PETERSEN VILLAGE INN - סולבנג

The Petersen Village Inn was exactly what I thoght it would be comfy and cozy just what we needed. My daughter is headed to Minnesota and we needed a little comfort time "Danish style" Solvang and the Petersen village did just that highley recommended

A lovely hotel, full of old world charm! We came to Solvang for its European flavor and the hotel was an integral part of the experience. The staff was so friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

It was convenient to Solvang. The room was clean but well-used and could benefit from refurnishing.

You may think you are walking back in time when you enter the yellowing flowered wall papered room. Ours had one chair by the window next to a table that seemed to be missing a second chair. No coffee maker, no refrigerator, old tv and the room attendant was late to work so no coffee room service in the morning. I thought I was paying full price on Hotels.com and they hit me for an additional 35$ at check out for ?? Taxes, room fees, parking? not sure. Bed was comfortable but for the price I paid, I wouldn't do it again. Too much for too little. I spent less at an oceanfront luxury hotel in Santa Barbara.

We asked for a quiet room and received a room on the inner courtyard which was perfect! This was the best place we have stayed in Solvang, which we visit every two to three years.

This was an awesome get-away!! Like being in Demark without having to leave the U.S. Spacious room with great courtyard view. Walking distance to downtown, mission, etc. Great European breakfast, served from 7-11a.m. with delicious Danish pastries, fresh cut fruit, hot hard boiled eggs, cheese, ham, etc. served in the dining room. Check-out is 1 p.m.!! Thomas Kincaid Gallery next door. Server brings you coffee or hot tea to your room. Would definitely stay again!!

The Petersen Village Inn is a slice of Old-World charm right in the heart of the Danish tribute town of Solvang. Quiet and cozy, the hotel has a great way of taking you back to a slower way of life. It doesn't matter that the TVs are old tube units or that there is no coffee maker in the room. This is about detaching from the fast-paced lives we live in the outside world and forcing ourselves to take a breath, to reconnect with what really matters. My future bride and I spent just one night here this time around, but it was a perfect getaway spot. The staff was cordial and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was delicious and served by the most attentive servers I've seen in years. How often do you say that about modern service? Highly recommended although it's not a cheap place to stay and doesn't have some of the more modern touches some have come to expect from upscale hotels.

Enjoyed it. Nice people. Good service. TV rather old fashioned but not really important.

I was excited when I saw how great my room looked.I was impressed with the greeting we got from Adam and April who were at the front desk they were awesome. The young men that brought us coffee to our room were friendly and courteous . We ate at the restaurant on site one night and it was phenomenal as was the service. I will always have fond memories of that weekend thanks to the staff at the Peterson hotel.

The hotel is lovely and the people who work there are both helpful and friendly. However, the bed was rock hard making it very difficult to sleep. The fireplace was a very nice addition.

Great location, super friendly staff. Good continental breakfast included with great pastries from local Danish bakery.

Our stay was great yeas imPressed with the cleanliness of the place, however there was one slight mistake when the hotel was booked. I asked the person with a room for two beds and when we arrived it had only one :(. That was a huge dissapointment.

We were not in the mail hotel but I can say that the garden rooms were delightful! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony and a fountain outside that could be heard all day and night... We really liked that! I would come here again!

The staff was outstanding in all capacities. The desk staff, bell hop and wait staff all made us feel well cared for and comfortable. The room was charming and well appointed. The continental breakfast, served in the beautiful sunny restaurant, was a great way to start the day. The waitress there was very attentive. Everything we needed was accommodated cheerfully. I could not have been happier.

Although we were there only one night, we will certanly stay at Peterson.s next time we visit Solvang. The hotel was quiet, clean and the staff was helpfull and friendly. Can't go wrong staying there. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very quaint and cute with a small feel appeal. The subtle differences such as a hard key versus the normal coded cards for your room, the beverage and ice service to your room, and the views make it very appealing. The bed was very comfortable, room spacious enough, and the bathroom was adequate. The location is the very center of Solvang. You are within walking distance of everything except for things like the ostrich farm and miniature horse farm.

By far this is be best hotel in Solvang. I have stayed at many motels and hotels in Solvang an none of them compare to the Peterson Village Inn. Not only are the rooms really nice, but there were so many added perks. For example the free breakfast, free wine tasting at a number of tasting rooms in the city, and the location can't be beat. Definately you should check this place out.

My wife and I do an annual half-marathon in Solvang every year and we always stay at the Peterson Village Inn. The rooms are extremely nice. Nicer than what they actually charge! The hotel is also placed right in the hub of the village, everything is walking distance! I can't rate this place high enough!

Great Hotel!!! Nice location. Family owned operation. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Central to the city. Awesome and free wine tastings just a couple blocks away with a voucher that the hotel provides. Great hotel for the price!! (Go to the Paula's Pancake House for Breakfast - across the street from hotel - AWESOME BREAKFAST. The best pancakes we ever had!!!)

This hotel was very clean and charming in a traditional Danish way. The bathroom was a bit dated, but in good repair and clean. The service was excellent; a very attentive staff. The complimentary breakfast buffet was copious in the northern European tradition. Nice place.

The hotel room was more than what i expected. Very clean and comfortable. The patio with a view was another plus. I would highly recomend this play to anyone visiting Solvang.
