Tranquility Bay Beachfront Hotel and Resort - מרתון

Everything was A+, except the beach smelled and all the seaweed washes in, so no one can actually use the beach...my kids were looking forward to play time, and would not go near the water! So if you want to swim, use the pool. The beach is just for looks!

Excellent resort .

The overall stay was good. The 2 bedroom property was luxurious. The location was excellent.

We have stayed in a lot of places around the world and this was a great facility. Lovely rooms, very quiet at night, comfy beds - quality sleep.

Very beautiful townhouse apartments on the Gulf of Mexico. Off the beach units may be better with more privacy. Porches lack privacy, and a restaurant for breakfast is missing, so hit Publix on the way in. Otherwise, this is the best family hotel we have found in the Keys outside of Key West. Service is excellent and friendly.

What an amazing place, wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights. The rooms where comfortable, specially the master bedroom with its own terrace. The gardens, beach and the whole area were beautiful. The food and the service at the dining room were also out of this world. Perfect place to reload your batteries during a hectic and busy vacation. Highly recommend it and will definitely go back .

Excellent place to stay. Many nice features and perfect for families

This hotel is the best thing going in the Keys. It is beautiful, clean, has a great restaurant, pool and its own beach. It is on the gulf side and you can see amazing sunsets every night from the private beach. It is quiet too. We had a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom condo with a full kitchen. Each unit has 3 porches and they were fabulous for reading and enjoying scenery. The beach is clean and safe. We rented waverunners one afternoon and loved it. It is conveniently located in Marathon next to stores and restaurants. One of the nicest resorts for quiet, family fun. Couples would enjoy it too.

Go to Miami first and come here to relax afterwards. Friendly folks work here, and the view is amazing. One thing you should know - you cannot smoke on the premises anywhere...some people were upset about that, but everyone else was enjoying the cleanliness.

Excellent townhouse, really worth it, staff excellent

The rooms are incredible with bedrooms on the second floor and kitchen & living room on the main level. We could see the pool and the beach from the deck off the master bedroom. Very well maintained. My 5 year old loved our stay, the pool and the beach where he chased after small craps. We picked up stone crab and shimp for dinner each night from Keys Fisheries. Highly recommended.

Amazing place and an oasis in Marathon with beautiful grounds and deserted beach. The unit was very nice and private with view of the Gulf and the tropical setting. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet get-away in a A+ property.

This was a first experience in the FL Keys for us. We were two retired couples looking for comfortable accommodations on the water, and Tranquility did not disappoint. Highlights were immaculate condition of the entire property and our two bedroom unit, waterfront location and friendly, attentive staff. Marathon is a bit of a drive from Key West, which we visited during day and evening hours, but Tranquility Bay has plenty to do on site. We kayaked, swam in the pool and enjoyed lunch at the Tiki Bar. Bartender/Waiter Lance gave us great advice on fine dining as well as local seafood. Price was reasonable, though early Feb. seemed somewhat out of season, as most places were sparsely populated. All in all, a very pleasant stay in a beatifully kept resort property.

Lovely well equipped and maintained 3 bed room unit was spacious and spotless. Only downside was a weak shower. Front desk was helpful with restaurant recommendation and fishing advice. Would love to return!

Great 2-storey terraced "beach house" in well maintained surroundings, large pool, balcony. Fully equipped kitchen. It would have been nice to spend a few nights more in this excellent hotel.

We had a wonderful time at Tranquility Bay Resort. The beach-entry pool was great for our 2.5 year old and 5month old children. Definitely check out the Turtle Hospital and order takeout from the Keys Fishery down the street.

Staff was helpful. Location was great. Rooms were clean, spacious and well decorated. One note: The beach on the property faces north. In December and January the bulk of the day the beach is shaded. Also, the swimming area had a great deal of sea grass and was not really useable for swimming. This seems to be the case for many beaches area in the keys that faces north at least during our visit. Southern facing beaches seem to have less sea grass and all day sun when we were there. Resort food was wonderful.

This hotel exceeded our expectations, even having read the reviews and researching photos on-line before hand. It is right off the main drag, but also nicely isolated and contained. The staff were helpful throughout the stay. All of the policies (non-smoking, pets, etc) were explained nicely upfront. The staff was also helpful with other later special requests. There was a wedding reception on site, but we were also informed of that upfront, and told which areas we could go for swimming and dining in the meantime. The rooms were great - like mini condos. The upper and main floor balconies were ideal for enjoying the weather and ocean breezes. The food at the Butterfly Cafe was also excellent, along with the service.

Nice quality resort. Interesting in that instead of a room or suite you have a house. Arranged as streets of mostly attached two bedroom houses with kitchen, sitting room,wc and large covered porch and upstairs two bedrooms and two bathrooms with two further covered porches. Two pools and beach by sea, just missing a hot tub.

Its a beautiful resort lives up to its name "tranquillity" however has a problem with Iguanas around the pool area. They poo around pool and make the decking dirty.Felt did not want to swim in the pool because of this..

Great REsort for the family getaway. There are 2 pools, one adult pool, one for the kids. No bar closed to the pool though and no waitstaff around pool areas, so you have to walk to get cocktails. This resort is conservative and perfect for the grandparents and children. I may have gotten bored if it was just my husband and I. Did i mention ALOT of kids. :) Interior of beach houses all have granite and are completely updated. Each room had a private balcony also.

