Beautiful sea view room. Staff all very polite & helpful especially Stefan in the bar. The hotel is a good 15 minute drive away from Alghero, there is a bus but we found a car essential to do what we wanted to do. Our only compliant is that our 'double bed' was two single beds pushed together - not particularly comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel El Faro for five days on our vacation. the place is amazing and beautiful. The restaurant is first rate. If it was closer, I would go back every year.

i was traveling with my 6 year old and was looking for some quiet time and relaxation. it was perfect. the private ocean access is a dream, food in the hotel was perfect, service was ideal. everyone was friendly and very helpful. only smily and happy people that offer help at any time. if you want to go out, there is a great restaurant, pizzaria and night club (embacadero I thing it was called) about 5-10 minutes walking distance. was a lot of fun there too and very good food. only recommondation: i would book a rental car. there are so many amazing sand beaches and even a 4 miles long cave to explore in 10 - 30 min distance by car. the hotel offeres rides to some places but it's still best to have a car.

Terrific hotel, stunning location. Must have a car, though, to get around. Would highly recommend this destination.

With cheap Ryanair flights to Alghero why haven't the Brit's discovered Sardinia in May? El Faro is a great place to chill out for a week!

Beautiful location, very nice staff, good private beach, versus very tired rooms with poor Air conditioning, loose toilet seats, windows that do not close correctly> Overall the quiet, serene location outweighs the worn conditions of the rooms...at least once.

The El Faro at Porto Conte has a wonderfut south facing location and invariably good weather when we've been during May! Yet only a few rooms were occupied - the Brits have as yet not discovered the area with it's excellent early season deals! A very nice hotel only a few miles from the very nice (Catalan) Alghero!

The hotel location is its best sell, it is very conveniently located in the Nymph's Bay, which is beautiful, the design of the hotel could easily be a 5 star hotel and some parts of it has that feel; however, it is marketed and still is a 4 star, as hotel furniture and other details give you the impression that it could be better. The reception desk was extremely helpful during our stay, they organised that our rented car was delivered to the hotel (extra charge obviously, but reasonable), suggested sightings and kept track of our stay/enjoyment, which made the hotel outstand of the typical service that you sometimes receive in certain hotel chains. They upgraded our room due to low season and our long stay. Having said all this, there is room for improvement especially in the breakfast, as it is a continental breakfast. Due to the location, there is no alternative in the morning and even if you have to pay a supplemental amount, they should cater for having a chef delivering some food in the morning. They certainly need to include more variety, as our stay was coming to an end I was less interested in even having it.

Stunning location. Wonderful sunbathing/swimming area with super views. Very frendly and helpful staff. Comfotable quiet rooms with great views. Lovely location for a relaxing break. Car park needs cleaning

Torno ogni anno ad ottobre per festeggiare il mio compleanno in questo meraviglioso albergo incastonato come una pietra preziosa fra le colline verdi profumate di mirto e il mare blu costantemente calmo e dopo un paio di giorni tutti i miei sensi si rigenerano e mi sento pronto per un nuovo anno.

Trivdes mycket bra på El Faro. Vi hade hyrbil under hela veckan och tyckte det var bra eftersom man kunde åka runt lite och också äta på andra ställen. Upptäckte mer av en händelse den fina stranden med bra lunchrestaurang inne i viken till vänter om marinan.

Hotellet var i og for seg helt greit, men vi synes at det lå litt for øde og ensomt til. Kunne godt ha vært et alternativ til restauranten om kvelden da det bare ble servert 3 retters lunsj og middag her. En butikk med det mest nødvendige (tannkrem, dusjsåpe, brus og vann) burde også vært tilgjengelig. Sengene var vonde og ligge i (men det var de faktisk på alle de 5 hotellene vi var på). Synes også at hotellet gikk tom for noe hver eneste dag. Enten manglet de øl, brus, lunsjretter (utendørs) eller bussbilletter når vi skulle ta turen inn til byen.

Underbart vackert hotell med en helt otrolig utsikt. Bartendern Stefano och receptionisten Mauro- ni är toppen!

