Believe all the reviews on SouthPoint, it is an amazing resort and I give it 5 stars. It's clean, friendly, and extremely well laid out. It's possible to get from your room to any location in the building within 5 minutes or less. Endless array of activities going beyond the typical table games (lower min than downtown). Has a 65 lane new and clean bowling alley, a full blown multiplex movie theater equipped for 3D, a huge bingo parlour, a video game room, an arena for large events, and an equestrian area. Food wise, there is something for everyone and I must mention all are very reasonably prices (all prices are discounted even further with presentment of your hotel club card which costs nothing). 12 food establishments and even a $0.75 hot dog stand by the sports book. What I loved about the hotel was there was something to do for everyone. I loved the fact that the hotel is very nice and upscale but not pretentious. Never had to wait in line at checkin/front desk (checkin at big strip hotels are notorious for 15-45 minute waits just to check-in!). Easy and pleasant stay. Minuses: no high-end nighclub for those who care, food quality was good, no complaints, but if you're looking for fine french dinning it isn't there. Have already started referring friends and I just arrived home today!

I always enjoy the South Point...LOVE IT

Beautiful rooms! Buffet was delicious! Great location off the strip! Close too freeway, outlet mall and other dining options. Would stay here again and again!!

5 out of 5 as all aspects of our stay were great. A suggestion that they just include the mandatory "resort fee" in the up front price. It's irritating when the charge comes later.

My stay was very good. Staff was excellent.

As a former very satisfied customer, I have stayed at South Point several times over the past few years, since my daughter and her family moved to the area. One of the major reasons that I always booked South Point Hotel was that no "resort fees" were ever part of my booking. It was a total surprise to me when the young lady at the registration desk informed me that you now charge those ugly resort fees, especially when my Hotels.com reservation confirmation page stated at the top, in large bold print, "Your reservation is now confirmed and has been paid in full." I guess I never saw the small print at the bottom. Next time, I'll book a Las Vegas Strip hotel. I know that several of them never charge resort fees.

Oversize rooms. Staff very helpful. Excellent buffet. Highly recommended.

We chose this hotel because it was close to where my brother was getting married. We stayed for 2 nights. The curtain would not close completely so there was a strip of sunlight that woke us up each morning. And housekeeping missed our room. No clean towels, beds were not made, trash was not emptied. They simply didn't do it. Disappointing because when we came back to the room later that night after the wedding with friends and relatives, we were surprised to see it had not been touched. The next day when we checked out we told the front desk and they barely squeaked out an apology. It's as if they didn't care. So, I guess we stay elsewhere next time.

Rooms are always in excellent condition...very inviting!!! I love clean rooms. I absolutely hate to go in a room and find hair in the restroom/shower from the previous guest. Ughhh!! South Point prides themselves in cleanliness..love it!!!

The rooms were nice, and so was the pool and overall hotel. The Bell Hops and Valet were a joke! We waited an hour to leave because we were waiting for the Bell Hop to come up with a cart. Then the Valet for a time lost our car, which was fixed right away. Even when we got to the hotel we had to wait 30-40 minutes for the Bell Hop to bring our cart. So we couldn't change to go to the pool or eat our sandwiches because we had to sit and wait. That alone will make it so I never refer this hotel or stay there again!!!!!

Great place to stay especially if you have small children. Has all the amenities and hotel is still new!

pro, just about everything. lobby line is short and check in was fast. elevator was fast, ample parking spaces, nice BIG rooms with nice views. comfortable beds and big pillows. Temperature control that works. Specials throughout the hotel: food, fun, drinks. Has gas station next street down, walmart is two blocks away. CON: a bit far from the strip.. that's it

Comfortable atmosphere.

This was my first time at the South Point and I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was all friendly and helpful, the room was large, clean, and comfortable and the grounds were excellent. I think it was an excellent value and would gladly stay there again.

Beware of hidden "resort fees". Even though all charges are usually included through hotels.com, I was slapped with a resort fee upon check out. Also my room didn't have any shampoo or soap.. No big deal, just a hassle. Otherwise they have a good gym that's open 24 hours.

South Point has the most uncomfortable bed I have ever laid in. The sheets were hard and uncomfortable. Although the room was clean the color scheme made the room look dull and un appealing. I will not be staying at South Point again.

We needed a hotel near the airport and this was a great location and a great price.

I HAD A GREAT STAY ,HOTEL WAS TOTALLY EFFICIENT YOU REALLY DID NOT HAVE TO LEAVE IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE STRIP ,HOTEL HAS EVERYTHING IN IT

It was a nice place but we didn't get to take advantage of everything because we are in the Army and got recalled so we only got to spend a few hours there before we went back to base.

this is the best place to stay in vegas

The non smoking room was clean and roomy. However, there is a problem with the heater at night when it goes over 77 degrees. It was making so much noises that I couldn't sleep. Have to turn off the heater just so I can sleep, but in the cold. In order to avoid the smoke in the Casino, the parking structure is a better place to park. You still have to walk through the Casino just to get to the hotel elevator in the middle of the casion. But, at least it's a much shorter distance.

This place is clean, updated. The room was spacious and the bathroom was especially nice! Plenty of parking, not too far a walk to our room but they do charge a resort fee for wifi and other things. It's way off the strip which was what we wanted while traveling with kids. It's still a casino, though. We had to walk through the casino part to get to the elevators to our rooms. It was smokey and there was lots od gambling and drinking. Not a huge deal, just wanted to let people know....

I had a wonderful stay at south point.

South Point is very convenient as it is located close to where my family lives. Staff there are very friendly. Only negatives would be casino is rather smokey and the TP in the rooms is is so cheap, you might want to think about upgrading to 3-ply!!!

the price was good, the staff was gr8, the rooms were clean, convenient location to the strip, valet parking....all u need in one place. yes they do charge $14 per person per night as a resort fee and they hold $100 from ur credit card till u chk out.....this is the only place i'll be staying on my visit to Las Vegas
