צוות נחמד ומסייע. נמצא בסמטה וקרוב לאזור סואן, אבל הכול בטוח וזהו מלון שקט. בסמוך לדלפק הקבלה של המלון יש סוכן נסיעות מאוד נחמד. הצנרת זקוקה לשיפוץ מסוים. האוכל היה טוב וארוחת הבוקר הייתה נחמדה. 20 דקות הליכה לשוק התבלינים ול- Red Fort.

ממוקם בדלהי העתיקה, וחוויה יותר אוטנטית. אבל השכונה מאוד ענייה וצפופה. המזגן שלנו לא פעל. צוות המלון נחמד מאוד. גם ארוחת הבוקר החופשית (חינם) הייתה טובה. החדרים נקיים. בס"ה עסקה טובה.

כל הביקורות ציירו תמונה מדויקת של הפנינה השחוקה הזאת. אני אישה בת 50 הנוסעת בגפי -החזקתי חזק את הארנק שלי באזור הסמוך. פעם ראשונה בהודו, אספו אותי בשדה התעופה, מנעולים גדולים בדלתות, ארוחת בוקר טעימה מאוד. אני מתכנן לחזור לשם ללילה האחרון שלי בדלהי.

הייתי שם קודם ואני מוצא שזה מקום טוב לשהות בו אם אתה מתכנן לראות את דלהי העתיקה, ממש מעבר למפתן הדלת. צוות ידידותי, חדרים נחמדים ונקיים ושרות מעולה! אם אשוב לדלהי בהחלט אחזור להתאכסן שם!

אני אוהב את המקום הזה. היה זה ביקורי השלישי בשלוש שנים. המקום נשאר אותו הדבר: נהדר. החדרים המרווחים והנקיים נפלאים, כמו גם הצוות. אפילו אם אתה עושה צ'ק-אין באחת בלילה!

מלון Tara Palace נקי מאוד, מתוחזק היטב והצוות ידידותי ומסייע באופן יוצא מן הכלל. אבל הוא כמו נווה מדבר במרכזה של שכונה מאוד מפוקפקת. הוא ממוקם במורד סמטה צרה בצד כביש גדול יותר, מול אתר פסולת. הייתי עם החבר שלי, שהוא מאמן אישי בנוי היטב וגובהו 199 סמ, ואפילו הוא לא הרגיש בנוח בלכתנו בסביבה הקרובה. בלילה מפחיד במיוחד, אז אם אתה מחליט על Tara Palace, תוודא שאתה מגיע ועוזב בשעות היום.

השכונה אומנם לא הכי טובה אבל המלון הזה ממש טוב. השירות היה מצויין, הצוות אדיב וההתרשמות הכללית מצויינת.

למרות היותו מלון זול, הייתה לי שהייה טובה ומרגיעה במלון. הצוות היה מועיל וידידותי. הסביבה הייתה דלהי ישנה טיפוסית, ליד שוק רועש אבל יש מהמלון גישה נוחה לכמה אטרקציות בדלהי.

החדרים היו בסדר, האינטרנט האלחוטי החינמי (רק בלובי) היה הפתעה נחמדה. אהבנו אותו בשביל לילה אחד, אני לא חושב שהיינו שוהים שם שבוע או אפילו סוף שבוע במקום הזה, אבל בשביל עצירה של לילה אחד הוא נהדר.

מלון בסיסי אבל נוח קרוב ל-Red Fort באמצע של דלהי הישנה. אל תצפו למלמלות או לדברים מיוחדים והמיקום הוא לא לפחדנים מכיוון שהמלון בוא באיזור מאוד עני, אבל אל תיתנו לזה להרתיע אתכם, הצוות ידידותי ומועיל והאיסוף משדה התעופה היה כפי שהוזמן. קיבל את פנינו נהג נחמד שחיכה לנו. נהנינו מהשהייה שלנו והזמנו עוד כמה לילות כשנחזור לדלהי.

