Super 8 Monticello Ny - מונטיצ'לו

Staff was friendly but rug hadn't been vacuumed and room was musty.

We stayed for an overnight after going the raceway to hear some music. It was hard for me to feel comfortable. The place was very small and the bed didn't seem inviting at all. There were two very small flat pillows provided and we asked for more they said no. there were holes in the curtains and the heat wouldn't come on in the morning. The neighborhood is not a very good one. If I weren't there with my husband, I wouldn't have stayed. The bathroom was clean though although we didn't shower there.

The motel was clean and nearby my job for the week. I liked the fact there was a loveseat in the room.

My stay was fine no problems,but I must admit the place needs a upgrade/remodel.Everything is out dated and getting old, that included's the surrounding area.For a short visit is reasonable.

I'm easy to please. It was clean, quiet & comfortable, with a relatively fast WiFi connection. The fitness room only had a treadmill, workout bike and stairmaster, so I missed my upper body workout, but it was a good value. It was where I needed to be, it was affordable and I didn't find anything wrong or off-putting.

The rooms were smelly. They were very small and dirty. it was priced too high for this small town. We needed ten rooms for a family furneral and they refused to work with us and give us a good rate. We had to go to two different hotels. I did get the better rate on Hotel .com, but they would not honor it for any other rooms. Poor customer service!!!

The stairs up to the second floor were filthy and smelly. The room was clean but needs an update in furniture and carpet. For one night it was ok but I would not stay another night there.

This place looked like they filmed a horror flick prior to our stay. The hallway carpets looked like they were stained with a blood trail. The only wifi is in the lobby or the first few rooms from the lobby. We did not have wifi in our room. I would not stay here again if you paid me to.

The sheets were stained and apparently unchanged. The bathroom showed some signs of mildew. The shower curtain as particularly dirty. The room would have been comfortable if the cleanliness could be fixed.

The outside of this hotel and the area were a bit sketchy, but the room was clean and relatively comfortable. This is OK for a one night stay on your way someplace else, but wouldn't recommend it for more then that. Other hotels, with like costs are in the area.

The room had a king size bed and was quite comfortable. How unfortunate that there were hairs on the pillows -- particularly since they were not mine. I was not thrilled to see there were no bagels offered for breakfast the next morning either but my room overall was comfortable and clean.

Very dirty! Dirty carpeted walkways. The rooms shook when someone walked past on the walkway. The refrigerator smelled like sour milk. The toilet was filthy. The curtains were coming off the hooks. Do not stay here

The little service we required was overall very good. The manager was very, very accommodating and nice. The room was very clean and comfortable except for the carpeting which could be updated and cleaner. However, the area wherein the Motel is situated is a very, very depressing area. The whole street/town looks run down, very old and is depressing looking. We had been in Monticello many, many years ago and we were completely disappointed in the area in which the motel is located as it is today. Sorry.

My stay at this motel was very comfortable, clean, and accessible to the location that I wanted to get to such as Bethel Woods center for the arts.The location was quiet and safe. the people at the reception desk were also very helpful regarding directions to shopping malls, restaurants and other locations. I wold recommend this motel to others who are looking for a clean, safe place to stay. MEH

if you are on a budget this is the place to stay. not a good neighborhood. i wished i researched the area before i picked this motel.

Everything was great. Room was clean and nice. Will definitely stay there again.

Hptel was pretty clean but run down. It's old and way past due for a major upgrade/refit. We had no water in our room when we got there however the manager gave us another room with no problem.

It was fast and Easy getting My Room Online!.........

I was looking for a clean comfortable place to stay. I was very surprise as room was new renovated an not 70's at all like one of the reviews stated. Internet was fast all reservations where taken care of just as I requested online.

Very comfortable motel with a very accommodating owner/manager. Place was quiet and convenient to where we were visiting.

The town of Monticello is full of outdated, abandoned buildings and streets that are in disarray. This hotel fits right in. The floor in the room was 2 different levels, the bathroom looked like something out of a cheap 70s movie and the bed was hard as a rock. The staff was friendly and there was free wi-fi. Other than that, I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.

Older partially renovated hotel. Staff was very friendly and outgoing, but physical condition of the hotel is in decline.

Shower water was barely like warm. When this was pointed out to management at checkout, the response was, "You should have told me last night. I would have changed your room." Perhaps from now on, the first thing I'll do when checking in to a hoptel is take a shower.

This is the hotel to stay at in Monticello. The room was clean, updated, and nice. It was on the quiet side of town. Even among Super8's, this one stands out. For a Super8, this was great. This hotel sets the standard.

We were happy with the room, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was your typical old hotel/motel bath. everything worked and was decent. Price was a little high for the area. location is pretty rundown. Breakfast offered was ok.

The hotel is just what we expected. The room was clean and had a king bed include a mico wave and frig. Located right in the middle of Monticello and close to every thing. We wanted to be close to Bethel, NY to visit the Woodstock museum at Bethel Woods. We were only 10 miles away. There is also a Monticello casino which is only 4 miles away. There is still some construction going on in down town Monticello, but this was not a problem. We ate at the Monticello Diner and the food was very good. I would recommend this hotel.

I was looking for an inexpensive location close to the racetrack.... this is certainly the one. So great location, really inexpensive, but the hotel has some problems it needs to fix. It's relatively clean and well kept, but the rooms are fairly delapitated, the door for example had a 1" gap at the bottom...and was warped and sticking...and it wasn't just my room. The sink was cracked and glued back together, the rug was dirty and the (ground cement) floor uneven. The breakfast choices were minimal, muffin, cereal, coffee, juice, donut....but where's the protein???? Staff was nice and friendly, they just really really need to improve the physical plant. I'd stay again, but only, I repeat, only because it was close, costs very little and convienient for my intended purpose.

We were quite surprised when we got there. We were expecting a hotel with minimal amenities. Despite the room being small with 2 double bed, it had the necesities that we needed during our week stay: refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker in the room. They have scheduled daily room cleaning. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The manager was nice and welcoming and even very nice to my 2 small dogs. Would have no problem coming back next year.
