Excellent services from the owner.

We enjoyed our stay at the Boathouse, because we were well looked after and the accommodation was just what we needed. The room had a fridge, for keeping the tonic cold, a bathroom with a shower that had a reasonable amount of water pressure (something that seems unusual in Santorini), plenty of wardrobe space and an adequate balcony for relaxing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfasts were great, with plenty of fruit, yoghurt, fresh meat and cheese, not to mention bread. Served outside on the patio, watching the sun rise over the sea was a great start to the day. It was a great location, far enough out of the centre to be quiet at night, but easy to walk to bars and restaurants. The beach was a twenty step walk from the outside of the hotel. The only tiny downside were the aeroplanes flying overhead, which we knew about before we booked, and soon learnt to treat as white noise. We hired a car, and although it was not possible to park the car outside the hotel, there was a public car park within east distance. The hosts were extremely helpful, and arranged to take us to the port at the end of our stay.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the location was great, right across the boardwalk from the beach. Upon entering our room, the stench from the bathroom made us have to request another room. The new room was also ocean view, less the smell - initially. The beds were old and stiff, and the room was tight. AC threw off a bad smell. No wifi in room, so we had to spend much time looking at destinations and emailing down by their main office. I had to work while on vacation, so spent much time down there. A couple days on, apparently the wind shifted, as a crazy horrible smell came from our bathroom again, from the sewer pipes. the owner said that was normal, and nothing we could do about it. so we had to bare the next 2 days in an awful smelling room. Breakfast was typical, but i was very jealous of the next hotel over with a much nicer spread. The bathroom was kind of gross, as the whole thing got soaked when taking a shower, which made it feel even worse. Another horrible point is we were there for 4 days, and they never changed our sheets! The only soap in the room for shampoo, body, or anything, was a little pump soap on the sink. Overall, this is an inexpensive place for the budget traveler, but don't expect anything too nice and high quality here, beyond how nice the workers were. The owner was a super nice guy.

Best vacation ever!!! On the best part of Kamari Beach, restaurants everywhere...location, location, location!!!! Couldn't have chosen a better pleace! The staff was the owner and his wife and his daughters best friend Kaley(think spelledi it right_)...owner picked us up from airport and we were greeted very nicely Kaley. I was carrying my 20 month old so she helped my husband with the luggage! Amazing staff, breakfast was delicious and they treated my daughter like a princess, called her by her name...they'd give her fruits and pieces of cake throughout the day and made her little toys...she loved it...very helpful when deciding where to go in Santorini...feels like you're right at home...No TV which is great because there's so much to do on the Island!! At night we hung out by the bar with the owners and other guests and kids in the hotel...everyone was sooo nice on the island but you have to stay here because service was exceptional...this trip was beyond our expectations!!! Boathouse we will miss you but we will be back...thanks for a lifetime memory!!!

We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Awesome rooms, cozy pool and great location. The staff was friendly and helped us getting to the port at the end of our stay. Great value.

This was our first stay at the Boathouse and we were thrilled with the beach location. The small town was comfortable for walking about at anytime day or night. Our room was very clean and breakfast was solidly good, the pool clean and enjoyable. The staff spoke English and were helpful with information for tasty eateries, money exchange locations, etc. I will stay again!

Great place!!! Clean, hospitable, safe and great pool!! Great week in Santorini. Caution-watch the roads, and not much street signs on the island.

we had a great holiday, hotel and staff were fantastic.

Although the fine sand is mostly on the complete opposite end of the strip, it's nice to stay on this quieter end of the beach road, almost like having private shorefront. Small but nice pool. Buffet breakfast is pretty good. Rooms rather out-dated and dimly-lit, but are great for family vacations, with several beds to a room and large closets. Owners of the hotel will help you with any part of your stay, lending (even gifting to) you their personal books of Santorini history, chatting with you over drinks, etc. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful location and very nice and helpful staff.

Great location right on the beach front and along a promenade of the beach itself. We went in early October and everything was already closed down in Kamari so that was the only thing that made the experience a bit lackluster. The hotel itself was clean and adorable. The view was great and the continental breakfast, while it wasn't what I'd seen at other places, it was still satisfactory. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others. Note that Oia is 20 minute drive away and that Kamari beach does not look like the "classic" Santorini photos.

