Hotel was great, clean & beautiful, they offer a lot of convienent seviceshowever, the fully staffed hotel's employee's are not just being friend ly they are constantly looking for a tip, and a big tip they expect tips for every lil thing and when given less than a $10 bill they could be heard complaining. Overall the hotel was amazing just be prepared to tip!!!!

We stayed for three nights and wish it was longer. The room was great (wood view with bunk beds) and met our expectations. We didn't have a lot of time to explore all the resort has to offer. We would go back and would recommend to friends and family.

This was the first time my family has stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, and I definitely recommend it. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the room was nice... but the convenience of the transportation to the parks (especially the Magic Kingdom) was the highlight. Buses run regularly (every 20 minutes, I think), as do the boats that take you directly to the Magic Kingdom entrance. And the hotel has both restaurants (pricey) and a 'grill' (not as pricey), so food was convenient and reasonable.

Been to several Disney hotels. This is a must!

Really enjoyed and appreciated the "Montana-Style" lodge and the proximity to the Magic Kingdom. Transportation was very convenient with buses and boats running every 10-15 minutes (never had to wait more than 10 for a bus) and the Magical Express running to/from Orlando airport. Price was higher than average, but worth it if you appreciate the amenities of convienence and you're able to take advantage of the options on the resort.

This "hotel" lodge is modeled after the Old Faithful Lodge Yellow Stone, and they nailed it with a Disney twist. The lobby is gorgeous, as is the rest of the lodge. I have read some reviews on here that mention the rooms are nothing special and "regular" hotel rooms. I did not find this to be the case. The hall ways to the rooms are a little long and the elevator location could be better, but the rooms are in typical Disney fashion, well themed and very nice. They are also very quite. My infant son started to cry during the night. I left the room to go get some milk and as soon as the door shut you couldn't hear him. As was expected all the staff was very attentive and genuinely courteous.

Before going to Disney I researched every possible way of doing it. Staying at a luxury resort hotel, a discount hotel, renting a condo, etc.We're so glad that we decided to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. It was gorgeous with attention to the smallest details. I was worried about room size because I had read some reviews, but I found the rooms to be standard and quite comfortable. We didn't spend all that much time in our rooms anyway. There was so much to do around the resort and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Of course, after a full day at the parks we were exhaused and enjoyed the comfortable beds.

What can I say - this Disney resort is TOP NOTCH!! Of course all Disney customer service is excellent, but there was a special something here that truly felt like home. The location is ideal if you are a fan of the Magic Kingdom (fun boat ride to MK!), but also easy to access other parks with a short bus ride. Food and drinks were excellent, as we ate both in Whispering Canyon for lunch and Artist Point for dinner (buffalo flank steak and the cobbler dessert were WOW!!!). The ambiance and atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest was fantastic & "homey" and of course searching the hotel for "hidden Mickeys" was fun too! I have stayed at many of the WDW resorts and this is by far my new favorite!

As always, the hotel was beautiful as well as the ground. We could see the fireworks from our room and everyone was super helpful and friendly. We initially thought someone had previously smoked maybe a pipe in the room but teized it was whatever they use to clean as the elevator area smelled the same. The key pad cover was on the floor in the hallway when we got back to the room, which made me a little nervous, but still worked and there was no issue. It is by far my favorite Disney Hotel.

I have stayed here twice before this last vist and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. The wilderness cost more than hotels but you get what you pay for. Location-location-location!

Great property, convenient to shuttles and boat rides to the park, clean, excellent staff, eveything you would need or want in one place etc... Well worth the money!

We found the hotel a home away from home! Very comfortable, restaurants were terrific! The Whispering Canyon Cafe was a fun experience ...don't want to spoil your experience! The food was also quality! The other counter restaurant was also great! Pool was terrific, as well as the pool bar! Everyone was very accommodating! Beds were comfy too! A really nice experience, kids loved it as well!

Everything about the hotel was great. Rent a boat, rent a bike , swim or just relax. Rustic looking hotel with great service and hospitality. Highly recommend. I always have stayed outside the park. Never will again. Between the extra hours you receive in the park and the bus transportation (or in this hotel you can take a boat directly to Magic Kingdom) makes it well worth the while to stay inside the park.

This resort exceeded all of my expectations. I honestly cannot say enough about our experience. We resort is beautiful; it is the most stunning hotel that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The customer service was outstanding. We were greeted at the door, given a tour, and our room was upgraded (checked in on a Monday). We will be back to Disney again (hopefully annually) and will ALWAYS stay at Wilderness Lodge. Also, it is so convenient - 5 min boatride (never waited longer than a few minutes for a boat) to Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, Fort Wilderness, etc.

Our stay at the Wilderness Lodge was fantatic. The rooms were very comfortable, staff was friendly and the grounds are picturesque. My wife and I's favorite part is being on Disney grounds and how convenient it makes getting to the theme parks and back. It is worth the price increase of staying there...makes the vacation so much more enjoyable!!!

The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Over all I liked the beauty of the hotel and its surroundings.

The Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful hotel with many amenities, but our room on the 4th floor smelled musty and damp. We expected more from a hotel of this caliber.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Wilderness Lodge. Guest service was very helpful and lots of extras to keep the kids busy and entertained. Make reservations if eating dinner at one of the Lodge's restaurants, or you'll be waiting forever. We would return again.

Excellent friendly staff with a great enviroment. Truly enjoyed ourself.

A great and fun stay. A good souveneir shop with sensible pricing, quality of food in main resturant was poor but much better in the Artist Point Resturant. People generally happy and cheerful and understand that you want to have a magical day! The Hotel caters well for the Disney Resorts but if you have plans to go anywhere else you are mostly on your own.