The Hotel Tara Palace is arguably the best location for anyone wanting an honest colourful taste of Old Delhi. Step out and walk to many tourist hotspots. We were picked up from the airport late evening and arrived at what seemed a scarry neighbourhood. I remember reading " be brave " sure enough we were escourted down a laneway to find a charming old building with attractive marbel flooring throughout and a lift to carry your luggage upstairs. We slept peacefully and in airconditioned comfort. While there are no hot bubble baths to be had, room service is good and the meals are good. If you want a view then climb the stairs to the roof top to see the Red Fort & Jama Masjid while you sip your morning chai tea. I will definately stay there again, there is too much to see.

There is not many hotels in Old Delhi, this hotel is one of the few that is situated in Old Delhi, and is a 5 minute walk to the red fort. The only problem with this hotel i found was the fact that there was no wifi in the room, to use wifi you have to use it at the reception area. This hotel gives you a complimentary breakfast which is good and overall it's value for money.

We picked Tara Palace because of the location which is great, within easy walking distance of the Mosque, the old city, and the Red Fort. (It is easy to get a tut-tut to other sightseeing areas but you need to negotiate). The hotel was clean and the room spotless. Shower worked well and water was hot and even though there was no shower curtain the water did not spritz everywhere. Staff very accommodating including arranging airport pickup. They gave us a 24 hr. phone number for emergencies. Breakfast was fine, not buffet but had several choices. We found the travel agent across the alley from the hotel was very helpful in planning our stay, making hotel bookings, arranging a driver for us, etc. We worked with Mubarak and he was pleasant, had good English, and was not pushy. The hotel put us in touch with him. The only negative I have is that the area around the hotel is not great, and the hotel itself is down a small alley so is hard to find at first. However, it is not an unsafe area, just an old city area. We found the room quiet and we feel the hotel is very good value for the money.

While located in the bustling and hectic Chandni Chowk, the stay at the Hotel Tara Palace provides a respite from the day's activities. There is easy access to the Red Fort and Jama Masjid and a few blocks away is a Metro station that connects you with the entire city. The staff and service were superb and extremely helpful with a first time visitor to India. And if you dine at their restaurant, try the vegetable biriyani.

We had worst experience of our life. We arrived Hotel on very Hot day. We provided ID (Passsport for my wife and daughter and Indian Tax ID card for me). This was not sufficient for the staff. Please note Airline and other Hotel in India accedpted this documents. They demanded my passport and Indian visa for all of us. We didn't bring this. They won't give us a room until we provide this. I have to call my nephew wo live 350 miles away to get his info. He went to bank ocker to get the info. I told the staff that info is coming by Email in 2+ hours. They won't give us a room unless we sign a piece of papaer which states that if info does not come in 2 hours then we have to empty the room and leave. I refused to sign. I spoke to Hotel owner Pradip Goel but he refused to do anything. Owner also was very rude. The front desk person Pawan was very rude to us. We requested to owner and Pawan to cancel our reservation due to this but they said we will be charged one night charges. The front desk didn't offer water or any drink. We sat for 3+ hours. Once document arrive they give us a room. Please note we stayed 3 nights at other Hotel and we had no issue. We literally got harassed by Hotel stadd and owner. No one should at this place. We lost complete day of our vacation due to this, Hotels.com must stop offering thisHotel to thir clients. We will never stay at this place and no one should stay at this place..

very good, staff were excelent, very helpfull, they will do beyound their means.they oraganised tour to agra, jaipur, delhli was excelent. Airport pick was bonus. Breakfast was fantastic we loved it.I would like to see some non-veg option too

We were pleasantly satisfied with the Tara Palace. The hotel is off of an alley near one of the markets, and the area looks a little rough (but this can be said for most of old Delhi). The hotel itself is very nice, well maintained and managed, and the staff were quick to help when asked. Our room was quite comfortable, and the restaurant serves simple veg fare but the food was fresh and well done. I would stay again.

Hotel was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful and made their best. When you arrive 1.st time the entrance street may upset you. After couple of days you get used to it.

