Relais Francesca - Piano di Sorrento

The hotel was fine although the service and breakfast was rather mediocre. It's also worth noting that it's outside of Sorrento, so only book if you've got a car (we had a train strike one day). No restaurants etc. in the neighbourhood. Wifi is free, it's clean, we had a much appreciated balcony and it's ok value for money. The breakfast consisted of coffee, sugary juices, cakes, boiled egg and white bread; if you slept in, you'd face an empty buffet with no refills.

The lady running the desk was very rude and unhelpful. She couldn't give us the time of day when my wife asked how to get to the beach. The desk was also closed very early in the day for a hotel, around 8:15 so there was no one there to answer questions or concerns about the room.

Clean, tidy and well run. No problems. Very secure / good security all round - felt a very safe place to stay. Piano Sorrento (seems a fairly affluent area of Sorrento) is a taxi/train ride (one stop) from Sorrento itself (its a bit far to walk but you could via the back roads). Piano Sorrento is more a residential neighbourhood, than a tourist location, there are restaurants though and Relais Francesca is very near the train station (2-3 min walk), so you can use the train to get to Sorrento itself (trains did finish early in the evening in April during my stay). This hotel is better as a basis for seeing the surrounding area (amalfi coast) by car during the day, then using it as just a place to sleep - as you can park easily (unlike Sorrento itself where parking is a pain and expensive). The room I had was a self-contained annex on the ground floor, so no views as such but large - clean, tidy and felt private, with a nice bathroom and powerful shower. Good for the price paid.

We had a nice stay at this hotel - a very short walk to the circumvesuviana train that serves Pompei and Naples - this is totally the way to go. The staff were awesome, extremely helpful. Our room was very small for our family of four, but it worked. Breakfast was good too. And it's a great jump off point for the drive to Positano, Amalfi and Atreni.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. We had a late checkin and early checkout which was all smooth. Breakfast buffet was excellent, good variety. Hotel was quiet and private and very secure. Oranges growing abundantly in the courtyard which we were allowed to pick! No English TV available. Easy walk with luggage from train station and easy to find.

we had a wonderfull 4 nights here, breakfast was very good and the room clean and comfortable. not in sorrento but piano is much nicer. will definately recommend this hotel and hope to stay again soon

Very friendly and helpful b&b staff, and good breakfast choices alternated each day (stayed for 4 nights). Piano di Sorrento station only 5 mins walk away, although the walk may involve dodging speeding cars and scooters as the road is narrow. On the same note, the hotel car park entrance is narrow to turn into, we unfortunately scratched the side of our car - so be careful. Every morning, we were awoken by neighbourhood dogs barking loudly.

A mi chemin entre le Bed and breakfast et l'hôtel, ce relais est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner est varié, sous forme de buffet et diffère légèrement d'un jour a l'autre. Le relais est situé à 2 ou 3 kilomètres du ferry pour se rendre à capri mais une station de train à 300 mètres vous permet d'y aller sans voiture, gris avantage, vu le prix du parking près du ferry. Surtout qu'un petit parking gratuit est présent. Le personnel est sympathique et accueillant, les chambres propres, le quartier tranquille, bref nous sommes restés une deuxième nuit... Attention, l'accueil ferme à 21h.

Hôtel bien situé. À environ trois minutes à pied de la station de train Circumvesuviana. Environ très calme et à l'abri de l'hyper-touristique Sorrento.

Une chambre confortable et mignonne, un hôtel dans un cadre joli et verdoyant, du personnel gentil, sympathique et serviable, un environnement calme et reposant...Voici tous les ingrédients pour un séjour parfait. Un seul petit bémol sur le petit déjeuner qui n'est pas fabuleux, c'est le seul point à améliorer. N'hésitez pas à y aller, vous ne serez pas déçu.

Det här var ett jättebra hotell med stort rum, fint badrum och balkong. Det var välstädat och luftkonditionerat. Personalen som tog emot oss på kvällen var bra och gav oss mycket information. Frukosten var bra men inte mer än så. Ligger nära Sorrento med tåg. Finns mindre badstränder i Piano men var tvungna att betala för att ligga där. Receptionen har inte öppet på natten och öppnar igen 8.00.

un très bel hotel avec un petit déjeuner tout ce qu'il y a de plus correct ( croissants, gâteaux, biscuits, fromage, jambon, tomates...) une chambre très confortable avec un balcon assez spacieux pour 4 personnes,bonne literie, un emplacement gratuit pour se garer, sécurisé, une situation proche du centre ville de Piano di Sorrento, de la gare et de la plage.Un endroit calme comparé aux turbulences de la ville. Dommage qu'on n'ait pas su avant qu'on pouvait venir en train de Naples par le Circumvesuvia , ça nous aurait éviter de louer une voiture toute la semaine!les tickets ne sont pas chers. De plus tous les parkings sont payants, même pour se rendre aux centres commerciaux! Ce relais est un bon point de départ pour se rendre à Naples, au Vésuve, à Pompei, à Herculanum et sur la côte Amalfitaine.

Ok hotel, but something in the bedclothing gave us a really bad itch all night long. Its quite far to the city sorrento and beaches - you have to have a vespa for sure.
