Very clean hotel. Probably a renov after Katrina. Excellent service. Super nice room. No views to speak of.

The hotel was beautiful and the service excellent, including the spa. Being in the downtown area did not create any real challenges, although you do have to pay for parking but that is typlcal of downtown hotels. The hotel was easy to get in and out of and the location gave us a better opportunity to see the beauty of the city - historical homes, entertainment and nightlife locations. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time at this hotel during our stay. The staff was very nice and the room was very clean and was large.

Room very clean. Could walk across floor barefoot and feet didn't get dirty. Service excellent always polite and with a smile. Very close to saenger theater where we went for a concert really within walking distance. There on a Sunday so everything was closed which was ashame because the area has been restored.

Perfect hotel in the heart of downtown Mobile.

The service was impeccable. The staff was very accomodating and friendly.

the people were extreamly friendly. From the front desk help to the bartender at the pool - Logan and Aaron and Vicki in the desk. Always friendly. Could not do enough for you. breakfast -the waiter and waitress very helpful and friendly. piano bar was also GREAT. We had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful hotel, in a great location and with a lot of amenities. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel has a geat pool on the 8th floor and a beautiful crystal room with great paintings. I would definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Mobile AL. Don't forget to visit the Spanish Plaza and the Immaculate Conception Church which is very close to the hotel!

They had construction above our room. we were never informed until we were woke up at 7am with all the noise that never stopped. We didnt get but 2hrs of sleep but still had to pay for a full night that we couldn't use due to all the loud noises.

We felt underdressed walking in. But we were not treated as anything other than wonderful. BEAUTIFUL hotel and EVERYONE was super nice! Great view and found a WONDERFUL Mexican resturant within walking distance. The first time EVER I've stayed somewhere with no complaints at all.

Had an excellent experience at the Battle House in Mobile. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The spa and pool/wellness areas were also very clean and well maintained. Plenty of clean towels. Spa services were highly professional. The Joe Cain restaurant had very good food and the wait staff was very energetic but not pushy. I would easily go there again.

Wonderful, large rooms. Very nice and helpful wait staff. Wish it had cheaper parking options.

Wow ,first time visit won't be the last ! Room was nice and spacious, service was exceptional,food quality and convenience to everything for Mardi GRAS was awesome . My only negative was parking was a pain had to use valet which cost 17 a day and tipping those the valet each time got expensive.

Located just off the main street of Mobile, which has a small downtown area. Our room on the 5th floor of the Tower (of relatively-recent construction) was well appointed, with WiFi included. Large and quite a grand lobby is located in the older hotel building. Overall a pleasant stay in a fine hotel.

I love the decor of the rooms and the rest of the hotel. It is wonderful. It is where I stay when I go to Mobile. I've been to other hotels and this is my favorite in this area. I was though not altogether happy with the service (just this last time) at the restaurant on my last visit. All of the other times the service was FANTASTIC!

We have stayed at this hotel before and it never fails to please. In a world where everything is throw away or planned obsolescence, isn't it wonderful that a classic hotel can rate above new glass and brass cookie cutter models? This is a classic building that has been renovated to provide top shelf facilities in a splendid setting. Truly a blast from the past without giving up anything in the way of comfort, service and dining experience. I am a hard grader but have to give praise where it is due. Great job, Battle House!

Too many confederate flags for me to feel comfortable but if you have to be in Mobile, this is an excellent place to stay.

This grand-dame of Mobile, Alabama has top rate valet and front desk service staff, and a world-class restaurant (Trellis) with the kind of southern hospitality that one expects in a world class hotel. Consistently disappointing housekeeping dampened an otherwise perfect stay.

This hotel is beautiful and the food is great. The service is excellent. I can't wait to return. This is my hotel when I am in Mobile.

rhw air conditioner was never cool

If you are in the Mobile area, it is the place to stay. My wife and I only had one night. Wish we could have stayed longer. Large rooms, beautiful decor throughout and staff made us feel wanted. The historic value is prominently displayed. Three different dining experiences within the hotel: one great for drinks in a relaxing atmosphere; one for sports bar appeal, and the Trellis for four star fine dining. All three were outstanding in food and service.

Our family picked out the hotel online as our stopping point while going from St. Augustine back to San Antonio. The hotel was close to I-10, the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was beautiful and it had a great pool and workout room that the family enjoyed. A few restaurants that were within walking distance more than took care of our needs and we had zero disturbances or problems.

Hotel was beautiful! Convenient to I-10. Staff was very cordial and helpful. Will be staying here again.

This is a beautiful hotel that is part of the Marriott chain. The lobby is large with unique artwork by a local artist. Since it's renovation in 2007 the hotel has added tower rooms where they placed us. It's a little walk from the lobby to the tower, but the rooms are nice and larger (490 sqft) than the standard rooms. This was such a comfort as we didn't feel squeezed into the room. The bedroom had a nice wooden valet to hang a suit and was very comfortable. The bed was up to Marriott standards and was very comfortable. The bathroom had a separate tub and plenty of floor space. The amenities were from Aveda and were a delight. This hotel is right off Dauphin & Royal and so is at the beginning of downtown. Will stay only here whenever we are in Mobile.

This hotel constantly exceeds all expectations. The lobby, restaurants and guest rooms are all outstanding, as is the location. Five stars all around - the only place to stay in downtown Mobile.

Stayed for New Years eve. he hotel was fully booked. The atmosphere was lively. The service was very good. The room was quite large with separate tub and shower. Room service for breakfast was very timely. We really enjoyed the spa experience. It is a not to be missed part of the Battlehouse experience. Remember your bathing suit for the spa soaking indoor pool.

better than great service-- very friendly and accommodating. Only flaw was a buggy internet access system-- it didn't work.

this is the best hotel in mobile. combining history with modern eminities. great food-service. get the balcany view!