I had the most amazing stay at the Boathouse! We were a large group travelling for a wedding and all of us had a excellent time. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The food was amazing as well. I don't have a single complaint about the Boathouse. There are guests who we met who go to this hotel every year and I can understand why. I have also decided to make The Boathouse Hotel an annual trip as well. That's how much I love this place. Can't wait!!!

We stayed for 8 nights at the boathouse, the hotel has a real charm about it. The staff are very friendly and it is very laid back, just what you needy to rest and relax. Its about about a 15 minute drive to Fira and Oia, but believe me it is worth the drive as it was always good to get back to the Kamira beach and the Boat house. The only negatives was no shampoo was supplied, just a pump action soap container, not flash and the bathroom area is certainly not 3 stars. But taken that out of the equation this is just a great place to be...and we are still talking about the stay in the boathouse when we returned from being 6 weeks away in Greece....go to the Dolphin cafe and see Billy Brown play live...we are in our mid 50's...dancing etc lots of fun and good food and wine!

Amazing hotel, great location, great facility, great staff, great everything! Dont even consider anything else! We were staying in the suites so we had an amazing pool that was alot more private than all the other hotels on the street. Definitly take one of the tours to the volcano, hot springs, thirassa, and oia sunset it is worth every penny (we took an afternoon trip and it was awesome).We came by ferry from athens and that was our worst decision, we are a family of four so it turned out very expensive even going with the slow ferry in the cheapest area! I recommend to take a flight straight from the city you are, much easier, faster, and if you are luckey cheaper! The only thing is the hotel is near the airport so some airplanes come and go making some noise but it doesnt really bother you, and there is no flights at night (that we could hear). Great stay wouldnt even think of going anywere else if we came back to Santorini, worth every penny!

I would definitely recommend staying at The Boathouse. The staff and the room were both amazing. The owner, Maria, was very friendly and walked around introducing herself to everyone. The area of Kamari Beach was the best place to stay on the entire island. I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic value for the money. Extremely clean, fabulous pool, 1/2 block from the beach. Large room, with a small kitchenette. Extremely friendly people.

We were pleased with the Boathouse Hotel. The location was good right across from the beach and away from the busiest part of the waterfront. Walkable to restaurants and bus stop and internet cafe. No TV's in rooms and no computer to use. WiFi if you have your own laptop. Very helpful manager. Nice pool and and bar and good restaurant (not attached.) Good free, included breakfast at hotel.

Det mesta var toppen. Läget, lägenheten och städningen var jättebra. Det enda som inte fungerade alls var att de skulle hämta oss på flygplatsen, men trots flera mail och telefonsamtal så var de ändå inte där. Men efter ytterligare 2 telefonsamtal till dem när vi landat, så kom de.

Dette var et flott hotell med god frokost-buffet, hjelpsom og service-innstilt personale. Kort beliggenhet til supermarked, restauranter og stranden. Ja, man får med seg innflygingen til flyplassen men det ble man vant til. Herlig med alt man trenger innen rekkevidde og ikke langt til buss hvis man vil dra til andre steder på øyen. Anbefales hvis man vil bo nær Kamari-stranden.

Situated just next to Kamari beach and many restaurants and bars. Very close to the bus stop to visit every place in Santorini. Thanks to the advices of the owner, we could enjoy the most beautiful sunset we had ever seen (being alone althoug it was middle August) and the nicest places and restaurants in Santorini. Lovely swimmingpool, breakfast much better tah expected, room very clean and big. The toilet was the only thing I think they should improve because it was quite old.

Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse på detta hotell! Rummet var enkelt men mycket bekvämt, sköna sängar och en luftkonditionering som fungerade tyst och effektivt. Hotellet som helhet är mycket väl underhållet, det var rent och snyggt överallt och man fick känslan av att ägaren var mån om att gästerna skulle få en fantastisk semester. Personalen var vänlig och hjälpsam utan att vara påträngande. Det finns helt enkelt inget att klaga på!

Excellent service, and a room that lived up to the expectations. Friendly staff and a nice, clean pool. There's a good restaurant for traditional greek food next door. Walk 20 meters and you're on the beach.

Etter å ha lest så mye positivt skjønner jeg ingen ting! Punkt 1: du kan like godt ta med lakenet ut på rullebanen å sove. Punkt 2: de ansatte var sure og aldri til stedet, kom å skulle sjekke inn og ingen der. Punkt 3: aircondotion funket ikke! Punkt 4|: rommene var veldig gammeldagse og slitene. Veldig lytt. STYR UNNA!!

