Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, located on a main street not far from the airport. Toilet ran on and off all night long, that is our only complaint.

Me and my wife found this motel online, one review said it lookslike a motel 6 on the outside but like a higher end hotel on the inside. We couldn't agree more. Everything was very nice, rooms have been updated and remodeled very nicely. Beds are very comfortable and not cheap, wore out models. Would recommend this motel to anybody staying in the area.

The outside appearance of the hotel is not great. However, the room itself was spacious, clean and the bed was really comfortable. I would recommend it to family and friends.

The outside of this place looks like a motel 6 but when you enter one of the rooms it looks like a luxury hotel chain. The linens on the bed had some ink stains on them but nothing that made me think they were dirty but they are made of an odd material. The AC worked, it doesn't stay on constantly but it kept the room comfortable even if it wasn't the temperature I had set. The shower looks great and was clean the shower head had great pressure. Water temperature was the same as the AC, comfortable but not as hot as you would like it to be. Lastly the fridge and microwave are great touches but I wasn't sure that the fridge was on and there was no way to make the fridge colder. All in all a good visit, I've stayed the night in better and worse places and this one was on the better side.

The walls are paper thin; you can hear the guests next door clearly. Third day of my stay, there was a wild party going on in the room below until 2:30 am and nothing was done about it.

The room was comfortable and surprisingly well appointed. When you see the outside of the hotel you would definately not think so. Good diner next door.

The hotel is old but clean and comfortable.

only issue was the outside noise. We had someone yelling at 4:30am to tell the staff to open up the door.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times. Our fist experience was really great. Everything was nice and clean, the bed was VERY comfortable, and their were no noise problems. This las time however, was not as good. There were stain splatters on the wall both in the bed area and in the bathroom. I don't know if they could have been removed or not with a cleaning solution but they were disgusting. The carpet next to the walls has a build up of dirt/dust that could easily be cleaned with a vacuum attachment. The carpets themselves could have used a good cleaning as well. The first night the sheets were covered with nubs which made them very scratchy. The next night they were fine. There was food garbage left outside the door of the room next to us and it was there for two days which was causing a fly problem. The people next to us were smoking out side their room and we had to walk through their smoke to get to our non-smoking room. They should never have a smoking room next to a non-smoking room. The oder still gets into the non-smoking room which in my case causes headaches. I used to really like this place but now I'm not so sure.

it was a nice stay overall.

very basic but satisfactory motel, good location and decent breakfast. free internet.

I had to stay in Burbank for two nights and didn't want to spend $200 for a room close the airport. The Portofino is a great alternative. It looks like a Motel 6 on the outside but is upgraded in the rooms with flat screen TV, new beds, a decent bath and green toiletries. I'd stay there again

very good location, great room and extremely nice people to work with.

Clean, safe, friendly staff and in a great spot. If you want a nice place to stay in this area that won't bust your budget, this is it. I have stayed at many of the hotels close to this and Portofino Inn is actually nicer than even some of the more expensive chain hotels which are a lot more expensive.

Room was nice and comfortable. A quiet neighborhood with very little noise. Close to universal studios and a shopping area. I would definitely suggest this hotel to others.

It was fine.

Don't let the outside fool ya. The room was updated, extremely clean and smelled really good. The owner was so nice and totally accomodating. Quiet, only noises we heard were sirens and nothing you can do about that. What a pleasant surprise

We caught a laker game and this hotel was about 15 min away. This was a nice place for the money. Room was clean, decent sized. Had fridge and microwave. Guy running the place was super friendly and helpful. Not in a ghetto part of town so we felt safe staying there. Couple of malls nearby that you don't even need to get on the freeway for.

Hotel was ok. No hot water in shower . When asked front desk guy told me other guests must have used it all up. Other than that it was ok. Looks better from inside.

We looked for something safe and reasonable in the Hollywood-Burbank area since we were doing something is both towns and were happily surprised with the Portofino. Most of the Hollywood 2 or even 3 star inns and motel reviews had concerns about parking and the surrounding neighborhood but the reviews for this motel seemed very good so we booked it. The parking was very good with most units having parking directly in front of their rooms that were easy to drive into and wide enough to easily get in and out of your vehicle . The neighborhood though a bit busy seemed safe. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

it was very pleasant and comfortable . rooms were very well keeped and clean. would i stay there again? YES

Great location! Easy drive to Universal and other Hollywood sites. Lots of restaurants a short drive away. Great place for the price.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are all very nice and clean in this updated motel. I will definitely stay here again especially considering the great rates for that area. And it's close to many good restaurants and downtown Burbank. Free parking!!

It met my requirements.

Everything was good to excellent for a two star hotel, meaning we've stayed at nicer but of course paid way more too. The location, Olive Avenue, is a busy street but its proximity to really everything (i.e. Burbank Mall, Universal, Warner Bros, Los Angeles without being deep in the crazy) was nice! The staff was nice and really the only 'complaint' would be the bed was a bit stiff and noisy, but that maybe because we're used to our sleep number bed... highly recommend.

The location on Olive street gives excellent access to freeways into LA, Close to downtown, also.

The customer service was phenomenal. There was a slight mix up in the room assignment, but the hotel's manager went well out of his way to apologize (almost excessively/to a fault). While the unexpected degree of apologies was not particularly necessary, it did give me the impression that they care very much about customer service, which for me, is the most important element of any business/consumer exchange. It gives me the impression that they don't cut corners, which when you're really looking for a place to sleep for the night, is the most important. Not much in terms of amenities, or local food options (Subway across the street), but for a place to crash for the night (for me, before taking an early morning flight from Burbank) it's a much better value than one of the chain hotels near the airport.

The hotel is centrally located, clean, and comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed for 2 days the personnel were very friendly and kind. The rooms were clean and its close to everything.

Very clean hotel, small but very nice. The room was great, clean and comfy. The people running the hotel were very accommdating, had no clock but within minutes this very nice young man was at the door with clock in hand, he even took time to set it with time and alarm. Big hotels do not do this. I will go back.

Needed a quick place to stay due to termite fumigation. This was close by, in good shape and reasonably priced. I was pleased with my choice.

My flight got cancelled and had to stay overnight in Burbank. I found this hotel and not only saved money, but got a nice room for the money!

It was quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and updated. The location is convenient with good shopping and restaurants galore. All in all, a pleasant stay at a fair price considering the prices of hotels in this area. It served our needs to a T. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, or to recommend it to a friend.
