Hotel Elegant - מונטריאול

Good so far, the room next door were very loud untill 4 am. Service was great young guys at the front desk were very friendly.

The people at the front desk were very pleasant. The hallways were clean, and our room was small but tidy. The bed was very hard and I was a little nervous about the bedding as there was some unknown hair on it, but the tv was nice and large. It had a jet tub which I did not try but thought was pretty cool. Basically it was a good place to crash after seeing an amazing show at the Bell Centre, for a cheap rate I couldn't ask for much. Also, the "continental breakfast" was a muffin, a croissant, and orange juice. Not much. But overall it was a good stay.

Location is perfect, walking distance to everything, metro station is a block away. Parking garage is across a street, looks secure, reasonable charge per day. Staff is very helpful, just do not be shy to ask. Would definitely stay again.

The room was very clean, but had a strong chemical smell that i could not identify and would not go away. similar to moth balls. other than that, the room was clean and comfortable and everything else was in order. Great location if you are not familiar with the area and reasonable rates.

When they say it is in the heart of the city, what part of the city? For first timers that was very deceiving. The hotel does need work - basing this on our room. For us, just using it for sleeping was OK. The breakfast room was very small - could not accommodate many - food was just rolls and muffins, orange juice and coffee or tea. Would not recommend.

Good little hotel pour a night stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area was noisy and there's a lack of isolation on the windows.

The room had no AC. The breakfast was Costco muffins and croissants. The coffee was good though. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I liked the people alot. They just need a better breakfast and AC in the rooms.

The title says it all, it is close to the center of town and clean, breakfast was pretty lame, parking was good. The choice of name is quite amusing in an ironic way ;-)

Having selected an economical hotel for our stay, we were pleasantly surprised with what we got. The hotel location cannot be better, right next to the bus station and the metro station and a 10 minute walk to old montreal. The room was nice and clean. More impressive was the bathroom with the bathtub and aqua massager. The only thing that was ordinary was the complimentary breakfast (which was expected, cake, croissant and tea and juice) and that room service took a while.

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I asked the shower curtain to be changed due to mold and it was done right away. The walls are paper thin. The balcony is nice and the fridge was an asset.

It was good, got what we paid for. Room could use a little updating though with tv, blankets, etc. beds were pretty firm but doable.

The bathroom could have been better cleaned, grout in tiles look like they were never deep cleaned. Bed was super hard. Asked for another blanket and it had burns marks and was ripped. Breakfast was just one kind of muffin and crossiants. Other than that, room was quite, shower had good pressure, 2 guys at front desk were very helpful with directions, etc, parking was cheaper than surrounding and it was underground withj security, and location was near a drug store, grocery store, the metro and it only took 15 min to walk to major site seeing locations. For just sleeping in the room and being out all day, it was reasonable.

The staff was very helpful. But the location was too close to gay district and surrounded by homeless people. Seedy neighborhood.

We'd all stay here again. I can't complain about anything. Very comfortable sleep and perfect for a weekend with friends.

Bad

Extremely close to the coach terminal if you take the bus to Montreal, like we did. The hotel was also close the subway, which could ALS be accessed from the bus terminal. A fairly close walk to Rue St. Denis, where you find a nice selection of restaurants. The only thing I was disappointed about was the quality of some of the towels and not having a mini-fridge as promised. The towels were clean, but they seem to have permanent, subtle stains that won't go away. My girlfriend and I shared one towel and requested more the next day. Some of the news ones received were in similar condition. The mini-fridge we were promised on the web description wasn't in our room. For whatever reason, we didn't have one. We had a peek into some of the other rooms each day we went out and realized the other rooms DID in fact have a fridge. It wasn't really a big deal not having a fridge because we ate out all four days we were there. If you're concerned about not having a fridge, just make sure inquire before checking in. The staff at the hotel were friendly and it seemed mostly family run.

Good location, but very outdated and smells like cigarettes. Breakfast is very bad.

We were disappointed with the room because we could smell smoke and also we could hear conversations through the walls with the people who were staying there. Also the continental breakfast was so minimal. There were a few croisants and some frozen/stale muffins, not even butter for the croisants. There was a toaster but no bread.

Unfortunately we stayed at the hotel when some guest decided to putll the fire alarm several times during the early morning. This meant that we did not get any sleep from about 4:00 am on. Also, I believe that we left a thin long sleeved shirt in our room, #325 and if you find it, I would very much appreciate it if you could send it back to me. It is a favourite top. Thank you .

The Hotel was nice enough,they stated it was non-smoking,smelled of smoke! We were on second floor and people above us were noisy.Music from a couple blocks over went on until wee hours of morning.Parking was next to impossible.

Great location. I've stayed at many hotels in Montreal, mostly 4 and 5 star hotels.This place was perfect for my recent visit. Clean and comfortable, quiet. Great place. Would not hesitate to return.

