Hotel Peter I - מוסקבה

I have been staying at this hotel for about 8 years, and remain a fan. Close to numerous metro stations, very clean rooms and great service.

Stayed many times in Moscow and this hotel has an excellent combination of location, service and facilities. Breakfast is very good in a nice bright room and good selection. Gym is very small - this is my only negative comment

Great location. Easy walking distance to many major attractions like the Bolshoi, GUMS, Red Square, St Basil church, the Kremlin churches and museums, and other major museums including the smaller Gulag museum around the corner from the hotel. The Russian history museum exhibits up until the end of the 1900s. The State Museum of Contemporary History on Treverskaya Ulitsa picks up from there to cover the twentieth century and up to the present. (Both need lots of time so mice to be able to get back to the hotel after a visit. And, of course, it is close to other museums and galleries too. Peter 1 is close to a number of restaurants, upscale shopping and several of Moscow's extremely efficient and clean Metro stations if wanting to reach more distant parts of the city. (More people close to the center could speak some English and were extremely wiling to help.) Our room at Peter 1 was very clean, nice bathroom. We had great buffet breakfasts and attentive restaurant and concierge service. Would certainly not hesitate to stay there again.

Graet location, very well maintain hotel , quiet and centraly located , do not use the business center very expensive, over all a very pleasent stay.

Very nice hotel, close to Red Square, to old city and underground. Big rooms, kind personnel and very clean. Breakfast is very good and has very big choice. Minus - Internet is not for free in rooms. Only in lobby. Otherwise very nice hotel.

1) Breakfast till 10:30 only 2) No Free WI-FI in the rooms. You can get internet for quite high payment 3) Air conditioning switched off in the winter so it was too hot in the room and you don't have the ability to control it For this price I expect more services and comfort !

Peter the First is still cheaper than other neighbouring hotels at this golden spot: Marriott Aurora, Ararat Hayatt, Savoy... The rooms are still spacious but keeping the price they gradually decrease the quality of service: cheaper toilettaries, toilet paper etc. Breakfasts are still ok but here they also switch to more affordable staff: some awful Russian jam instead of DArbo, no more bottled Pepsi etc. Still the best choice for me when visiting Moscow.

Conveniently located; generous breakfast buffet; not-so-comfortable bed giving a feel of plastic coating and too much heated up; considering the high room rates a lack of complimentary coffee/tea making facilities in the room and the lack of free WiFi is not a good sign - but still...

Being from the US, I've always wanted to go to Russia & thought Moscow was best. I learned before picking a hotel, that in Moscow, they are very expensive and generally are so so. There was nothing wrong with this hotel but it was more like a 3-3.5 star at a pricey rate. Other than that, all the staff spoke pretty good English, the concierge was helpful, the restaurant had a great dinner special and was fantastic, and the room was fine. We decided not to use the metro to get to the hotel from the airport since I read about how confusing it is (no English translations) and the potential of getting robbed. So we arranged before hand with the hotel and paid the $100 USD for a car to pick us up - very pricey but it was a nice Mercedes and we felt safe. The hotel is very close to all the major attractions. I'm not sure I would go to Russia again in the future, but if I did, I would stay at this hotel again

Moscow is all about location and price- so it depends on the price you get the room for. On this trip the price was a fraction of other hotels around the Kremlin (e.g. a quarter of the price of the Ritz). Ok, it's not the Ritz but does it really matter that much? Room a good size, bit dated but more than adequate. Good breakfast included and staff were very nice.

Lovely, well run hotel easy walk to the Kremlin and Red square. Neighborhood easily accessible by subway from the airport . Lovely, well appointed breakfast with food for all nationalities. They were even ind enough to recook the bacon for me. Very good value for the area as other hotels cost significantly more. Concierege was extremely helpful and spoke english when absolutly no one lelse did. Room was spacious and very quiet. I asked for a bathtub and the front desk was very kind to as me to wait for an hour for the room to be available as only showers were in the single rooms.

This hotel was in excellent condition (apart from the renovation on the lobby, see above). The staff was personable, the guests from everywhere, not just one country. Attractive throughout.

Great location, excellent breakfast. Staff helpful when requests were made, though without a smile - that's ok, it's Russia. Room very clean and comfortable including flat screen tv, safe, robes and slippers etc. Not the plushes room i've ever stayed in, but perfectly acceptable and pleasant. It exceeded my expectations for a central mid-price hotel room in Moscow.

