Rodeway Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport Cruise Port - פורט לודרדייל

Nice hotel and the price was right. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The lady in the gift shop was very personable and the gentleman boarding the cruise shuttle bus was fun and innovative. Also the free internet was a big plus.

The Rodeway is tailor made for the Cruise Ship Passenger who needs to fly in to FLL the day before a cruise.The room was attractive and adequate. it was on the ground floor. A large restaurant was in the hotel. Everything was arranged to accommodate the cruise passenger right down to the stapler in the lobby, chained to the desk, for cruisers to put their luggage tags on at the last minute ( so they won't come off during the flight) Izzy the manager thoughtfully announced to the groups of people in the lobby where to get the provided shuttle to get us to the cruise on time ....the provided bus took us "to the door" ..

for 50$ plus a ride to and from airport and free breakfast . not a bad deal

The rooms were noisie and old. The transportation was good to and from the airport and the port. The breakfast was just a regular breakfast like other hotels.

Our stay was really good. Overall the staff was very helpful...there are a couple of ladies that could use a little more customer service training though. Izzy was great, he made everyone feel very welcome. We stayed there pre-cruise and post cruise, we had no problems getting picked up from the airport or getting to the port. The system for picking up from the port was a little disorganized, they could work on that system a lot more. We will be taking more cruises in the future, we will stay at this hotel. The Reef restaurant that is attached to the hotel was fabulous, best burgers we have ever tasted! Looking forward to seeing Izzy and the gang again!

Seems like most of the hotel guests were there for a short stay before their cruise. I was not going on a cruise but I was looking for a decent place for one night. The outside of the property was definitely a leftover from the old 70s motel architecture. Inside, it looks like the hotel made a good effort of updating the room. Do not expect a fancy hotel but the room was clean and comfortable for a one or two night stay. The continental breakfast was ok. Out of all the propertied I looked into that night I stayed, the Rodeway was the cheapest.

The best part of this hotel was the shuttle service they offered. The shuttle would take us to the Airport or the Seaport for free. The trip to the Seaport was run like a military operation but I guess they had a lot of people to get on the cruise ships. For a few they would run you to wherever you wished to go. They would also take you to the train station for free which meant we could catch the train to Miami airport without paying about $80 for a taxi or about $75 for the schuttle to take us.

Place was quiet and clean and I did enjoy the jets in the large tub, very relaxing! Included breakfast was great and had a good selection of usual items (pastries and cereal, oatmeal, some fruit) plus waffles and hard boiled eggs, and the juice was great! Obky bummer was shuttle stops at 1230am so a taxi from airport cost ~$20 when I wasnt expecting that free ride.

Very decent, especially for the money spent. Saw a roach in the room. Not the end of the world. That happens. Internet was about nonexistent!! Why should that happen in 2013?? Overall, for the money, it wasn't a bad place to stay.

Everything was just fine and I enjoyed having a restaurant and bar on site.

I wanted a clean, quiet, relaxed and convenient place to spend the night and I was pleased to find it all there at such a great rate. The staff were so pleasant and courteous, especially the young lady assisting guests in the breakfast lounge. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed overnight prior to flight the next day. No power on TV; eventually power was turned on. Air conditioning was very noisy. Entrance door closes with a loud noise. No elevator to bring suitcases up, but was provided attendant's service on arrival. However, no attempt to provide same service upon departure; we had to bring our own luggage down.

This was a good place for getting ready for cruise, would not be my choice for staying for a longer visit to Ft Lauderdale. Shuttle to the cruise ship was great.

We missed our flight due to delays at the cruise port and had to stay in FLL overnight. This hotel was inexpensive, close to the airport, and had shuttle service from the cruiseport and to the airport, so we thought we'd give it a chance. It was a PLEASANT surprise when we arrived. It has all the basic ammenities and the staff was available and helpful. The rooms are basic, but clean, as were the grounds. They also have public computers, continental breakfast, a shop that sells everything under the sun, and a restaurant onsite (although we tried the diner next door instead). The convenience for the price is outstanding. If you are looking for a 3 or 4 star hotel, don't stay here. But if you just need a place to lay your head for a night or two, it is more than suitable.

This was a second year of staying at this hotel prior to our cruise. We felt that the hotel and ammenties were good. The front desk staff was excellent! The shuttle service was OK but as Izzy said it is still one of the few remaining hotels that offer complimentary shuttle service to both the airport and cruise pier. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Don't go by all the negative reviews, it's an affordable hotel near port/airport. It's not the 4 Seasons but you probably not trying to pay 4 Seasos prices if you're reading this review..

We booked this hotel for a one night stay before a cruise. We found this hotel to be very friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast and timely shuttles to the cruiseport. We booked a night for another night before returning home and found everything we had before. Nice pool area also!! Would stay again!!

The lobby was like a minimart selling liquor and various items for crusies. The restaurat was average at best. Not what it appeared to be in the pictures.

