Castle Dawn Motel - West Yarmouth

I had to attend a memorial service on the Cape and this hotel was convinient to all the locations I had to attend. Quiet and low-key, I really appreciated the serenity of the off-season locale. Made the weekend a wee bit better.

This place was horrible. The receptionist was incredibly rude, and I did not enjoy the stay at all. The bathroom was disgusting, and the room was musty and disgusting. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!

just an expression but the cleaning lady needs to have her eyes checked, cheap prices attrack low-lifes and that can be a problem as it was with one lun_atic bit_ch above us. Second nite they were not there. Every hotel can have problems... paid alot more and freezer did not freeze, this one did. Shows some age but atleast twice the price anywhere else. Great location for restaurants, Hyannis etc.

Clean, sufficient amenities, descent breakfast, within driving distance from downtown Hyannis

Good deal for the money

You get what you pay for. The hotel was clean enough and breakfast was included but the room was mildewy or moldy and was a big turnoff. We asked to change rooms but the other room we were offered smelled the same.

Convienient to where I wished to go

great bang for my buck was everything i expected it to be bed shower tv, lol a little rusty in the bathroom and the wi-fi didnt work in the room i had to go outside to get wireless but hey it was worth it for the great price! pool was nice and clean

It was a nice place. Staff friendly, answered questions etc. we stayed 3 nights. close to pretty much everything.

The hotel was not what I expected. The room was very old and outdated. When we first walked in, we found a dead bug on the windowsill. There were not enough towels (There were 3 people in the room. We only had 2 bath towels). The toilet did not flush properly even after calling maintanance. The hotel was in a good location in reference to restaurants and Main St.

we were not sure at first since it was sight unseen.....when we arrived it was delightful an old fashioned hotel the owners were pleasant even when we changed rooms.....we would stay there again

Staff very accommodating. Changed from second floor to first floor for better accessibility for an elderly guest without any issues. Room needs to be updated but clean and verything worked. Great location. Excellent restaurants nearby.

It was just an overhaul unpleasant experience. The room smelled of heavy smoke and very very damp. The carpet in the room was very sticky. We found what looked like a piece of a potato chip under the covers on the bed sheet. The room was for double occupancy and had 1 bath towel in it. The only reason we stayed was because we checked in at 1 AM and were just laying over to fly out the next morning to Nantucket. By the way I did address this matter the next morning at check witht the woman at the front counter and shrugged her shoulder and said sorry. Sorry was not good enough!!!!!!! The only thing that was sorry was there MOTEL.

The bed is really comfortable. had a fridge and micro which most hotels charge extra for. had free continental breakfast and hotel is close to shops and entertainment. The outside of the hotel looks run down and a little shady. I saw a car that looked like it was being worked on or something hanging out in the parking lot. The building really needs some paint and TLC on the out side. On the inside things looked clean, but the whole ceiling looked like is was ready to fall in with some water damage or something. Pillow cases had some stains on them. I saw no one ever in the pool outside which I thought was weird. Not sure this would be my first choice for a hotel, but I would keep it as an option. This was one of the cheaper places to stay. I would rather have extra money in my pocket then at a high end hotel. I might stay again if the price is right.

This hotel gives basic facilities.. and is a bit pricy.. probably we visited in the peak season.. the breakfast is very basic ..cereals, coffee, bagels.. that's it.. also don't go by the continental breakfast published by the websites..

Keep in mind that this was one of the least expensive options available mid July. This motel is showing its age but the owners are obviously making an effort to maintain it. However, the reception area did have an accumulation of cobwebs in the fireplace - details. I stayed in a second floor room with a king size bed which was very comfortable. The room was reasonably spacious and had all that you would expect - though the sagging roof tiles did give me pause for thought.. The desk lamp did not work and upon further investigation I discovered that the outlet itself was dead - details. The floor was very creaky which made me glad that I was on the second floor. The shower was awesome! The pressure from this thing was invigorating. Wi-fi reception exceeded that of hotels at twice the cost. Breakfast comprised 2 cereals, bagels and toast with speedy toaster. No orange juice! Coffee was acceptable. Keeping in mind that this is a budget motel that owner operated I can honestly say that you could stay in worse places. Would I stay there again? Sure...depending on available options.

The hotel was nice. But needs new beds and some updating.The people that stayed next to us were very shady and scary. And two doors down I believe there was a call girl taking customers in her room because different guys kept coming in all through the night.Will definitely not stay they again.

Great value for the money.

Well this hotel smelled funny, was outdated and dirty...the first room we stayed in smelled of mold...really bad...but the service was great...we complained and were moved within minutes, AT 3 AM! Very courteous staff, but they need to work on the hotel...

This hotel is in a great location for the price and accepts dogs. Rooms are outdated but fairly clean. The TV in the room wouldn't work. The staff fixed it once but within 30 minutes it was broken again. The biggest problem we encountered were the crickets. They are everywhere! Even in the rooms! It was so loud at night we couldn't sleep. It was almost like camping.

The hotel was the least expensive of all in the area. The hotel is few frills but clean and acceptable. The manager was pleasant. The room air conditioner worked just fine. It is an okay place to go for those looking for a night's stay and beautification is not a critical point. Photos on the net of a typical room are fair.

The location is good.Staff is friendly and rooms are good size but still need renovations.

Overall a great hotel, especially for the money! Room was cleaned everyday, clean pool, accessible to restaurants and downtown Hyannis a short drive away. Would stay again!

I was very pleased by the management, they are very friendly and helpful, our stay was very pleasant.

It was good experimence spending night there, it is near the beach, and the traffic there is convinient.

Its decent for the price we paid. Recommend for the short stay.

The window was gross, And half of the electricity didn't work and it smelled.

The hotel was very reasonable, excellent location, and the owners/managers were very friendly. They offered a small but good variety breakfast considering the size of the room. Also they had rooms for one night only which is hard to find sometimes on weekends. Highly recommended if you are passing through.

I wanted an inexpensive hotel to stay for one night, which is close to impossible at this time of year in Cape Cod. However, this was one of two that popped up. Then 10 minute later, this hotel was the only one left. So, I quickly grabbed it. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. Check in was quick; my room was clean and complete with a microwave and refrigerator; the a/c ran quietly; the wi-fi was free and performed efficiently. The reason I am giving it five stars is that I stay at 5-star hotels that don't offer all of these items at the same time. I look forward to returning.
