Santa Ynez Inn, Luxury Boutique Hotel - סנטה אינז

This place is one of the best place I've stayed. It was wonderful and the staff was wonderful!

Located in the heart of Santa Ynez this quaint hotel has a fierce loyal following and albeit a first stay (and not the first to gush) it's almost a shame to share this gem with more travelers. Clean rooms, fantastic service, and quaint location in town. This hotel is close enough to do the Foxen Wine Trail or even explore Los Olivos let alone Solvang or Buellton...and if you are asking yourself what more there is to do up in this treasure trove of artisan wine-makers, chefs. and independent shops...do us all a flavor and just keep passing on by the freeway up North. Loved the music and fireplace in room as well as high room ceilings...will definitely be back.

Our room was just what we needed after a long drive through LA traffic! It was comfortable and very clean. The hotel itself is so beautiful and has a very cozy and warm atmosphere. The afternoon food and wine was a treat, as was the breakfast. The warm and delicious pancakes I had for breakfast, was very memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again and again.

Each room is unique, so my comments are on 210. Beautifully decorated. High ceilings (elegant chandelier), fireplace w/ 2 cozy chairs & cocktail table, king bed w/ side tables& ottoman, small desk & dresser. The bed was comfortable; courtyard view, no balcony. Heavy drapes for good black-out. No noise. Large marble bath ( extra sink/mirror in the hall) w/ sep shower, heated floors & a large jetted tub. I saw a room w/ the tub framed in the bedroom window. It might provide interesting views but if you're not into having a bathtub in the bedroom, you better check the specifics (also overheard a guest saying her room was over the kitchen; no noise but breakfast aromas)! We found 3 things wrong- the alarm clock wouldn't set, the safe wasn't working & 1/2 the jets in the tub not working. We checked in on a Sat pm and reported the issues Sun am as we left. I didn't expect much, but returned to find they had fixed the safe & jets (so well that it was almost too far the other way – we turned the air flow way down but it was still splashy and like getting a deep tissue massage). I was pleased and surprised they were able to respond so quickly, esp on a Sunday. Mini fridge w/ free water & soda & a coffeemaker. The Inn is a few miles east of Solvang, where we usually stay, but was far nicer than any of the rooms we've had there. Extremely close to Chumash, if you care to mix in some gaming with your wine tasting. The staff was responsive, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful, we'll stay here again.

The staff at the inn were incredible, especially Bobby and Wanda. We were very pampered and relaxed while they set up our activities for us. It was a lovely stay. One of the quietest rooms I've ever stayed in.

Wife and I stayed for Valentine's 2013. Hotel really is everything advertised and more. It is a high-quality boutique hotel in a quaint and provincial setting. Antique furnishings and artwork throughout, including our room. Included breakfast was spectacular: continental style on buffet but also 4-star dishes from the kitchen, choice of two per morning. Sunday was the best Eggs Benedict I've had anywhere. And the pastries on the buffet were unique French pastry type. Excellent coffee, juices too. We brought our bikes on a rack and the riding is truly excellent. There's a bike shop right across the street with maps (and I heard from others they rent bikes though for steep price). We rode one day to Solvang and the next to Los Olivos, both perfect destinations, not too far away and very flat and ridable roads. To Solvang, ride along the highway and you'll catch a charming paved bike path that runs from the school to the outskirt of Solvang. Then you ride along the road up the hill a short distance to the center of town. For Los Olivos, take Calzada to Baseline to Refugio, through charming countryside, very few cars. Right by the hotel is Grappolo for excellent Italian in romantic setting. A block away is Don Carlitos for well-done, higher-end Mexican (we had excellent short-ribs). Tons of wine tasting opportunities in Solvang and Los Olivos (and several right ther in Santa Ynez too). Can't say enough about it--truly wonderful weekend.

Lovely accommodations! Wonderful breakfast! Comfy beds! Helpful staff, clean,quiet and quaint! Would definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful time - exceeded our expectations

An absoltely delightful place to stay and tour the central coast wine country. The rooms are very large and comfortable and the amenities are terrific. The Santa Ynez is a combination hotel and B&B with the best of both.

Old fashion feel and look but with all the modern conveniences. Decor is outstanding, and the gardens are gorgeous. Staff is very accomodating and helpful. Delicious hot breakfast serve. Evenings, there were wine and hors d'oeuvres and desserts with coffee. It is centrally located in a small town. As a result, there really isn't a view of the hills or any vineyard. Enjoyed relaxing in spa tub [in room] after a day of bike riding.

My husband celebrated our 10 year anniversary at the Santa Ynez Hotel, I could not have asked for a more romantic and comfortably appointed room. There complementary bottle of wine was a much appreciated bonus. My rating isn't a fine because there was light bulb that needing changing in the Chandelier and the outside jacuzzi could definitely use some curbside appeal. It's a great stop for a romantic weekend and situated in close proximity to wineries and other quaint towns.

Room was better than advertised. Very impressed, hotel concierge was very accomadating prompt in regards to our neeeds. Recommend to anyone looking for a romantic getaway in Santa Ynez Valley.

Get ready to relax in luxury!

Location, service, amenities all quite nice. Decent restaurants w/in walking distance. Many wineries within short drive. Building and rooms look 100+ years old by design but are actually brand new. Only MINOR complaint was that the air conditioning duct blew directly on your face when in bed, making you feel chilly rather than just cool and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when next in the area.

This is a great B & B hotel to stay at while visiting Santa Barbara and the wine country in this area. My wife was particularly thrilled by the historic (and romantic) nature of the hotel and we spent some time in the library and other parts of the hotel, including the beautiful gardens. The room was quite well appointed and equivalent to Four Seasons standards with large jacuzzi tub and shower and comfortable bed. Our breakfast which was included, was excellent. The help ably assisted with planning our winery tour. We have already recommended to several friends and we will visit again soon.

The Santa Ynez Inn is a romantic place for a couple. There are 20 rooms. I would not suggest that you take small children. It's more of a place to go wine tasting and visit the beautiful areas of Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Solvang, and Lompoc. The room was wonderful except the room that we were in must have had all of the water pipes above it, as it was a little loud in the morning when everyone was taking showers,etc.. All in all, we booked another weekend in March of 2012. We really liked it.

I had a wonderful stay at the Santa Inez inn. It was beautiful, quiet. The hotel staff were awesome. The food was amazing. It gave me a much needed solo respite from the hustle and bustle of LA life!

This was a wonderful stay and I have only good things to say! Very friendly and helpful staff and I could stay in that wonderful room forever. I definitely want to come back if I have the chance! It's the best hotel that we've ever stayed at.

Nous avons séjourné par hasard dans cet hôtel et avons été agréablement surpris. Le personnel est très accueillant et professionnel, les chambres magnifiques (lit à baldaquin, cheminée, musique d'ambiance, bain à remous etc...). Hotel de charme et luxueux que nous recommandons. Aux alentours il y a un lac, des restaurants, un saloon, des petits villages (Solvang non loin est un endroit incontournable). Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.
