Hotel in the business area with a nearby metro station.Very friendly reception and other staff.Room was very clean and good size.Good breakfast.Swimming pool and fitness centre on the roof of the hotel.A nearby supermarket with almost everything you want.Internet is on the expensive side.The receptionist was helpful in printing our online boarding passes.Overall a very enjoyable stay in this hotel.

The hotel and the location were great. Overall, i would say the this is a nice location.

I booked via hotels.com so i wasnt show what to expect, i can honestly say this hotel for the price was fantastic. It was very clean with modern deco. All rooms have small kitchen area which is very useful when you go with kids. The pool area is really nice clean with pleanty off space. There is also a steam room suna and a gym. This hotel is situated on shaikh zayed rd few min walk to the metro one stop away to the dubai mall. 10 mins to jumerah and 15 mins to city centre. Finally the service from the moment we arrived until we left was five star..

Extremely helpful staff, willing to help/direct/make calls as requested. Great location to get around dubai, easy to hail down a cab or to catch the metro. Room spacious clean and fantastic facilities. Breakfast plentiful with good variety. Expectations were exceeded, Would highly recommend and stay again myself when next visiting Dubai.

It was good but not the best .small hotel friendly environment

My girlfriend and I stayed four nights at Villa Rotana early January 2013. Check in was a breeze even late at night. The boutique hotel is very clean and new. The room was big and clean and we had no complaints with the bed. The rooftop pool, although small was more than adequate for us and plenty of sun loungers to go around. The view from the rooftop is spectacular as well. Breakfast was ok, the spread could have been much bigger although it was good that they changed some of their dishes each day to show variety. One thing to note is that there is no free wifi at all in the hotel, I am not sure if this is the norm for hotels in general in Dubai but we found it odd that there is none even in the lobby. Overall, my girlfriend and I had a very pleasant stay, service was very good and the location was very central and they were able to accommodate my request for a room with a view of the Burj Khalifa.

We were in Dubai on a family vacation, with our 9 yr old son, and booked Villa Rotana going by reviews on Hotels.com and Tripadvisor. We were delighted during our 4N/5D stay at the hotel, from the moment we arrived. We were very early and had requested for an early check-in. We were put to ease by the staff, esp Abdul and were given a high floor, Burj Khalifa facing room (just like we requested)!! Throughout the stay, every small need was promptly attended to, with a warm smile. Whether it was housekeeping at odd hours or Cafe staff during breakfast, there was not one thing which we could point out where service was found wanting. Even while we were leaving, and left our luggage behind for the day, after check out, it was taken good care of and we were attended to in the evening with the same warmth and attention. I would recommend Villa Rotana to everyone, both for leisure trip or for business, due it being well located and well connected.

Very satisfied after resolving initial check-in procedure whereat I was told my deal did not include breakfast. On presenting a copy of my internet booking with Hotel.com and a wait until the following morning for the receptionist to query with his superiors, it was agreed that breakfast was included, and it was a, more than adequate, good breakfast. I had an issue in my room with a noisy extractor fan in the kitchen area which was attended to satisfactorily. Also, later in my week's stay, a noisy diesel generator to power an illuminated advertising hoarding was sited in the vacant plot next door to the hotel which disturbed my sleep. On advising the hotel reception, they moved me to an internal room away from this annoyance, so I cannot fault the hotel's attendance given to satisfy their guests' comfort.

Overall the stay was very comfirtable and absolutely no problem. Personally like the hotel and will eb staying again.

nice and perfect

Only had 2 days but saw as much as we could. Weather was hot (around 35C) and not that easy to walk around in for a european. Really enjoyed our short stay.

Excellent hotel with great service, convenient location close to metro and taxi available 24/7 on short notice. Stayed in the premium suite with Burj Khalifa view. Great for families with children.

Loved this place. The service was spectacular. Location was great for us, as we were there to photograph Dubai's iconic architecture and the Burj Khalifa was close. May be off the beaten path for others looking for social scene. Staff is outstanding and clearly very very well trained in customer service. Anticipated every need and always ready to help with trip arrangements, Two examples - concierge found us a flight over Dubai's islands and coastline, and an outstanding driver to take us roundtrip to Abu Dhabi on zero notice.

Hotel was awesome but when we booked the reservations with Hotels.com via phone we were under the impression breakfast and internet was included. Very disappointed when we found out otherwise. The hotel manager gave us internet for the week which was a very nice gesture.

Enjoyable stay - although requested early booking -still waited after a long overnight trip.Friendly staff and good accomodation.

The hotel was delightful as was all the staff - they couldn't do enough to please. The metro was a short walk away, convenient and easy to use. However, we had only lukewarm water in our room. We reported it, but it did not improve and I didn't bother showering on our last day. Were qwe doing something wrong?

