Very comfortable bed. Would have liked tea + coffee making facilities in room since left very early for airport. Needs to provide free wi-fi. Complimentary coffee in Lobby needs to be better maintained. Shuttle service excellent (free) Very friendly welcome from porter

Room was large and comfortable. Being just 5 minutes away from the airport makes it very convenient if you have an early flight. But you should go somewhere else for having dinner.

Really close to the airport and has a free shuttle that begins at 5 am which is what we were looking for. With the hotel so close to the airport it is very far from any food or activities in Barcelona. If you do want to spend time in the city there is an exress bus that leaves every 15 - 20 min right across the way from the front entrance to the hotel. The bus goes to Plaza Espana and runs until about 10:30 pm. Room was very nice and confortable. Staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. Biggest fault of the hotel is no free wi-fi, which in this day and age is rather unbelievable. It costs a small fee for an hour or a larger fee for 24 hrs. Other than no free wi-fi it is a great hotel for your last night in Spain before catching your flight out.

The hotel was nice and quiet - which was ideal for our overnight stay before a Transatlantic flight. It was cozy and clean inside the room and the doors to the hallway were practically soundproof - ideal for this hotel since people are checking out for flights at all times of the day. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the airport, which comes every 60 minutes. Also, the food in the bar (served until midnight) was surprisingly good - and affordable. It was very nice to have one last delicious Spanish meal.

Hotel apparently recently changed hands - signage is missing and taxi driver did not know the location/name (we arrived too late to catch the free hotel shuttle although this was convenient for our morning return to the airport. Staff nice on arrival but failed to provide wake-up call as requested. Room clean and comfortable but lukewarm (at best) water, and a room conditioner that only blew hot air (even when set to 15C) made it less than a pleasant stay. The final straw was a $1 euro per person/night charge that we were notified of at checkout. Clerk said it was a Catalan gov tax. If this is a charge for every room, then it should be included in the hotels.com price. Will stay elsewhere next time

Just needed a place to stay for an early morning flight. The hotel is very close to the airport and offers a free shuttle to and from. Staff was friendly, although there was some confusion on payment - they didn't understand that room was already paid through hotels.com. On the downside - the walls are paper thin. I could hear the person on the floor above walking, voices from adjoining rooms. Not very conducive if you are a light sleeper.

We were given an upgrade to an executive room, because we had waited 45 minutes at the airport shuttle stop for a shuttle that never arrived and ended up taking a taxi to the hotel (minimum fee of 20 Euros for a meter reading of 9 Euros!). We ate at the restaurant and had the daily special, which featured three generous courses. The only downside, really, is the fact that the only two English TV channels are news ones! This is a lovely hotel.

Shuttle service was excellent, even with all of our baggage. Hotel is about 5 minute drive from the airport. The rooms were very nicely appointed, bathroom was excellent. The dinner service and quality was amazing, especially considering your were sort of "trapped at an "Airport" hotel. The buffet breakfast was one the best I have seen at a hotel for a very long time. Incredible assortment as well as cooked to order items.Highly recommended if you need a night to stay in Barcelona to change planes.

I really enjoyed the way this hotel was decorated. The lobby was nice and check out the bar with the wall of light. The rooms were lovely also. There was a leak in the bathroom and they moved us to the next room no problem. The wakeup calls were on time. They gave good directions to the airport. Was a nice place to stay.

Great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport. They have free shuttle to airport. Not close to Barcelona activities. They only have a free shuttle to the city at 10 am with pickup at 5pm. Otherwise you have to pay. If your going to spend most of your time in Barcelona, stay there in town. Hotel was convenient for our last night with early flight. People were very friendly and helpful.

Room was so comfortable I slept like a baby, The room was wonderful as was the bathroom. Lots of space and quality all around. The staff was more helpful than I could of imagined. I wanted to know when the airlines lounges opened and they did the research for me so I know just where to go. Only problem I had was finding the pick up spot for the shuttle to the hotel from the airport. This might have been because I had already been in Barcelona and missed the signs when I returned to find the hotel. Just look for microbus signs and its easy now

We wanted to be near the airport, and this hotel with its free shuttle service filled that bill. There is nothing in the surrounding area so you have to depend on the hotel restaurant--which was only fair. Other than that the hotel was clean and modern. The rooms were satisfactory--and they did give you a free time on the internet to check into your flight and print out boarding passes. If what you are looking for is a quick jaunt to the airport the next day, this is the hotel for you.

The manager, Oscar Bujosa, was exceedingly helpful in guiding me toward a solution to a travel problem. He is the type of hotel manager who takes a hands on approach. Additionally, I found the hotel's employees to be first class. I look forward to staying at the Renaissance Barcelona hotel again.

Very good hotel. Very close to the airport. We stayed there before going on Cruise. They have shuttle to the port. They have shuttle to city center. This is in office complex area, good area. Breakfast not included. Rooms are good size and nice.

