Hotel was well located. Doreen at the front desk was very helpful and kind. Rooms were spacious by European standards. Work out room was nice. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Beds could be updated/more comfy. Very firm mattresses.

Comfortable hotel near main railway station, bus station and metro. Also walking distance to many of the sights. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Okay, I'll admit it - I'm not a fan of the Termini area and much prefer the historic district, but this recent trip had me traveling early morning on a major holiday to the airport. Due to my concern about finding a cab in the early morning (couldn't book a shuttle due to the holiday), I decided to book a termini hotel to be near the train station. Wow, am I glad I found the Diocleziano. It was fantastic. The room and bathroom were great in size (there were two of us and even with our luggage we weren't bumping into each other), and very clean. For breakfast the food and selection was great. The staff was so friendly. Then the location is just a block from the metro and/or train station. I'm very glad I booked the Diocleziano.

We picked this Hotel because it was close to the train station. That said it was a very comfortable and quiet hotel. would certainly use it again.

This is an excellent choice for those who want to be near the train station in Rome. It is a two minute walk from Terminii to the hotel. The hotel itself is quite nice; large rooms for Italy and baths much like those in the US. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff with readily available English speakers.

Was great staff and very helpful when we lost luggage. Electricity was off for a length of time but nobody was freezing lol they give us candles and drinks on the house and lots of laughs. Excellent morning buffet with hot and cold food. Good location friendly staff. Highly recommend

I travel Rome every month and found this hotel very good. Except that, you can hear loud noise from main road when you keep the windows open. The staff is very friendly, very tidy room. Value for money and would recommend anyone

Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast included. Within 5 minutes of the Termini Station.

Close to Termini Station and therefore Metro. Hotel staff very friendly. One of the best continental breakfast served. Wines at the bar very affordable and good quality. Excellent value.

Very good, would stay there again, staff helpful, Wi-fi in room; good restaurant Lampada recommended by staff. Breakfast buffet rather uninspiring but staff friendly.

This hotel has it all! Wonderful accommodations, super breakfast, and most of all amazing, helpful staff...thank you Doreen, Marilou and all! If there was on suggestion for improvement, it would be to get new pillows. Overall, an outstanding experience!

Though not showing as having parking available - we were able to find on street parking within 1/2 block every night. Entire staff very friendly, courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good. Eggs cooked to order - several fruits, cereals and rolls available. The hotel is only 2 blocks from main train and bus station. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed four nights and found the hotel was very well located and had a great bunch of staff that were extremely helpful and always had smiles on their faces. Had a great time in Rome which was helped by staying in a great hotel. Highly recommended.

The staff wre absolutley wonderful, a lady we were travelling with unfortunately had taken a fall & broke her ankle. The hotel staff did a fantastic job comforting her, getting her to & from the hospital & ultimately to the airport. We were totally happy staying at this hotel & would recommend it to anyone.

Too a chance based on review to book this hotel just for an overnighter in Rome! And I would definitely stay here again. A perfect location for access to the train station for those that need to arrive and depart (about 5 minute walk). Since you're in Rome, you're not going to be in your room long however it has all the amenities listed. The bathroom was a atypically large which was a nice surprise. The reception staff were very pleasant, I was greeted in English and clearly given a nice welcome/greeting to the hotel and it's services.

Hotel Diocleziano is perfectly located near the Termini Metro/Bus station. From there, you can get anywhere in Rome. The hotel staff is very helpful as they assisted us in planning our day trips by marking a map with locagtions to visit and how to get there! Hotel staff is fluent in English. In Europe, space is scarce, so although the room is small, it had a king bed, TV, closet, safe, two windows that you can actually open. The bathroom has a bidet and an enclosed tub/shower. The Free breakfast is wonderful! We had our cafe lattes daily to help us start a long day of walking and site seeing! Free Wifi was very useful! there is nothing we didn't like about this hotel. from the day we arrrived until we left.

We thought the Hotel Diocleziano was a very nice hotel. We have no complaints on the hotel itself at all. But it is perhaps too close to the train station, and there is not a good selection of restaurants near the hotel.

I was very impressed with the amenities the hotel offered. These included a gym, free use of computers and internet, breakfast and a mini bar stocked with some soft drinks, juice and a couple of bottles of water. The mini bar items were free and restocked every day. The room was clean and inviting. The room also had a coffee maker. coffee, tea and some sweets. These were all nice additions to a clean, comfortable and well equipped room. The staff were attentive and gracious. Service was very good. The hotel is located very close to the central train/bus terminal. Perhaps, a more detailed map or added narrative would have been helpful in getting from the station to the hotel. I ended up unnecessarily taking a taxi instead of the short walk. Above all, the hotel and room were well maintained. The other items just made it that much better. Breakfast was good with a selection of scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, cheese, breads, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and more. I was very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again when in Rome.

Only stayed one night but wished it would have been more. The room was super spacious, we had a terrace with a lovely view, lots of comfort and breakfast was also very good. Overall fantastic value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to return at all. Highly recommend.