For the price I paid, I cannot dream of a better deal. Rooms were ample, buffet breakfast was fabulous and the staff was extremely efficient and courteous. For the budget traveller, there is no better place in Dubai. I am recommending it to all my friends and acquaintances, intending to visit Dubai on private trips.

The hotels may have friendly staff but when it comes to service then expect a delay in check in and check out and you should also expect to find the location not as conviened as many customer claimed. For instance, if you want to go to dubai mall, then you will never be able to walk to it as you have to take a taxi. Murooj rotana may be a way better choice

Nice hotels

My one night layover in Dubai was spent well in the comforts of this hotel. It's is smaller than the sky high hotels across the highway but this boutique-esque place packs a lot of value for the price. Just a 5 minute taxi away from the Burj Khalifa! Staff was very polite and attentive. There's also this retractable clothes line in the bathroom that I thought was really useful for travelers like myself that like to handwash personal items. I will definitely return.

The staff at the Villa Rotana were exceptional for the entire stay. They were extremely accomodating and always eager to help. They were a great resource for everything including directions, restaurants, the metro and everything in between. Rooms were always clean and the hotel is beautiful...very contemporary. I liked how there was a variety of breakfast options daily, while also providing pancakes, waffles, french toast, or omelettes for those less adventurous. While we never used the pool, sauna, gyme, or steam bath all are available. There is not much to do in the immediate surrounding area, however the metro is less than a 5 minute walk. There is also a grocery store a few buildings down. Would definitely stay here again.

Villa rotana is a great hotel and the staff here are very friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was very good and consisted of hot and cold food which was well presented. the metro is a short walk away and very easy to use. The Dubai mall is a short metro trip to where you can shop,shop and shop, also watch the burj khalIfa fountain show at night.

Overall a nice hotel - clean, modern, good bathroom and comfy bed. Nice breakfast with good selection. Nice pool area, friendly and courteous staff. Only downside is room service food is not the best quality so would recommend you use nearby supermarket and make use of kitchen facilities within your room to make your own dishes. Would stay here again.

We were only there for four days but were very comfortable. The staff was excellent. Location satisfied our needs. View of Burj Khalifa (with billboard in foreground). Good supermarket 200 mtrs. We used taxis but metro nearby that would be useful for more extensive touring. We had been to Dubai before so didn't go to gold souq, spice market, etc. this trip. If we return to Dubai we'll definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, a great location, the only negative I would say is that the rollaway bed we had was not comfortable as mattress was very hard. Overall a very pleasant stay!

Small boutique hotel in excellent location where everything else is big and overpowering ! I have never experienced such excellent service and welcome at any hotel. The staff were just super and very helpful in ensuring we enjoyed our 24 hour visit to Dubai even upgrading our rooms to suites. You need to use taxis to get anywhere in Dubai but, thankfully these are very inexpensive and plentiful. Hotel is not on a beach but good location for business stays. No alcohol served.

Staff needs some people skill training.. especially for young couple guests./

Villa Rotana on hyvätasoinen hotelli lähellä Dubai Mallia ja Burj Al Khalifaa. Metropysäkki on kävelymatkan päässä, joten liikkuminen on helppoa. Tosin Dubain taksit ovat halpoja jos ei halua liikoja kävellä. Henkilökunta on ystävällistä ja aamiainen oli tarjonnaltaan varsin kattava.

Otherwise perfect hotel, but if you happen to book a twin-bed, you will apparently also have a connecting door with the next room. And this might suck big time, as you can hear everything that happens in the next room.

Small rooftop pool was nice. Clean and well heated (+30) water. Allways sun beds available. Spa (sauna, jacuzzi, steam room) with complimentary shampoos, conditioners and lotions also a plus.Note: for adults only, but I visited it with my girl. Fit room roomy & nice too. Pool hours are 8AM - 11 PM, but kids are allowed only until 7 PM. WIFI was was quite expensive. Garage is a plus. Location is ok, but ou need a car every time you'll leave the hotel. Fast food resraurants, Dunking Donot, Basking Robbins and a groceries store on walking distance. Buffet style breakfast with daily variety with warm & cold items. Mini kitchen in the room, but no pots & pans were found in the room, but we received those immediately after informing room service. Extra bed cost was 125 dirhams/night. Bed was 120 cm wide and wide enough to accommodate two small kids. Extra bed was very hard, but existing bedding (mattress + pillows) was very comfortable. Clean and well maintained rather new hotel. Only negative things to mention were expensive wifi + early morning prayers from Mosque nearby.

Trevligt hotell med oerhört hjälpsam, tillmötesgående och vänlig personal. Poolen på taket var en avkopplande upplevelse efter alla utflykter och övriga aktiviteter i Dubai. Frukosten med ett bra utbud och personal som hela tiden fanns tillhands. Kan med andra ord varmt rekommenderas.