Expensive for what we got but was great location to airport and cruise port

I had stayed at the neighbor hotels and this one by far was the best overall. Great front desk staff and apparently has a lot of activities that I wasn't able to uilize but I will go back and try some. The breakfast was welcome. free and actually good! Thank you

It was the least expensive and it was spring break, and I only needed a room for 3 hours before catching another flight after a flight delay. I guess it served the purposes, but I would not want to stay there much longer than 3 hours. People nice and reasonably clean, but old and a bit seedy.

I called Hotels.com and they arranged for us to leave 2 cars at the hotel. The airport shuttle service was a little late taking us to the airport and it did take 40+ minutes to get picked up when we returned. Freddy at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

The room was very quiet and it was very close to the cruise ships. It was easy to get to. The breakfast area needs to spread out so that you can get to the waffle stations though. Good value for the money.

The jacuzzi broke, the lobby was loud, the breakfast O.K. and workout equipment unavailable.

They obviously cater to the cruise crowd. I only needed a quick place to stay overnight before my cruise. We waited about 5 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to the hotel,check in was quick, the room was nothing special but very adequate...there was a nice continental breakfast the next morning and there was an individual who directed everyone onto a designated shuttle to their cruise afterwards. It was very organized and efficient. The only thing I could find that I was unhappy about was the crowd ~ but hey ~thats business!

The lobby looks like a flee market liquer store. It's obviously a place that out of town contractors send their employees to stay. Drinking and smoking in the parking lot seems to be a major source of pleasure. The toilet had not been cleaned, the coffee pot had old grounds in it. I could not bear the thought of eating breakfast at this place. They take a copy of your credit card in case you ruin something. It sucked!

Very clean and great location for cruise or airport can't be beat with price. We travel a lot and this was great for overnight stay. Schedule of airline arrivals in lobby and shuttle very efficient. Small courtyard and pool if you hav etime is adequate for short stay.

Stayed one night to catch an early morning flight. Room is very clean. Outside the room, it is a bit on the old side.

Hotel did not have any elevators. Small room. Was fine for a single nights stay before a cruise. Would not want to stay longer. Waited an hour for the shuttle to pick you up from the airport. They tell you to be in the lobby for 10:15 AM to catch shuttle to cruise. You then wait for your shuttle for another 1 1/2 hours in the lobby. I think this is done so you check out early so they can clean your room for other guests. Continental breakfast - OK.

Stayed here for one night after a cruise. Close to the airport. Not much in surrounding area. Lobby has tacky gift shop, outdated furniture and dark and dreary bar. WiFi did not work and staff unhelpful. Room are old and rundown with hard tile floors. Other than very close to airport, not much reason to stay here.

Convenient to Airport/Cruiseport, and good shuttle service.to the cruise port in the morning. Although crowded with cruisers, the morning shuttles were well organized and prompt. We got to our cruise ship ahead of expected arrival, which gave us more time to get settled and have lunch on the ship. Room was great. It did take about 40 min. to be picked up at the airport, but they came, and later I got a call on my cell phone to make sure that we did find the shuttle to the hotel. We will stay there again.

Staying over night in Fort Lauderdale was a good thing to do for me and my husband. We enjoyed a more leisurely night out with dinner that was within walking distance. What one has to realize that all the hotels near the Fort Lauderdale port is going to be busy and crazy busy right before the cruises sale. There were 8 cruises leaving on Sunday but the Rodeway handled the breakfast onslaught well. The hotel is a little dated but was more affordable for us. Like the free shuttle from the airport and shuttle service to the cruises boats. They have been doing this awhile and definitely have their system down. Would recommend this for just a quickie stay. Worked out well for us.

Convenient to cruiseport. Not listed at airport or phonebook, so be sure you have phone number available to call for pickup.

The hotel (motel really) was ok for one night post cruise. Even though we prepaid thru hotels.com we were charged $5 on check out. When we asked why we were told it was an amenities fee for hotel upkeep and the 'free' wifi etc. With a taxi waiting we didn't have time to argue. It's not the amount, it's the fact that we were charged anything at all, and not informed on checking in that that there would be extra to pay on check out. I have never heard of an amenities fee being charged. On principle, I wouldn't stay there again.

VERY low water pressure. Intermittent WiFi service. Ugly loose grout around shower wall. Air conditioner would not get moisture out of the air so it was a cold clamy temperature. Hanging clothes picked up the moisture in the air. Hotel clerk kept failing to enable my door key to work more than a day after telling him of being locked out at end of day (I stayed there four days. Could not move to another hotel as prepaid all four days and no other hotels had rooms due to Notre Dame/Alabama game. Restaurant marginal at best. Every poor parking as cruise people leave cars in parking lots as they go on their week's cruise.

Satisfactory hotel and the free shuttles from the airport and to the cruise worked quite well.

There was noise all night long. Walls are paper thin. No parking.