The hotel offers activities to keep children entertained and for adults to relax. Great work out room and easy access to parks. I recommend this hotel while visiting Orlando Florida.

We were pleasantly surprised when we got checked in our room at 1:30 pm. Room was accesible, although we didn't require it, so the walk in shower was a bit different than having a tub/shower. The bed was the biggest problem as it had a large depression in the center of the mattress. It wasn't terrible, but it was definitely a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, the lodge is wonderful. Close to everything, but you feel a million miles away. Suprisingly quiet for a Disney hotel.

From the minute you go through the gates entering Disney you are transfered to another dimension. The lodge foyer was simply amazing and looks remarkably similar to Yellowstone. The geyser erupts every hour by the pool and spa. The rooms were apointed nicely, and above average. We were allowed an early check in as the season was early and a late check out to enjoy the pool. Who stays in a room anyway while on holidays when the Magic Kingdom is only a short boat ride away!

This was a great hotel for frequenting Magic Kingdom. The ferry was quick and easy, a fun way to travel there. We never waited long for the ferry. Travelling to other Disney locations involved using the bus system but that worked well too. We never waited long. The room was exactly as advertised. The kids loved the bunkbeds. The pool, hottub and wading pool were lovely and well supervised. Our kids loved the water slide. Food options were limited but overall we really enjoyed our stay here.

Disney and I turned 40 this year - I grew up thanks to my father going to Disney a couple of times a year from Pennsylvania. This year my parents and children decided to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. The rooms were clean size was decent but service was the worst that I have ever experienced in any hotel in my life. The staff at the front desk did not know what they were doing – we got in before our room was ready and they never text or phone me when the room was ready. The full service dining was mediocre. The quick service was downright slow to the point that my kids fell asleep before I could order b/c there was not enough people staffed – the park closed at 10 pm the restaurant is open till midnight – there is a rush when the park closes – staff it. And then the concierge gave us incorrect information on getting to the park early b/c of breakfast reservations. The front desk then treat me rude b/c I questioned a charge on the bill. The only good thing was that the boat ride to the park was easy. Not saying that I will not stay in the park again – but I will go back to the Dolphin. Prior to the vacation I had my wife 90% convinced into buying into Disney’s Vacation Time Shares – I am sending back the information after this experience.

We love the Wilderness Lodge. This was our second visit here, and again, we had a lovely stay. The lodge has the feel of the rustic lodges of our National Parks. Lots of neat special touches that Disney is so good at. If you get a chance, take the Wilderness Lodge tour. Very interesting and fun. Also, there's a nice trail to Fort Wilderness for walking or biking. Surrounding area is very natural and relaxing.

If you are going to the Magic Kingdom, look no further than this hotel. Awesome access to the park and the grounds and service is great. The club level concierge is the best I have seen at any hotel ever. Very accommodating.

Awesome, awesome hotel. Had so much to do for kids and adults! Would def go back!

This was our first time visiting the Orlando, Disney Parks. We were surprised at how courteous the staff was. We went to Epcot and Disneyworld. You can take a shuttle to both locations. They also offer the option of having everything (even park admission, food, souvenirs) charged to your room. If you have kids, there are activities daily, such as movie night. Next time we go, we may have a day to just veg at the hotel. We didn't have a chance to utilize the pool, but it was open pretty late till around 10 pm. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

The seven of us shared two rooms. It was great. Hotel rooms are far from elevator, going down hallway after hallway. Just thinking we were near and around the corner is another hallway, "Disney"d. Other than that, it was all very nice. We ate room service when all reservations were booked. It was good food and very convenient. When we were ready to check out, we called ahead for bell service to get our bags down and got our valet car delivered before we checked out so we didn't have to wait when we were ready to leave hotel. Great service.

Don't get me wrong --we really enjoyed being at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and my 4 year old son LOVED this place. The only complaint I have is this: I had specifically asked for a quiet room -- I said I didn't care about the view or the size of the room or anything, I just wanted it to be quiet. The room we were given was very lovely and it happened to overlook the beach -- which is where, every night at 9:30 pm, they show an outdoor MOVIE -- LOUDLY. Not a problem if you are out enjoying the parks and not in your room trying to sleep, which is exactly what we were trying to do the second night of our stay. I called the front desk and they were very apologetic. They were kind enough to move us to a different room where we couldn't hear the movie, but it turned out that from this room, we could hear the people in the nearby swimming pool until about 10:30 at night. Not the hotel's fault -- you'd think guests might show a bit of consideration and be quiet at that time of night, but I found that many people vacationing here were not very considerate. We would be woken up by people talking loudly in the halls at 11:30 at night. Anyway, I don't know if any of the other Disney property hotels are any better, or any hotels, period, and I will say that this one was very nice in every other way. It's just not very quiet.

Excellent as always from Disney. I am lucky that I live in Florida and look forward to staying at each and every disney location. The staff is amazing and friendly!

As two adults traveling to DW, you need to just accept every where you go there will be lots of children. The room was small but clean and enjoyable. They gave us a king as requested that had a lovely accessible bathroom. The best food was in the very loud canyon cafe but if you are in the right mood you can enjoy the wonder of Disney figuring out how the little (noise invoking) things can thrill children.

We loved the Wilderness Lodge but have stayed at the Epcot area resorts and prefer the proximity to the parks and the shorter bus rides compared to the relative distance from the Wilderness lodge. The surroundings, buildings, dining options and service were wonderful. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The boat rides to the Fort Wilderness and Contemporary resorts were excellent.

Great family hotel. Excellent location and convenient access to park transportation system.