No room controls for air conditioning. Extremely cold. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The back parking lot of the building sounded like a construction zone. There were multiple people using very loud language through all hours of the night. The last night there there were a number of vehicles parking very late with headlights shining in throgh the window. Would not stay there again. I spoke to the desk about the cold air conditioning and the manager told me he could do nothing about it and that maybe I could open the window. Due to all of the noise/activity in the back I was afraid to open the window. Can't beat the convenience of the location but would look for a much quieter place next time. Thank you for your time.

My room was large, comfortable and quiet. I parked my car for free on the street in front for five days. The location allows an easy walk to the subway, the bistros on R St Denis, the stores on Ste Catherine, and the attractions in the old port.

We arrived at 1:30 and were given a room that was being made up when others were available. There was a plumbing problem in the wall with the sound of water gushing, at first we thought this was someone upstairs having a shower, upon our return later that evening it was so loud we could not sleep and reported it to the front desk, he switched us rooms at 2am in the morning. Needless to say we did not sleep much. Breakfast, none left when we arrived and we did arrive before cut off time. Upon check out we advised the desk manager, he was not willing to listen but finally went upstairs to check, said it was someone having a shower but know one was above us and the problem was constant. After much protesting he decided to refund us 25.00 which was not adequate for what we went through. Not a very good first experience. Room 204 I suggest this problem be fixed before they assign someone else the same room.

Stayed at the Hotel Elegant during the 2011 F1 Grand Prix. Prices were jacked up as they were everywhere else. If you're not into to making a fashion statement, this hotel was clean, had a comfortable bed, free WiFi, free continental breakfast, a grocery store half a block away, and close proximity to downtown and the Metro. In other words, a really good location, and not a bad place to stay, unless you're trying to impress someone. Will probably stay there again for next year's Grand Prix.

Bare-bones budget hotel close to where we needed to be. Dated decor, TV up on top of a closet where it was almost unwatchable, bathroom looked like it had be redone somewhat recently. Plastic bag over the smoke detector and washcloth over one of the fire sprinklers would probably be an indication of a fire hazard or other tampering with safety devices, something the Fire Marshall should probably look into. In general an OK place to crash for the price, nothing special but also not disgusting.

If you are looking for an affordable option that is close to major attractions this may be an option for you. It is an older hotel, but was clean.

Super location. 3 minutes to central bus/metro station. By metro just minutes to Old Town and restaurants. Hotel and room in good order. Seemed safe. A/C worked fine - just have to know that the vents are opened by rotating center baffle. Would definitely do it again.

We chose this hotel both because of its price and locative relative to the event we were traveling to Montreal for (Kinetik Festival @ Usine C). I was apprehensive about our stay based on some reviews I'd read online about the hotel and the surrounding area. But, I was very pleased to find my worries relieved after just a short time at the hotel and walking around the neighborhood. The neighborhood reminds me quite of bit of San Francisco and it very pedestrian and bike friendly (including close access to Montreals bike rental system), and relatively close to downtown (we walked, but it was a bit of a journey). Other all the room was small, but clean and really quiet. The beds were hard, but I actually found that to be pretty comfortable. The front door to the hotel requires you to be buzzed in by the desk clerk who is at the desk 24/7. Every one of them I encountered was very friendly and I never had to wait for than a few seconds to get buzzed in, even very late at night. All in all a great value for people traveling to Kinetik Festival or other events in the mid town area of Montreal! We'll be booking here again next year if Kinetik stays at Usine C.

Ma conjointe et moi avons une nuit pour éviter de retourner à Joliette le même soir. Hôtel tranquille et prix abordable apprécié pour notre besoin ponctuel.

J'ai bouquer sur internet 60$ pour un samedi soir. Belle chambre propre, bon lit, bien isoler des bruits extérieur. Je vais y retourner sans esiter!

Les chambres ont une forte odeur de nettoyant... Air climatisé n'est pas ajustable alors il fait soit très chaud ou très froid, aucun endroit pour le stationnement, les stationnement très dispendieux dans le quartier de plus en soirée beaucoup de mendiants et de " bum" dans le secteur, c'est très peu rassurent

Dans l'ensemble moyen un peu bruyant. - L'emplacement: les fasts foods, l'épicerie, supérette,boutiques et transports publics ne sont pas loin. Le confort des chambres sont correctes.

Os preços dos hotèis na cidade eram altos, logo o custo-benefício valeu, já que o hotl tem excelente localização.

Lo mejor del hotel es su excelente ubicacion.

Idéalement placé près du noeud de transport Berri Uquam. Excellent rapport qualité prix.

bon accueil, chambre propre et confortable, petit dejeuner inclus et correct, tres bien pour le prix, je le conseille.