Tranquility Bay was beautiful, very well maintained with lovely vegetation that made the resort enchanting. They had great activities and a really nice staff. The resort dinner was the best in the area. The smoked fish dip was the best I have ever had. We brought our two children 19 and 13 they just had the best time. There were lots of younger children but they had a childrens pool and an adult pool. I would highly recommend it to couples and families. The beach area was much smaller than we anticipated and the area for swimming was ropped off and was shallow for someone who really want to swim in the ocean. Overall I would go back and would highly recommend it.

It was the perfect place for my family vacation. Could not wish for more.

This bit of paradise far surpassed my hopes and dreams. It was like a hidden oasis with gorgeous grounds and accomodations!

We'll be back, no doubt!! At the last minute our travel plans changed so we needed a place that would accommodate 6 people comfortably. The Tranquility Bay Resort did that and so much more! The unit was clean, well maintained and the staff was warm and friendly. Our experience was so good that we booked a second night within the first hour of our stay!!

Nice hotel, but not great

For the price paid it simply does not get any better. Our expectations were exceeded in every way! A strikingly beautiful property, tasteful in every way. Comfortable and well equipped condos for the price of a hotel room. Lovely Tiki bar, beach, putting greens and heated pools. By far our best resort experience in many years. Our hats go off for the professional management and staff! Thanks!

Note: You cannot smoke at this hotel except for the parking lot. You can't even smoke in the outdoor tiki bar or porches.

Magnifique suite sous forme de petites maisons. Très bel ensemble. Il est très agréable de prendre son petit déjeuner sur la terrasse en regardant la mer. Je le recommande chaudement

Je pensais avoir une très grande chambre...nous avons loué une villa !!!fantastique !!! Nous avons passé 3 nuits de rêve . Balcon face à la mer, soleil couchant . Cuisine équipée à l'américaine !!! Situation géniale pour rayonner sur les keys ... Que dire de plus ? Parfait et extra

Die Hotelanlage ist eine traumhaft schöne Anlage mit viel Liebe zum Details eingerichtet. Die kleinen Ferienhäuser in der Anlage sind darüber hinaus komplett zum Selbstversorgen eingerichtet, wer nicht die Hoteleinrichtungen nutzen möchte. Es ist alles vorhanden was man in einem Ferienhaus erwartet (komplette Küche mit Waschmaschine). Die Lage in Marathon ist ungefähr in der Mitte der Keys, was für Ausflüge auf den Keys ideal ist. Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

Bien situé sur une petite plage, belle piscine, très jolie maison individuelle très bien équipée, 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain, 2 terrasses, cuisine, ... Très calme

Vi bodde i ett "strandhus" som var helt underbart. Det var rent, snyggt och sköna sängar. Mycket nöjda! Minus var att huset inte låg direkt på stranden som det stod i beskrivningen. De husen kunde man inte boka via hotels.com enligt hotellreceptionen.

Veldig fine rekkehus med høy kvalitet. 2 store soverom og 3 bad/toaletter. Kjedelig bespisning, men man har jo eget kjøkken. Bassenget var veldig flott, men kunne med fordel vært oppvarmet. Umulig å bade på stranden da den var dekket av utrolig mye sjøgress (kanskje 4-5 meter å vasse i tang og tare før man kommer til vannet er ganske uappetittelig.) dette kunne de kanskje fjernet?

Loistava hotelli omine uima-altaineen ja yksityisine rantoineen. Huoneisto todella siisti ja kätevää, kun makuuhuoneet ovat yläkerrassa, oleskelutilat alakerrassa. Lomamme aikana tuuli aika paljon ja vielä suoraan rannalle, eli olimme lähinnä altaalla. Täten emme myöskään kokeilleet hotellin tarjoamia (lisämaksua vastaan) vesiaktiviteetteja. Sijainti erittäin rauhallinen ja kauppa lyhyen ajomatkan päässä, mistä sai ostettua ruokatarvikkeet. Aamupalaa hotellista ei saa, mutta ravintola tarjoaa hyvän illallismenuun. Tätä hotellia voin vain suositella - mieli lepää!

This resort is lovely. They have beautiful cabins in a caribbean style. We travelled as a couple and had our own house with two bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, livingroom and two porches. They are clean, very loverly decorated, and with great appliances (fully equipped kitchens, washer/dryer, two TV's). They are clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. the location in Marathon is nice and quiet, unlike Key west iself that is more of a party place. At Marathon you can find much of what you need, there is a supermarket and several restaurants close by. we chose to eat at the hotel two of three nights, and the hotel restaurant has amazing service and very nice food. the third night we ordered in, as there are several places that delivers on the island. beautiful pool area. nice beach and great view, although you cant really swim in the sea due to a lot of seagrass. would really recommend this place for couples or familys that wants a relaxing resort.

Hotellet är perfekt om man verkligen vill koppla av. Lägenheterna/husen är rymliga, ljusa och fräscha, de är även utrustade med allt vad man kan önska sig. Utanför sin egen altan finns havet strax intill likaså poolen. Fitnessrummet fräscht och relativt välutrustat. Vi var där i mitten av augusti och vi var nästan ensamma, kändes lyxigt. Personalen var trevliga och hjälpte till med det som behövdes. Marathon känns som det minst slitna samhället på "The Keys" med flera större livsmedelaffärer. Bil är nödvändigt för att få allt att fungera

Hele mooie huisjes met een 1e en 2e verdieping gelegen rondom een mooie tuin. Eten in restaurant is heerlijk met een ontzettend aardige bediening. Leuk om te combineren met een bezoekje aan Key West en het zwemmen met dolfijnen. Helaas is op de locatie zelf alle zwemsporten tegen betaling.
