This hotel with its modern decor and excellent position was a great place for our 4 night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was varied and plentiful. Room was rather small however.

This was a lovely place to stay. Service was top notch and the room was very nice and comfortable. A very convenient location, right in the center of town, walkable to everything, including the train station. I'd stay here again. Oh, just avoid the bar/cafe on the corner -- they were very rude, but of course that's no reflection on this hotel.

Metropolitan is a fabulous hotel and legend has it a former brothel! The staff is fabulous and responsive. The rooms are a little small but very comfortable. I'd definitely stay there again. Don't bother adding on the breakfast. Italians like sweet things in the morning, not the big meal of hams and cheeses you find in other places. You can buy breakfast in a cute little coffee place nearby.

Located just off main walking street. This is a modern hotel and a great find, very accommodating staff.

The hotel was mediocre overall. Facilities are acceptable; location was very good...close to Ols City and Rail station. Staff was not helpful. In fact, the general manager - Claudio is extremely rude. Unfortunately, he checked us in and we never go back because of Claudio. They try to allot inferor rooms to non-Italians. Asking simple questions like, directions or restaurant reservations were not satisfactory or helpful.

Very good, but as usual when we book an hotel via Hotels .com. We usually get a poor room to start with, then we have to complain about it, before getting a better room. This is what we had to do at this hotel, otherwise its a very nice friendly hotel.

M family and I had a really wonderful time staying at the Metropolitan! The hotel's central location makes it breeze to see all the key sites in Bologna! The hotel owners and staff are all very helpful and friendly, giving good advice from where else to go, shop, eat... recommending good local restaurants and giving good information. Would defnitely stay at the hotel again and a sure recommendation to anyone visiting Bologna!

My two daughters and I really enjoyed our stay at Metropolitan in Bologna. It is a super little hotel very well located for the city sights as well as the train station and only a short taxi ride from the airport. The service was very good and the air conditioning a god send in the very warm weather.

The staff at this hotel are the best feature of this hotel. The hotel is very convenient to all the major sites in the city-center of Bologna. The hotel is very clean and secure. The front desk staff made every effort to ensure our comfort and were very accomodating. The rooms were clean and our specific room was large. The bed was not the most comfortable, but it was clean. Overall, we would stay here again - but, mostly because of the great staff. Also, we used Bologna as our hub for various trips throughout Italty and the hotel kept some of our luggage for us until we returned (without charge) which was very, very helpful.

Excellent hotel for this price on a very central location. Very helpful staff and great breakfast. Our only complaint was that our room was a bit warm.

Really good location, good for sightseeing and convenient for the shuttle bus from the airport - 100 yards from bus stop. Also convenient for shopping and lots of bars and a couple of really good restaurant around the corner. We have stayed in Bologna before and this was definitely the best area and most convenient place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel from 20-22 January during a recent weekend trip to Bologna. We chose the hotel based on location and it did not disappoint. We were less than 5 minutes from Piazza Majjiore and within a 20 minute walk to anything else that might be of interest to a tourist. We had a superior room on the first floor (room 111, I believe). There was a separate small living room aside from the area with the bed. The room was spotless and very comfortable with lots of light if you open the shutters. As the weather was quite cold outside, we spent a lot of time in the room, which we loved! The hotel itself is very trendy - it has a very stylish lobby and breakfast room. The breakfast was great - lots of food and separated into small portions. The fruit was very fresh with great variety, the pastries were delicious and there was a variety of juices, yogurt, bread, meats, etc. There were even little desserts like macaroons, etc. The breakfast staff was very cheerful and helpful. They even make you lattes or capuccinos at no extra cost (note: you do have to pay extra for the breakfast when you book your room but it is worth it). Overall the staff was very helpful. The gentleman manning the desk on Saturday and Sunday afternoon was really nice - he helped us book a restaurant for dinner and gave us great pointers, like where to catch the bus to the airport (instead of paying for a taxi). The nighttime reception staff was a little less helpful (we asked for assistance in replacing a lightbulb in our bathroom and he did not really want to help so we went without). Overall, a great satay and I would certainly recommend this hotel to others!

I would like to thank all the hotel staff for making our stay so pleasant. The staff at the front desk helped us book awesome restaurants for all our meals. The breakfast was great every morning. Thank you so much!

Nice hotel for the price. Good air conditioning in room, but bathroom stayed very hot ( good for quick dry of few hand washed clothes) The room was very quiet, in the back of the hotel, breakfast not worth the 10 Euros - better deal at the cafe across the street.