The hotel is beautiful but in an industrial area not close to down town at all. The check in and check out process was disorganized and chaotic. After traveling for 24 hours to get there, my room wasn't ready at 6:00pm-and all I got were excuses as to why it wasn't ready. No concessions were offered to me to make up for making me wait over an hour to get a room and no aplogies were ever made. The restaurant wasn't open until 7:00 so after going all day without a solid meal, I was forced to eat their over priced snacks for dinner in the lounge/bar area. They charge $25/Euro per person for breakfast. the shower didn't drain properly, so after showering, there was a pool of water all over the bathroom floor, which spilled over to the sleeping area. The conceirge was rude and acted as though he was doing me a favor by doing his job and making shuttle arrangements to down town and later the airport! When the down town shuttle did arrive (amongst many other shuttles to the cruise ports/airport) the driver never announced who he was, leaving many guests standing around and wondering when he was going to show up. After a brief wait, he left and didn't come back for another hour. When guests complained to the hotel staff the response was, "we're very busy and don't have time to keep track of the shuttle drivers!" What? The shuttle bus is part of the hotel 'service', which they charge for the return trip back to the hotel! It is free when it drops you off in town, but then there is a charge for coming back to the hotel. When I checked out of the hotel, I had a few hours to kill before I had to head to the airport for my flight home, and graciously, the staff offered to keep my bags locked away for me after I checked out and before I headed home. Well, they misplaced my things and almost made me miss my flight home. They do have a baggage check system in place, however, they are so disorganized,the do not instill confidence. I paid for a deluxe room for 3 adults with 2 queen size beds, but they gave us a king size bed and a cot. Not happy at all for I paid, the room was not satisfying, but a clean modern hotel.

Great place for business travellers. I was only staying one night and needed to go to the airport the next morning. There is a free shuttle service to the airport (every 20min) and the journey takes about 10mins. Also a free shuttle to the town centre. The hotel was clean, spacious. Except the room service food wasn't great..

Having the hotel so close to the airport was very important. They started shuttle service to the airport at 5am. Our flight was for 7am. They were professional, on time and very helpful.

Unfortunately, we had the worst ecperience as a group traveling to Barcelona and staying at this hotel. The lines were extremely long when checkign in and the staff were not professional. The rooms were not given as reuested (2 beds) and had no wash cloths; we were given hand towels and told they ran out of wash cloths. I was embarassed as a group leader booking over 30 rooms for family and freinds at this hotel..

The hotel was beautiful and clean. My complaints are that the shower wouldn't drain and the fire alarm went off at 300am. When you're only spending one night and you have a two year old and an early morning wake up call, these issues are inconvenient to say the least.

This hotel was very close to the airport which was great. We were staying there between flights - arrived at night and left for home 1st thing in the morning. The room had plenty of space to layout the luggage to repack - a real bonus after 3 weeks of travelling.The only drawback was the minimum 25 euro charge for the 5 minute taxi drive - felt like it was a rip off.

The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable. The food in the dining rooms and coffee shop was very good. The shower in the bathroom was small and not user friendly. The only complaint I had was that they did not have a converter available for my curling iron. I would stay there again.

This is a fine choice for people looking for an American-style hotel and who are willing to pay rather dearly for it. The restaurant was quite expensive, but the quality of the food was good. The suckling pork was especially tasty. The Alabaster Bar, like the rest of the hotel, had some striking design elements, the alabaster wall in particular. The bar itself is more like a service counter and although we chose to stand there, it made the bartender nervous. The room was like that in a typical U.S. chain, perhaps a shade smaller. It was the second king bed we slept in while in Spain. My only complaint, and the reason I would not stay there again, is that the hotel charges $7 an hour or I believe it was 20 euros for Internet access. Most everyplace else we stayed in Spain and France offered free wireless access. The Interney service in rooms is hardwired. Access in the public areas is wireless. This harkens back to the days when hotels gouged you on telephone use. Cell phones took care of that. But apparently the Renaissance folks want to be the last hotel on the planet to charge you for access to the Web. Thank you very much, but I'll stay in places that regard wireless Internet access much the same as they do lights and water, utilities that folks rely upon.

Overpriced, understaffed hotel. Lousy location, not close to metro or tourist attraction. One long line with only 1 clerk for checking in. Two busloads of guests came in from cruise ships at same time. Overpriced restaurant with only 1 waiter for 10 tables. After checking out, they applied 75.00$ Extra charge on my credit card with no explanation. Rooms were clean and spacious, though.

Very new and modern hotel at Barcelona airport. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was large and comfortable. My wife especially appreciated that there was a bathtub. They offer free and low fee transportation to the city or the pier.

Great hotel after a long flight and ahead of another long flight.Convenient shuttle services. Very comfortable beds made sleeping a breeze. Restaurant open late, so getting decent food late was not an issue. English freely spoken. Would absolutely stay again given the same flight arrangements.

The hotel is isolated in an industrial area so you are a captive. If all you are doing is flying in and then out, it functions as a place to sleep. There is a hotel restaurant but with extremely limited hours and higher pricing. Concierge was most helpful in purchasing internet time at one of the TWO computers in the business center. But, you could sign in for your flight at no cost IF you could connect. Concierge wound up having to phone the airlines and sign us in. Biggest problem was lavatory in bath drained very slowly and not sure if shower drained at all as after a shower the bathroom floor was flooded. It was a mess with wet towels all over the marble flooring trying to stop the water and enable us to walk in the bath on the now slick floor. Reported it to the desk and got the equivalent response of 'we'll check on it'. Would we stay there again, probably not. Would definitely .check other options for hotels near the airport
