LANDMARK RESORT - Egg Harbor

I suppose it's a step up from a cabin in the woods, but at $178 I expected better. The place was probably built a long time ago, when "light and airy" were pejorative terms, so if that's your thing (vampires and backwoodsmen) then you'll probably enjoy it more than I did. Unfortunately, the maintenance looks like it's been done by handymen; everything looks patched up and painted over, and over, and over again. For 50 bucks I would have been happy, or maybe if I had gotten a lake view instead of a parking lot view (although the windows were so tiny that it may not have made a big difference). I won't be going back.

We had a great time at this resort for New Years eve. The staff was great. Hoping to go back next year.

Outstanding

It was the perfect place to spend the night with my 2 sisters. It was clean, quiet and cozy. We all agreed we would do it again.

It was great to feel we had our own place to stay in. Beds and TV need updating. Would stay again and recommend to others.

The rooms are all condos - refirgerators, full kitchens, small decks. We had a 2 bedroom unit and the first floor bedroom was very small. The second bedroom was on the second floor. Only 1 bathroom. Restaurant on site had great fish fry on Friday night.

The Landmark exceeded our expectations! The suite we stayed in was spacious and decorated tastefully. The view from the Carrington restaurant was beautiful and the food was good and reasonable. We will definetly return to the Landmark for our next Door County vacation!

This hotel has a wooded surroundings and a lake view perfect location for those that are looking a place for they own retreat!

Nice place to stay. Very clean, has plenty of pools (both in a outdoors), and not too crowded. You can save a lot of money by grilling your own food. The resort has plenty of grills for guests to use. You can't beat the view!

Nice place to stay, the Restaurant was very reasonable and good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful

We were very pleased with this resort. It was close to many areas that were just a drive away. Our room was very clean and nice sized for 2 people. We were on the parking lot side which was nice for unloading the car. Lake is pretty far away. It was very busy and the pool areas were nice.

The particular one bedrrom we were assigned needed updating, the bed had a waterproof mattress cover which made it very uncomfortable for sleeping during the 90+ heat as the a/c was only in the livingroom. There was no TV in the bedroom which we found odd for a condo unit. We have stayed in many condos and the master or only bedroom has always had a TV in bedroom. The bedroom was very small only enough walking room to get around the bed. The resort ammenities seemed nice but you cannot walk to anything outside the resort. We would not stay there again but would likely be good for families wanting to be away from the lake with lots of swimming pools onsite.

We didn't realize the cheaper price gave us a room with a view of the parking lot, and it was well worth it to upgrade to a room with a view of the bay. We could watch the sunset. The front office girls didn't seem to know anything about restaurants to recommend but there was a cool guest log in our room with helpful restaurant reviews.

Everything was up to expectations. its not a 5 star hotel, but its everything you would expect and more for the price. There is not a better view over the bluffs and Bay anywhere in Door County.

Even though this is a slightly older resort, the hotel and grounds were really enjoyable. We would like to go back in the fall to enjoy the colors.
