Steigenberger Alpenhotel and Spa - זאנן

this is an interesting one, as there are some pros and cons for the steigenberger. I booked a 4 night stay and called to arrange an extra night for a day earlier, which I was assured that it was all arranged on the phone. On arrival, reception was not aware, but was helpful and organised a room. Oppoesed to our booking confirmation, we only had a blocked view of the mountain, so we had to arrange a change of the room the day after. The hotel is dated in certain areas, i.e. rooms, breakfast restaurant, doorways etc, the sauna, pool areas however are very modern and great. During our stay, most of the team were very helpful, but sometimes surprisingly unaware of what service would be expected. Instead of organising a missing room service menue for our room, I was sent around the hotel to organise a restaurant menu myself. Go figure..., I thought and trodded off. Other unexpected hiccups were that the room service left our room door open, essentials weren't refilled etc. All normal standards you'd expect from a brand like the Steigenberger.

We stayed at the Steigenberger in Saanen over New Years 2011/12. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect, 7 minutes drive to the center of Gstaad, and 10 minutes to the best ski areas. The New Years dinner was very good, and the entertainment during dinner was fun.

Excelente, acima das expectativas.

Maravilhosa. O hotel é excelente, com serviços impecaveis em uma vila muito charmosa. Recomendo a quem por acaso esteja em duvidas.

L'entrée matière a été négative car nous avons attendu plus de 45 minutes pour avoir accès à la chambre. Par contre nous avons pu patienter au bar avec l'apéritif d'accueil et une petite attention pour le retard. Le personnel très accueillant mais dommage que pas grand monde ne parlais le français. Ce qui nous a valu des problèmes de compréhension et de réservation mal programmée. Le restaurant du rez n'est pas à recommander (attente, mauvaise cuisson et qualité des produits, bof) Sinon l'endroit est magnifique, tranquille, SPA piscine extra et petites attentions aux chalet. Bon séjour malgré ces quelques petits soucis

Chambres très bruyantes si elle est sous le restaurant ( protections auditives nécessaires pour dormir ), décoration un peu vieillotte et lit de qualité moyenne. En revanche, piscine assez grande et petit SPA bien entretenu.

Prima hotel - heel vriendelijke staf. Goede faciliteiten, waaronder prachtig zwembad en spa (met name ook voor kinderen). In het hotel is een skiverhuur. Helaas geen ski-in / ski-out, maar ca. 5 minuten met de auto naar Schoenried (liften, skischool etc). Leuke pistes in mooie omgeving.

Un hôtel très accueillant dans un cadre splendide. Le service est parfait, les chambres spacieuses et confortable dans un style traditionnel des montagnes suisses. La vue depuis le balcon était à couper le souffle. Et une mention spéciale au petit déjeuner qui était absolument exceptionnel. Nous vous les recommandons chaudement !
