. Anyway, it is well located and reasonable price.