Veldig hyggelig hotell, med serviceminded betjening. Rommene som vender ut mot stranden var perfekte med små balkonger utenfor. Hyggelig område rundt svømmebassenget og kort vei til stranden og restaurantene.

Mielyttävä, rauhallinen pikku hotelli. Runsas aamiainen ja sitä sai syödä katsellen merta. Raikas ja kirkasvetinen uima-allas ja mukavat tuolit. Sänky narisi ja oli hieman kova, mutta sitä valittivat toisissakin hotelleissa olleet. Ystävällinen henkikökunta. Hyviä ruokapaikkoja lähellä. Voin suositella lämpimästi.

Vi var et par i 20-30 årene som var på kjærlighetsferie i Santorini. Utrolig fin øy! Vi likte å bo ved havet, men kan nok være enig i at det er veldig vakkert å bo på et hotell i Fira eller utenfor, der man ser solnedgangen. Men det blir langt fra havet, så derfor anbefales det å leie moped/ATV/bil slik at man kan komme seg litt rundt dersom man velger dette. Boathouse var stille og fredelig andre uken i september, nesten litt for stille i Kamari, men får ladet batteriene skikkerlig. Rent og fint basseng, rommet vi fikk var ikke som på bildene, men funket helt greitt. En sover jo stort sett bare her. Ikke tv, som er litt minus, men trådløst nett som funket greit. Helt grei frokost, og rent og i orden ellers. Folkene som hadde det var veldig imøtekommende, som stort sett alle grekere er, og var behjelpelige med det meste! Det beste ved hotellet tror jeg må være verandaen. Den var stor og fin, med flott utsikt over bassenget og havet. Om det sies at man bør få med seg solnedgang i Fira/Oia, må man også få med seg solOPPGANGEN vi hadde på østsiden som Kamari ligger på!! Alt i alt en fin ferie, mye pga beliggheten til hotellet, rett i utkanten av sentrum på stranden og like ved flyplassen. (noe støy fra flyene, men det blir man vant til!)

Hotellet har en fantastisk flott beliggenhet ved stranden i Kamari. Vi hadde havutsikt og soloppgang fra terrassen. Veldig hyggelig personale, rolig atmosfære og en kjempe god frokost.

Utroligt velbeliggende og veldrevet lille hotel. En meget afslappet og behagelig atmosfære og en høj grad af hjælpsomhed fra såvel personale som ejer.Mulighederne for at bruge Kamari som afsæt for ture på øen er gode, billejen absolut rimelig og maden på de nærliggende og tilknyttede restauranter glimrende. Vi kommer der igen, når Akhituri-udgravningen åbner.

Som angivet oven for kun tilfredshed fra vore side med Boathouse. Rigtig hyggeligt og veldrevet sted.

Erittäin mukava ja viihtyisä hotelli ranna ja ravintoloiden läheisyydessä. Voi suositella lämpimästi kaikille. Jos jotain "negatiivista" täytyy sanoa niin lentokoneiden melu tuli aika ajoin voimakkaana. Meitä se ei kuitenkaan haitannut..

Stayed here five nights. We had tried to research the hotels on the beach well, and booked the Boathouse partly because of the location, and to a great extent because of the looks of the rooms on Tripadvisor as well as other sites. Unfortunately, when we got there we got shown to a room in the Annex - which wasn't at all up to par with the photos we'd seen. It was kind of coldish (white, clean walls), very sparsely furnitured (with a bed, closet and kitchen area in three different wood types). The A/C was seriously noisy, the fan in the bathroom sounded like it was going to give up in a few days of exhaustion, there was no shower curtains, and to get Internet we had to go to the main building - it was not at all what we had expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, and the breakfast was very good. If we're coming back to Kamari again, we might stay at the Boathouse - but will make sure we get a room in the main building.

Mukavia henkilöitä töissä. Hyvä aamiainen, joka ihana syödä altaalla. Aivan rannalla, vain kävelytie välissä. Loistava sijainti siis rantailua ajatellen. Lentokoneet menee yllä ja aika matalalla, mutta eivät juurikaan haitanneet..meteliähän niistä lähtee tottakai. Mutta siis lentokentälle 10min autolla ja satamaan 15min autolla. Bussipysäkille 5 kävely, josta kaikki bussit keskustaan yms. Kaikinpuolin viihtyisä paikka Kamarissa!