We asked for a room upgrade to celebrate our honeymoon. We were given a room in the "courtyard". This would be great if you had the courtyard to yourself but not when sharing with a loud family. The walls were paper thin. Another grievance was the toilet was in the bedroom. Breakfast wasnt anything special. TV selection was great and location is good too.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bologna. It is clean, modern and very close to the Piazza Maggiore and fabulous restaurants. Very friendly staff that are on call 24 hrs/day. We had a "superior room" and found it very spacious, especially for European hotel room standards. The only thing is there was major construction happening next door that began at 7am, so sleeping in was not an option. Other than the noise from the construction during the day, they hotel was a "10" in my book.

This is a very clean hotel, with a very friendly staff, in the middle of everything in Bologna. I don't think we could have picked a better room. When staying here, get dinner at Trattoria Tony, not even a block away, one of the best Italian meals I've ever had.

Friendly helpful staff though parking can be very difficult.

The lobby and exterior of this hotel were what I would have expected from a much more expensive place. Hotel Metropolitan is beautifully presented inside and out. The staff were very helpful, and we had a wonderful stay. The location was excellent, and we were able to walk everywhere in Bologna easily. We had a brilliant time here, and I would recommend it to anyone.

It was one of those Italian hotels where you hardly have enough room to walk around the bed and the desk was so small, you can't really work there. VERY uncomfortable. Everything else was fine--bathroom, location, staff was very friendly, clean.

The hotel is in walking distance of most of what you would want to see in Bologna. The front-desk staff were very helpful and efficient - the advantage of a small hotel run by people who know what they are doing. My room was small and rather stuffy, but clean and all I needed for an overnight stay.

The location of this hotel is great that it is nearby most anything you would need/want when visiting Bologna: train station, plaza maggiore, cafes, shops, etc. However, reaching this hotel by car is terrible. It is in the middle of a one way street, whose entrance is blocked. So, one must find the end of the one way street and back up into the street to get close to the hotel for dropping off luggage. Parking is a nightmare, but I think that's not unusual for any city in Italy. The rooms were not comfortable at all. The beds were as firm as boards (though some may enjoy this), the pillow was no more comfortable to sleep on than a book, and the shower was standing room only, and the water swtiched randomly from warm to hot to luke warm (but also non randomly, when you ram your elbow into the knob). Overall, the service was OK. A little snooty, didnt' really ask how our stay was, but at the same time helped us find certain things when we asked for them. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend or anyone. I didn't get much sleep at all in the bed.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Metropolitan. It is a very modern hotel. The room was a bit small, but it served its purpose. The hotel offered free Internet connection in their meeting room. They have one computer that guests can use in the lobby. I brought my laptop with me and I connected to the internet through their ethernet cables in their meeting room. Very convenient. The room was open all night long. The hotel's breakfast was good. A wide variety of food was offered. I would definitely stay here again.

Rene og fine rom. Veldi effektiv og hyggelig betjening. Bra frokost og god kaffe. Kjempefin bakhage, prøv å få rom mot denne. Beliggenheten kan ikke bli mer sentral, veldig bra.

清潔で使いやすく、駅とマッジョーレ広場の中間で立地もよく、空港バス乗り場にも近くて便利です。スタッフも感じがよく親切で、満足しています。ただ通りに近い部屋で、夜中まで外の若者の声がうるさく、もう少し防音が効いていればと残念でした。

very well located, very nice service, great breakfast buffet, but noise insulation could be improved in the room (coul hear a lot what was going on in the room next door...) still i would recommend this hotel.

This small hotel is a little old, but an effort has been made to renovate parts of it. Our room was small but nice, if a little sparse, and the bathroom/shower was very good. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Location is excellent - fairly close to Piazza Maggiore. And the price was good, considering it was Easter and Children's Book Fair. Breakfast was same as most ***-star hotels.

スタッフは皆，親切でした．ロビーも部屋も清潔に保たれており，快適でした．無料Wifiも全く問題なし．ややホテルは見つけにくかったですが，ロケーションも良いと思います．

Trevligt litet hotell med bästa läge mitt i centrum,mycket bra italiensk frukost och hjälpsam personal

Rommet vårt var helt topp, hyggelig og rent. Betjeningen på hotellet møtte oss alltid med et smil og var sært behjelpelige med å guide oss i riktig retning til de ulike serverdighetene. Hotellets frokost var dessuten noe av det bedre vi har opplevd i Italia. Mye spennende og god frukt i tilegg til den vanlige frokosten. Beliggenheten er ellers super, kort gåavstand til alle de viktigste serverdighetene. Hotellet har dessuten parkering tilknyttet hotellet. Kan absolutt anbefale et opphold her!
