Good, except the sauna was not working.

The was a great hotel very close to Alexandra Theatre. Had a noisy fan that was sorted immediately. Very friendly, great hotel. Excellent.

1st room we were given was pokey with a tiny window and spectacular view of a grey concrete wall felt clostrophobic asked for room change happy to oblige new room was excellent and staff were lovely

Hotel is in a good location. Check in staff very pleasant and quick. Room was nice but decor a little tired but had everything you need. Great views, would have prefered to stay on a higher floor but nothing available. The view from the gym was great, bit dissapointed sauna was out of order as this was one of the attractions to the hotel. Bit of a mix up with breakfast as my confirmation stated it was included in the price but hotel had no record, this was finally resolved with several phone calls and trips up and down to reception and was worth it as the breakfast room was really pleasant and the food was good with a great selection. Will certainly use the hotel again.

Stayed here before so know it was a pretty nice hotel. Checked in and went to room only to find the carpet in the room with a load of dirty stains and looked in desperate need of changing. Did not feel comfortable walking around bare feet, or even in my socks for that matter. Won't be staying there again

Excellent location for local theatres. Top rate breakfast!

the hotel met all the standards we expected. in a perfect location where everything is easy to access. we had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed the comfort of the room. definately worth the price!

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is heading towards its 10th anniversary and the decor of the room we stayed in was beginning to look dated. The location is good for the theatre, bull ring and hurst street/china town. We weren't told about the car parking situation and later found out we were entitled to a discount on the local NCP. The room was made up for 2 singles but we had ordered a double. Rather than change our room, we had to wait awhile whilst the singles were clipped together and redressed as a double!

The hotel was really nice but unfortunately the jaccuzzi was out of order and as I was there to relax I was looking forward to it but didn't find out until I got there! The mains in the bed room were all unplugged under furniture that was difficult to spot and there was no hair dryer so i had to call for one whilst trying to get ready - these are things I would have expected the chamber maids to have checked and put right before I arrived. Shame really. Biggest blow was at breakfast when I found a hair in my Omlette - that was breakfast over with! The hotel is conveniently located, it is a nice hotel and has large comfortable rooms but the personal touch has been missed somewhat which is a shame, but saying that, I like things to be perfect especially when I am on a break and paying to stay somewhere.

only bad thing was bar area lack of choice of beers

I booked this as a wedding gift for one of my daughters for her wedding night an was disappointed that I requested a full all in champagne flowers and chocolates none of which was supplied and had to pay £55 for champagne an never had flowers or chocolates as requested when I phones the hotel they said all of the things requested would be there but they wasn't

I booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my partner. We very much enjoyed our stay. All the staff was so helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great. The quality of the room and bedding is very good that we went out the very next day and bought the same bedding goose down. We would love to come back again in the very near future. Thank you

Served its purpose. Nice hotel for a nights stay in Birmingham. Went to HMV Institute to see a gig and then went shopping the following day.

Not the best hotel i have ever stayed in but certainly not the worst.Staff very friendly. This hotel is very well located for all of Birmingham.

there was a strong smell of sewage in the bathroom when you ran water in the sink , the view from our room was a brick wall and the beds were way too soft-not what is expected from a hotel chain such as the Radisson- avoid room 820

A sleek well run hotel, warm and professional welcome. Typical of the Radisson, it is quite minimalist, but functional and a smooth feel throughout. The rooms are stylish, very soft comfortable beds, colourful funky rooms. A good well maintained basic gym and spa is on the top floor. The bar has a good menu, and some special deals. However, those with a Tastecard, will find that the Raddisson is included, which gives %50 off your bill, an excellent deal for a hotel. We noted that Emirates crews stayed here, and this Airline always choose exceptional hotels with high standards. In a central location, it is one of the most modern hotels in Bham, many looking tired and old fashioned.

Lights did not work in bathroom. Overall just very mediocre hotel and would not go back

I visited this hotel to celebrate my friends birthday.Breakfast was appalling on a Sunday it is served until 12 myself my friend and then my brother who also stayed with his partner turned up at breakfast at 11. so there was plenty of time still left for breakfast. At first there were no plates, we had to wait 5 mins for plates to be stocked up,then we queued for hot breakfast and there was literally nothing left, a few beans and couple of tomatoes, so we waited and waited and waited, the queue was getting bigger and bigger, but with that said a lot of people could no longer be bothered to queue. We waited for 10 minutes and nothing, so I went over to the restaurant manager and asked what was taking them so long. She replied they ar stocking up and I said we have been waiting for 10 minutes now. So she went to find out what was going on. After this the so called chef popped out and replenished just the beans,and I asked how much longer everything else would be, she said not long, I explained we have been waiting for over 10 minutes, and she said that she was told everybody has been down for breakfast, I said we'll surely you have a list of who has and hasn't had breakfast, and she said yes and this is why they were told breakfast had finished. We waited a further 10 or so minutes for everything to be replenished. It was ridiculous, I have stayed at many hotels and I have never known anything like this. It was appalling and so disorganised.