Vi bodde i annexet, ett stenkast från strandpromenaden och huvudhotellbyggnaden. Rymliga rum med balkong /taras. Pool och gratis wifi finns både vid annexet och vid huvudbyggnaden. Rent och fräscht. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Helt klart ett boende att rekommendera!

Voimme lämpimästi suositella Boat Housea! Hotelli oli todella hyvällä sijainnilla: lähellä rantaa ja palveluita. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja auttavaista. Olimme tyytyväisiä merinäköalahuoneeseemme. Terassi oli iso ja huolimatta ensimmäisestä kerroksesta oli merelle melko esteetön näköala. Boat House sijaitsee rantakadun pohjoispäässä jossa meno oli rauhallisempaa ehkä kuin etelämmässä samalla kadulla. Hotelli oli kaikinpuolin kodikas, mukava ja kaunis. Aamupala oli runsas ja monipuolinen, yllätyimme iloisesti. Pool oli tarpeeksi syvä ja iso, tosin yleensä täynnä lapsia :) Kissanystäville paikka oli itse autuus: Hotellilla asusteli kaksi harmaata ihmisrakasta kissaa, toinen vanhempi ja toinen ihan pentu ;-) Pienenä miinuksena se, että huoneesta puuttui roskakori. Lisäksi Boat Housen yhteistyöravintola Almira ei ollut kovinkaan kummoinen. Lisäksi koko Kamaria ehkä koskettava miinus oli lentomelu kun koneet laskeutuivat juuri rantatien pohjoispään suuntaisesti. Meitä se ei haitannut :)

God buffetfrokost, gode drinker ved bassenget, stort komfortabelt rom, med stor dobbeltseng og veldig god service. Fin beliggenhet, deilig basseng.

Hotellet var helt ok iht. angitte stjerner og prisklasse. Fin beliggenhet på stranden.

Ved ankomst fikk vi tildelt rom like ved basenget i 1 etg. Vi hadde bestilt med balkong. Ikke ledig. Fikk tilbud om å skifte til leilighet, noe vi ikke angrer på.! Flotte leiligheter 5 min fra hotellet. med baseng og frokost inkludert . Rent og pent område. God servise. Leilighetene er å anbefale. hyggelig personale. Hadde leiebil fra flyplassen i 7 dager, samme som i 2009. Greit å kjøre rundt å prøve andre strender,

Vi bestilte rom med "sea view" og fikk et stort og deilig rom med altan. Rommet hadde fire senger, god takhøyde og air condition som fungerte svært godt. Kjøleskapet virket ikke, men det ble skiftet på minuttet, ikke noe problem. Rommet ble rengjort hver dag, badet var litt lite, men helt ok. Frokost ved bassenget, greit med egg, bacon, div pålegg og frokostblandinger. Bassengområdet og baren var tiltalende, rent og stille. Håndklær til solstoler kunne vi hente i resepsjonen og de ble samlet inn og vasket hver dag. Beliggenheten er super, rett på stranden, nærhet til alt. Den mye omtalte flystøyen var overhodet ikke noe problem for oss, bare en artig avveksling. Det var ikke trafikk om natten, og det var ikke støy som plaget oss på noen måte. Man kunne bestille mat fra nærmeste retaurant i pool-området, deilig. Likevel er det vertskapet og den hyggelige atmosfæren som trekker mest opp. Vi leide bil og ATV, alt ble ordnet av vertskapet. Bil og ATV ble levert og avlevert ved hotellet. Svært hyggelig familiedrevet hotell, Og vi fikk en veldig god pris. Vi koste oss på Santorini. Betalte rundt 30 euro for middag med husets vin, 20 euro for taxi til flyplass, 45 for leie av bil en dag, 30 for ATV. Rimelig synes vi. Par, 50.

På dette familieejet hotel havde vi 5 dejlige dage, hvor vi hurtigt faldt til og følte os hjemme. Morgenmaden serveres måske lidt sent, men hvis man alligevel har hele dagen betyder det ikke noget, og de hjælper gerne, hvis med at finde alternative løsninger.