\we arrived at 3am and were promptly met by the free airport shuttle. If you've never been to India before and this is your first time, you may want to consider something closer to the more touristic area and visit Old Delhi versus stay there. On the other hand, we acclimated more quickly than maybe we would have otherwise. Very close to Red Fort, but far from other sites. Hotel has tour office next door and we were able to do a tour of the most important Delhi sites in two days with car and driver for about 1200 rupees/day. Not too bad, but you can also get to the main sites for around 100-200 rupees by tuk tuk.

The hotel is located in an alley full of street vendors etc and it is kind of scary, but once you walk in to the hotel, it is a completely different atmosphere. The staff is very helpful, great food (fairly priced too), and clean rooms! What more to expect for such a price! A word of advise, if you are using their travel counter, try to get a good driver as almost all the drivers they gave took us to tourist traps! (gift shops which gives commission to drivers and restaurants (Red Onion New Delhi and Maharaja en route to Agra) who operates a higher priced menu for tourists who are bought in by drivers.

Unless you're in search of opulent luxury, this is about as good as it gets. Staff -- particularly the front desk -- are very helpful. Place is very clean and comfortable. I stayed for over a week so that should tell you something. I just wish they had wireless in the rooms instead of only in the lobby.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is in a great location if you want to be close to the sights of Old Delhi (5 mins walk to Red Fort, markets and bazaars etc) and see a bit more of everyday Delhi. It's 2 stops on the metro to Connaught Place and New Delhi. Room was clean and comfortable. The food from the hotel restaurant was delicious. Happy to recommend this hotel.

The bed was very very firm. The hardest I slept on in three weeks in Nepal and India. Note that free airport pickup does not mean free airport dropoff. The hot water did not work in the morning.

nice,clean hotel. friendly staff, nut not situated in a convienient travelling place. far from central shopping places. but for a clean relaxing place to stay will recomend.

This is a great hotel to stay in if you WANT TO BE in Old Delhi given its central location and great roof top views. Staff speak great English and are extremely helpful. Room cleaning is not a given and does need to be asked for. Also adjoining travel agent needs to be bartered with. check going rates for cars to Agra as we paid too much for a driver who feel asleep at lunch time when we were in the Taj and couldn't be located for an hour.

Good and friendly service- very clean-everything works ok- free use of PC and internet in reception-good complimentary breakfast- the free pickup from Airport worked perfect. Be avare that the look out from the windows and balcony is not something to pay ekstra for! 1 step out of the door from the hotel, and you are in the midle of Old Delhi. If it is your first day in India, traveling alone maybe, it can be a bit overhelming. I stayed in Old Delhi last time in 1972, and found it hard to see much change in the area around the hotel. After a some time you will realise that as a tourist you are much safer in the area around the hotel than in Connaught Place. No pocket theives-scams-Touts around the hotel. Only trouble with the location is getting a taxi to airport. Only Richshaws within several km distance. the hotel will however get you a taxi, but the price is 700 rps. Way over what you pay the other way for prepaid taxi.

Tara palace is a fine place to stay. The room was very clean and that is one of my primary concerns. Plus they provide free water and breakfast which is huge. Otherwise it was pretty regular.

Taara Palace was clean, neat and comfortable to stay in. Food was tasty too. Dont listen to taxi walas who will try to make you stay elsewhere for comission. Also while you are visiting embassy area in Chanakyapuri, dont park your travels car on the road. I had to pay 400 as fine, bcos the driver parked the car on the road.

This hotel is everything that i had expected and more. It is in the middle of Old Delhi which is very much of an eye opener. We knew what to expect because we had read the reviews. We arrived late evening from Goa and were collected from the airport by staff. The driver reassured us that the hotel was big and busy - i got the impression that some people had been surprised by the hotel's location - it really is down an alleyway. Once inside the hotel is very nice and clean and much bigger than expected. The room was quite large and clean. The bathroom was also clean and a bit basic but very adequate - hot water always available. They also had 24 hour restaurant and as we had arrived late evening by the time we had sorted out it was too late to go out so we eat in the restaurant. It is vegaetarian only but very good - i was surprised how nice it was actually. The breakfast was also excellent. We were able to change money in the hotel and the staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We were only there for 3 nights but if i ever had to go to Old Delhi again i would definatley stay here. It is fantastic value for money. Thank you to all at the Tara Palace.