Stay was for four days at the end of May 2010. We chose this hotel based upon it's location to Red Square, Bulshoi and Metro and also the reviews from Hotels.com. This site did not disappoint! For European standards it had very big rooms, very clean and a pretty darn good breakfast included in the room rate. Didn't think the staff was overly friendly....but then again, Russians aren't overly friendly to outsiders to begin with. We had zero problems at this hotel. Would absolutely recommend to stay here! We enjoyed it and would come back again.

Good Location and safe to walk about, plenty of Bars and Restaurants to try. Nice pool and Sauna in the basement. Staff are polite and efficient. Good value for money by Moscow standards.

Vi hadde et vanlig tomannsrom som vi likte svært godt. Frokost og service var utmerket. Rommet var ut mot gata, som er nokså traffikert, men støynivået gjorde det aldri vanskelig å sove. Beliggenheten er virkelig glimrende, med gangavstand til det aller meste, og nabolaget opplevdes svært trygt også om kvelden. Vi ankom med flytoget og hadde ingen problemer med å ta oss til hotellet med metroen, men det er lurt å planlegge på forhånd og skrive ned hvilken linje man skal bruke, navn på stasjonene (på kyrillisk!) og telle antall stasjoner før man skal av. Da vi besøkte hotellet hadde de forresten et prøveprosjekt med gratis wifi, og det fungerte utmerket. Litt svak forbindelse på rommet, men veldig bra i restauranten og resepsjonsområdet.

Voin suositella. Loistava sijainti,metro lähellä, punainen tori kävelymatkan päässä ja erinomainen lämmin aamiainen. Siisti huone. Kylpylä ei häävi, pieni höyrysauna ja uimaallas.

The hotel is very well placed in the center of Moscow. The surrounding area is nice. I think you can rate this hotel as a 4 1/2 stars.

Een gemoderniseerd Soviet Hotel. Kamers in order, ligging super. Ontbijt zeer matig. In Moskou relatief aantrekkelijk geprijsd.

tres bon hotel service impeccable, petit dejeuner tres bon , chambre confortable et salle de bains aussi, choix dans les oreillers même tard le soir, je recommande l'hotel et le restaurant qui est très bon

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, man kann viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erreichen. Zwei U-Bahn Stationen sind jeweils 5 Min. zu Fuss vom Hotel entfernt. Das Frühstück ist ausgiebig, die Bedienung im Frühstücksraum etwas langsam. Man muss sich öfters bemerkbar machen, bis sich ein Kellner / eine Kellnerin entschliesst, zum Tisch zu kommen und Kaffee / Tee zu servieren. Ansonsten freundlicher Service, insgesamt ein guter Eindruck und das Hotel ist weiterzuempfehlen.

Voor de eerste keer een goed centraal gelegen hotel gevonden in Moskou. Prijs is redelijk in vergelijking met andere hotels. Service was prima tot 3 bussen Italianen arriveerden. Chaos in de lobby en bij het ontbijt. Ook mijn kamer was aan het eind van de dag nog niet opgemaakt. Toch blijft dit hotel een aanrader!

Hotel is very good situated, very close to the main attractions (about 10 min to the Red Square or Bolshoj theater and tube stasion). Breakfast was fantastic, with a large choice ot food, most european, with a lot of fruits and vegetables. There was splendidly to freshen up in the small but very nice swimming pool in this very hot weather (august 1-3, 2010). to girls working there were very kind and attentive. Hotel staff in general was trained and kind, speak very good english. hotel's Interior (espesially lobby og restaurant) fits the name decorated in Baroque. I would stay at this hotel once again and ciuld recommend it.

The hotel is very nice and it met 5* standard. The price is reasonable We stay at the room with two beds, the breakfast is very nice. The only problem for us is that Air Quality is very bad in Moscow during our stay July 17 - Aug 5, 2010. I strong recommend the hotel to other clients. Regards, Chan

Este hotel tiene muy buena situación, a diez minutos andando de la Plaza Roja, las habitaciones son muy cómodas, el desayuno es muy completo, considero que es genial para una estancia en Moscú.

just a shame that the lobby was under construction. It would have been nice to meet up with colleagues for a last glass of wine bfore the end of the day......

El hotel está muy cerca del Kremlim, plaza roja, teatro Bolshoi, etc,. Hay una estación del metro muy cerca que permite el acceso a toda la ciudad, desde el aereopuerto se puede llegar en el tren hasta una estación del metro y despues dos paradas mas se llega a la que está cercana del hotel. El taxi oficial es caro y los taxis no oficiales según me informaron no son confiables. El desayuno fue excelente.