What a wonderful little place. We stayed here 3 nights during our honeymoon and loved every moment. The staff are really accommodating, the place has it's own coastline, and the outdoor area is gorgeous. The reception rented snorkelig gear for us when we asked them, and they were always ready to make you a beverage at any time. The hotel have their own sun beds down by the sea,with small bamboo huts you can retreat to if you've had too much sun. I have to say that the food was disappointing. They charged 36 Euro, have had a visit from the michelin guide, but the food was pretty average. The hotel is located a little outside of Alghero, So i would recommend a car here. Also we would have liked to have had WiFi in our rooms. Still, this is a wonderful getaway!

Idyllisk plassering, og en fantastisk utsikt. Litt langt til Alghero, men perfekt om en ønsker avslappende idylliske dager på Sardinia

Dieses Hotel ist als einziges Hotel direkt auf einer Buchtzunge gebaut. Das Essen (Frühstück) ist sehr gut. Abendessen zu teuer, jedoch kann man in Alghero sehr gut und preiswert essen. Die Anlage ist schön und sauber. Bessere Verdunklung in den Zimmern wäre wünschenswert, da nur kurze Verdunklungsvorhänge gibt. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Internet ist kostenfrei, was für Geschäftsleute und moderne Menschen immer freut :-) Der Strand ist durch verschiedene Höhen der Liegeplätze toll aufgebaut, jeder hat seine ganz private Liegeinsel. Der Strand hat zwar keinen Sand, ist aber für Schwimmer und Taucher (viele Fische) schön gelegen. Wir haben diesen Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt wieder!

El personal no es nada agradable. el trato frío e impersonal. En el tiempo que realizamos el check-out, se produjeron tres reclamaciones y ellos daban largas a todos. El lugar es bonito pero no compensa el precio de coste de la habitación.

Buen diseño del hotel, donde todas las instalaciones (habitaciones, piscinas, comedor, salones y terrazas) miran al mar. habitaciones y baño espaciosas, pero sin wi-fi. Buen servicio de restaurante Perdona de recepcion poco atento

Ett vackert hotell för den som vill koppla av i en vacker lugn miljö. Rummen är fint dekorerade men sängarna var dock väldigt hårda och om ni väljer ett standardrum är dubbelsängarna smala.

El Faro Hotel ligt in een prachtige groene omgeving . Het hotel ligt op een schiereiland en heeft rondom een wijds uitzicht op de zee. Wij waren er in de tweede week van juni en het was er heerlijk rustig en relaxt. Zowel bij het zwembad als aan de zee kon je heerlijk genieten van niet anders dan het kabbelen van het water. Het ontbijt en het diner in het restaurant zijn erg goed en worden snel aangevuld mocht er iets op zijn. Ook vonden we de mensen die er werkten erg servicegericht. We hebben het heel erg naar onze zin gehad en vinden het hotel een aanrader. Omdat het hotel rustig ligt is het handig een auto te huren alhoewel er ook een goede busverbinding is met de omgeving waaronder het mooie stadje Alghero.

Super beliggenhed, med skøn udsigt... Eneste minus, der er et stykke vej til byen... Lej en bil, eller tag bussen... Hotellet ligger noget øde...

This is the second time, we been here, and it was't diaspointing us again, even though the wheather was bad. But we missed the good lunch at the restaurant, with several of italian courses, at the buffet. If you want a holiday in nice accomadations and quite surrondings, this is the place!

El Faro ist ein schönes, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, v.a. von Italienern frequentiert und sehr ruhig in einer wunderbaren Bucht gelegen. Auf einen Sandstrand muss man leider verzichten, dafür sind in den Steinstrand kleines Plateaus für Liegen eingebaut, die auch hier Ruhe ermöglichen. Die Zimmer sind nicht sonderlich groß und nicht auf dem neuesten Stand aber ganz in Ordnung. Sehr gut ist die Küche, die Abendmenüs samt dazugehörigem Service waren ein Genuss. Empfehlenswert ist sich direkt am Flughafen ein Auto zu mieten, sonst ist man im Hotel recht abgeschieden. Ein schöner Platz, den wir - ohne Kinder - empfehlen können.