At first, it might look scary because the hotel is inside an alley. But it turns out ok - staff are nice, rooms are clean. But please note the following: 1. hot water is not always available. You have to call to turn on the heater 2. They overcharge for the car from hotel to airport. Thet charge more than 2x the usual rate. But if you bargain at 2x, it would be ok. Maybe you can bargain 50% more than usual rate. 3. It may not look safe outside, but it is. No problem walking in the middle of the night. It's definitely an eye-opener.

Everything was better than expected. Hotel staff were very attentive to our wishes. Once you get used to going 50 meters through an alley in the Old Cycle Market you quickly appreciate the location. 15 minutes by foot to the closest metro station in front of the Old Delhi Train Station. A solid 3-Star Hotel. Good price.

The hotel is located just a 10 minute walk from the historic Red Fort which is definitely worth a visit. The hotel is also in the middle of a busy side street, but surprisingly quiet given all the traffic and people outside. However, make sure you get a room either on floors #1 or #2. Our room was on the 3rd floor, right next to the hotel restaurant where the staff was making a lot of noise until very late at night (past midnight). The rooms are sparse but relatively clean, which should be enough in Delhi. The hotel offers free WiFi in the lobby, running hot and cold water as well stable electricity and a flushing toilet.

Staff was great. Hotel was clean. The problem is the location. It is next to a garbage dump and the front door is down a well-lit alley. Once out of the alley, it's a mess of a neighborhood. If you want to see Old Delhi, it will suit you. If you want anything else, the location is likely to leave you displeased. I am also biased since I hate Delhi. If you want to go somewhere nice in India, try Chandigarh.

The Tara Palace do everything they can to make your stay comfortable, even to the point of helping new foreign visitors avoid the local ripoffs. This is about the only place I like to call home when passing through Delhi. The hassle of the long ride to and from the airport is well worth it.

GREAT Location ! Free Airport pickup. My flight was delayed and guess what ????, " YES" They were still there to pick me up and take me to the hotel. Staff was great helpful and friendly, Everyone that I spoke with spoke English.... Cold room AC, ICE cold beer and drinks, hot showers and very clean sheets. Great breakfast American or Indian Breakfast. The location is great in the old town. Please keep in mind that this is Delhi's old town, the neighborhood is pretty poor, BUT Safe !..........If you want a good hotel as described above this is the hotel for you.......... The entrance is distinctly unpromising -a fairly dark alleyway full of old motorbikes, but the security guard by the door was reassuring and the welcome was genuine. All in all I thought this was a professionally run hotel. Just a note of cautionabout the travel agency that operates next door .They were very plausible and helpful but there is a lack of transparency in their dealings. I never did get a breakdown of itemised costs(including their commission ) and I left feeling I had been overcharged

Have stayed at Hotel Tara Palace several times before. What keeps bringing me back is the quality of the hotel and its services - all top notch. Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, hot water is plentiful (rare for budget hotels in India), staff is eager to assist in any way possible. Chandni Chowk area is very congested and the hotel can be a bit hard to find, but if you're into bargain shopping, this area can't be beat. Red Fort and several Hindu Temples are within walking distance. Complimentary Continental breakfast was a plus. Don't let other reviews scare you about the area. It's a true taste of India though probably not best for the kids.

Hotel has excellent, friendly front desk personel. The staff was extremebly helpful and the rooms were clean and well kept. The hotel is located in Old Delhi, close to the metro and a great shopping section of the city.

Commençons par les bons points : l'emplacement tout près du Fort Rouge et de la Jama Masjid. Les gens à la réception sont aimables, les draps sont propres et la cuisine est bonne. Les mauvais points : l'hôtel est situé dans une ruelle glauque et sale. La chambre était miteuse au possible, j'étais trop fatiguée en arrivant pour en demander une autre. Le lobby toujours pleins d'hommes, impossible d'y descendre pour une femme pour utiliser internet disponible que dans cet endroit. Globalement, on peut trouver beaucoup mieux.