We came with a bunch of friends for an overnight stay & theatre visit. Staff very friendly & courteous, rooms spacious, clean and warm. Breakfast was lovely ... a real treat. Thank you

The Radisson is a spectacular looking building on the Birmingham skyline with an entrance lobby to match. The double room we had was comfortable enough with the expected facilities but I thought this hotel lacked the little extra service you would expect for the price. For example, no complimentary bottled water, everything in the mini-bar (that wasn't working and warm!) was chargeable at extortionate rates. Something not right about the air conditioning too as we both woke up feeling desiccated! Breakfast was a buffet to suit all requirements although the scrambled eggs we had seemed more resemblant of rice pudding!

The hotel is ideal for New Street Station, right in the centre of Birmingham. The staff were fantastic throughout my stay from check-in to check out. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant was closed so I ate in the bar but the food was great, and well priced. The room was a good size, with funky 70's decor, comfortable bed and a decent sized desk with lots of plugs, ideal for catching up on some work. The breakfast was good, with a wide selection. The service was a bit erratic, but still better than some hotels I have stayed in.

we have stopped at this hotel several times, it has always been clean, the staff friendly and the room as always, soooo comfortable. Good location we stay here when we go to the theatre so the position is good.

The staff were very helpful and attentive.

Lovely welcoming hotel. Close to shops, bars, station etc. Helpful staff. Didn't eat there, but food being served to others looked delicious. Room spacious with the biggest most comfortable bed we'ver ever slept in!! Oh and a loaded mini bar!! Recommend!

Stayed at this hotel on a friday night arrived at the hotel around 8pm was very slow checking had to wait over 20 mins. Once checked in room was very cold and trying to get the air con to work was a mission but it blew out look warm air after a while. Booked a King size room but got a room with two single beds joined together very uncomfortable Noise house keeping in the morning checking out took over 30mins just people at reception very slow Over all poor standard for a 4 star hotel stayed in 3 star hotels which have been far better

sTAFF VERY HELPFUL IF A LITTLE HARD TO UNDERSTAND.HAD BOOKED BUSINESS CLASS SMOKING ROOM, WHICH WE DIDNT GET BUT THANKFULLY RECEPTION SORTED THAT OUT FOR US AFTER WAITING 3 HRS TO BE MOVED.

The hotel rooms need a refurb (especially the carpet!). The room service was great but the reception staff were rude whilst checking out.

Last thing anyone wants to do when checking into a hotel is complain so the fact i was left with multiple things to moan about is criminal. 1st complaint, i was told by the staff check in was at 15.00 yet still at 15.45 they didn't have a room ready for me - bad start but forgivable (I checked in at 16.30). 2nd complaint -I purchased a business class room and was issued a queen-sized bed consisting of two single beds zipped together (worse than what i understand was being issued in the economy rooms) after requesting to be moved i was ushered off to a similar room before being handed the key card to room i deemed to have a suitable mattress. 3rd Complaint, the rooms mini bar is one which is maintained when sensors are triggered, As you can imagine nobody tends to use the overpriced minibar but as i wanted to chill down a bottle of champagne i moved the items only to discover the mother of all dry mold build up in the back of the fridge, disgusting. I imagine this was once a decent hotel but i could not recommend this venue with a straight face to anyone.

When booking the 2 rooms I asked for twin rooms. On opening the door to the rooms we had a double bed. Staff changed our room straight away, how ever the room we went to was not as nice or as large as the double room. I was disappointed as we were only staying one night. The shower had a leaking hose, which I reported as I checked out, we were offered breakfast because of this but unfortunately breakfast had stopped serving. I am due to stay in Birmingham again not sure if I will stay at this hotel.

For a relatively expensive, four star hotel - this was frankly disappointing from a number of aspects. + We booked a room with a King Bed - what we got was two single beds which had been attached together with single bed linen - not what I would call a double room! +After 6.00am sleep became difficult - the water pipes set up a noise not disimillar to an alarm. +The furnishings in the room were faded and somewhat worn. +At check-out it became apparent that all was not well with the hotel - as the desk was taken up with other guest expressing their complaints - not what one expects. +Restaurant service was Very Good at breakfast time though!

I unfortunately stayed one night, & wish I would have been able to stay longer. I'd strongly recommend the Radisson blu, From Reception to breakfast it all went very smoothly. My room had a problem with the bath plug as not working, but I used a coin to release the bath plug to empty the tub. As reception was busy on my departure I didn't want to spend long at the desk. I have stayed at the radisson in Cardiff and now in Birmingham, I 'm looking forward to a 3rd stay at the Radisson somewhere. The location was excellent for nearby shopping.

Staff were very welcoming and polite. Hotel is in a great location, close to the Bullring and The Mailbox. Room was a good size and very clean. The only slight downside was that the interior in the room was starting to look a little worn.

V. very disappointed. Took my mother for a 'nice' break as a treat for her birthday. was v disappointed with the room - had upgraded to an executive room at not cheap rates- expected better. Stains on throws on bed, duvet ripped at top exposing filling, dreadful noise coming from air con unit at night when windy on 2nd night didn't sleep a wink. When mentioned to reception, offered us 20% discount off meal we had had in hotel restaurant on first night. Breakfast nice if wanting continental style but don't go for hot breakfast as cold and overcooked. Looks v nice on hotel photos but looks are decieving!!

Too many people of a dubious nature staying over the weekend who disturb other guests with late night noise and boorish behaviour.

The Radisson is in a great location to access Birmingham shops, restaurants and other areas. The only difficulty we had on a 2 night stay was getting the hotel to clean the room, even when we asked it was a very halfhearted&poor effort which was a shame.