This is probably my fourth time at Hotel Diocleziano. The location is excellent in that it is right next to Termini Train station. Not too many tourists are around which is also great. The hotel staff is excellent.

The Receptionists were excellent and could communicate excelently in English. Good hotel

Our stay was excellent! My mother and I stayed for 4 nights and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel was clean and centrally located near termini station. The hotel staff was so polite and helpful. Everything went great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This is far from 4 stars, even on European standards. Too expensive for the value you get.

Loved this hotel - the staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating. The location was good for walking or boarding public transportation to tour all the various sites of Rome.

Great little hotel. The rooms were very clean and staff was very helpful with all requests. Overall, a very comfortable stay and highly recommended. The only negative was the location - slightly away from the sites but close enough to public transportation that it wasn't a problem.

It was clean and pleasant in a pretty good location. Not that near alot of the Room was clean but fairly small. Bathroom was great - very clean modern and pretty. Location was not near the more tourist-y places but we were able to walk to most of them within 30-45 minutes. Breakfast was ok - not great- but good enough. Servers were very friendly and helpful. For the money we paid I thought the breakfast could have been a little more expansive and varied. Front desk personnel were ok not exceptional. They did their job in a perfunctory manner, not particularly willing to go out of their way. Next time I would choose a different hotel in a more "happening" location with a less expensive rate.

Location walking distance to Termini and hop on hop off buses - room very clean and very good breakfasts - staff very helpful and speak good english

This great little hotel is very clean, well kept and just a 20 min walk to Trevi Fountain and the coliseum - not to mention literally 2 minutes from termini station.The hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help. We were provided with a tourist map and the front desk staff (who speak fluent English and French) helped us locate some less well-known sites. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay. it was convenient to the termini where we left for sorrento the next day. Service was great, breakfast fantastic.

We did not know what to expect of a European hotel but were very happy with the entire hotel staff and the room itself. The hotel is impeccably maintained. One concierge in particular was very helpful and both porters we met went out of their way to make us comfortable. The breakfast vastly exceeded our expectations and the staff there was wonderful and gracious. The hotel is on a nice street about a 12 minute walk from the non-Metro side of Termini station. While the location is not central to most well-known attractions, access to both lines of the Metro and rail connections and comfort of the hotel more than overcame that small drawback. We will visit Rome again and stay there. Tip for visting attactions: walk (downhill) to Trevi, Spanish, Colosseum/Forum, Pantheon and take Metro back (uphill). Don't overlook church in adjacent property (part Roman baths from 300 AD and part Michalengelo) or nearby National Museum of Rome.

This hotel is a perfect choice for one who is going to use the Trenitalia and wants to be near Rome Termini. It is a convenient 5 minute walk to the train station from this hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and attentive to the needs of the traveler on the go. The hotel is well kept, clean, and there is free wifi and even a business center (a major perk since many Italian hotels charge at least 5-6 Euros a day, some maybe for 2 hours). The rooms are stocked with crackers, cookies, a coffee maker and a mini fridge that has contents, water, sodas all of which are free (another major perk). The continental buffet breakfast is typically Italian offering juices, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, toast, meats, cereal, coffee, tea, pastries. There is also a small fitness center and spa. Perfect for the person on the go who wants a great value. I would equate this to a nicely maintained Hampton Inn in the USA.

My wife and I were in Rome for 2 nights. This hotel was a very pleasant, clean hotel. The rooms are modest, but excellent for the price. The front desk clerks were very friendly and eager to please. We received some excellent restaurant recommendations from them. The breakfast is included and was very nice. The location is several blocks away from the fancier part of town but we felt safe at all times. We could easily walk to many of the major attractions (far from the Vatican though, which is on the other side of the Tiber). The ancient Diocletion Baths are literally right next door, as is Santa Maria degli Angeli church which was designed by Michaelangelo. For the price, this was an outstanding hotel.

I had an afternoon and evening in Rome traveling from Umbria--my stay at this hotel convinced me that I was not wise to limit myself! It''s close to a few great sights but the need to travel over the city for others would have been impossible in my short stay. The rooms are perfect, set up with attention to details of the traveler's comfort. The worst thing--not close to any great restaurants for evening meals. And Italian food is a celebration that should be experienced often. Guess I'll just have to go back!

hotel and staff were great. They recommended great restaurants each night we were there. Easy access to the train station, however, walking home late at night near the train station each night was a little sketchy! Three person room was a bit of a squeeze but didn't spend much time there. Also easy access to the tour buses!

I would say the hotel is located in a good place very close to all the transportation hub. Walk able distance to some of the important tourist places. The room was very clean and they even provided free minibar and wifi inside the room. I would say if i want to visit rome again i will stay in same place..

Front desk could not be better! Knowledgable, personable, perfect English and even took the time to sit with me at the computer to book my train to Florence. Excellent breakfast. Nice room and bath. Free drinks from room fridge (water and soda) daily! Free internet. Hotel was only 400 meters from the train and bus terminal, including the two subway train lines that run in Rome. Somewhat quiet area but convenient and outstanding front desk.
