The Liberty is a unique and top flight hotel. It is closely located to many interesting sights and wonderful eating establishments. The view of the river is spectacular!

has it all - professional staff, historic building, comfortable rooms, top notch restaurants and bars, great location - can't wait to return on my next trip to boston

We stayed at the Liberty for a quick 2-day visit to Boston and thought this hotel was fantastic. Be sure to watch the history of the conversion from Jail to luxury hotel on the TV in your room! Our main mode of transportation was the subway and this location was perfect - right across the street from a RED line stop. Very comfortable room, large bathroom, increbily friendly staff, and a very interesting background story on the building - all in all, a wonderful place to stay. Would defintely come again and book at this hotel.

I can't believe this hotel was less expensive than other options near-by. It's a showstopper. I had a great time staying here and it really seemed to be a hot spot in the area. Excellent service. They accommodated my late check out and welcomed me with champagne. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel history that was playing on the TV upon entering the room was really interesting and well done.

A night out with my Husband & it was Fabulous!! Everything we wanted was within walking distance! The hotel and the Staff were amazing. Sending an extra shout out to Patrick and Jeremy. Thanks again Liberty!

The Liberty is my new favorite hotel in Boston......convenient to shopping, the Boston Common, close to Beacon Hill......

spend good time

Could not have been more perfect. Absolutely gorgeous and super cool hotel. Location is fabulous - not right in the heart of the action, but close to the beautiful Charles River and an easy walk to everywhere.

Really friendly staff. Great room. Classy place. Food at Scampo was delicious.

The staff was totally unaccommodating about the fact that they had a huge techno party with extremely loud music in the lobby that went on til 2AM. It sounded like a nightclub in my hotel room. When i complained, they apologized that they couldn't turn the music down at all, but they also couldn't move my room because they were fully booked. Worst night stay at a hotel I've ever had.

I usually stay at the Westin or W and thought I would try this luxury collection hotel from SPG...the lobby is pretty impressive as it was once an old jailhouse but that's about it. Service wasn't what you would expect with SPG; carpet in room stained, furniture scratched, scratchy towels. Restaurant on site also not great - tried both and found them to be expensive and not very good.

Loved the location, restaurants, hotel room. However the cleanliness of my room left a lot to be desired (hair on the bathroom floor, not even mine, bath tub dusty, lot of dust behing the towels underneath the sink, etc.) I had to complain twice. They also encourage clients to not have their room cleaned everyday by offering a $5 voucher to one of their restaurants.

super cool historic renovation of prison in prestigious Beacon Hill; welcoming champagne for my wife and myself; great lobby with fashion show the night we arrived; wonderful Sunday brunch..next to public transportation; easy walk to attractions; right along Charles River..all good!

This was a beautiful hotel with great service, and free champagne upon check in! It's right next to Mass General Hospital and the only negative I could find is that it isn't that close to the touristy areas (although they're definitely within walking distance).

The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding from the valet to the doorman to the front desk. Thank you

For starters, this is an old jail. And the builders actually kept the original architecture of the jail! The bars and restaurant are all themed - Clink, Alibi, the Yard. Rooms are definitely luxurious with the stand up shower and the soaking tub. And Molton Brown products!?!? Views are of the city and the Charles. If you like to run, the river is outside the door. Walk to Boston Commons in under 10 minutes through the picturesque Beacon Hill. Did I mention the Welcome complimentary glass of champagne? Starwood Luxury Collection at a price we can all afford - thanks Hotels.com.

The staff was very informative of the area and super nice! I loved that we were right on Charles St. which took you to Beacon Hill and to the Freedom trail! I love how much history the hotel has! There are 3 bars and 2 restaurants that are awesome! The locals actually come to the hotel to hang out!! I would recommend anyone who comes to Boston to stay at the Liberty Hotel!!

Other hotels should use The Liberty for training on how to treat there guest. Details to every need of a guest was above expectations. Place was great I will stay there again and recommend u do the same !!

Very nice hotel. Very lively lobby with after hours young adult influx. Was given a room with rollaway bed instead of two queen beds. That was a nuisance.

Drove by 3 times ... Small sign but loved it once we got there!

Fun hotel and lively at the weekend; did not disturb me though. Room was lovely with view over the river. The facilities were great, including a proper hairdryer and separate bath and shower. The staff were friendly. Would have liked coffee making facilities and discovered close to end of stay that these are available on request. The room service food is not as good as the restaurant - my dessert (Boston Cream Pie) was partially defrosted.

everything was great and cant wait to hear about promotions and deals so i can come back. want to be a loyal customer for life. I have a billing issue that is getting taken care of. if it gets taken care of ill being staying at all starwood hotels from now on.

Location is great; Tstop right across the street, plenty of restaurants within walking distance plus the restaurants in the hotel itself. Room was nicely furnished and fairly large with a big bathroom. The view of the city at night put this room over the top, definitely ask to get a room facing the skyline. The concierge was super friendly and didn't bat an eyelash at upgrading my room to one facing the city; in fact everyone I talked to at the hotel was professional and helpful. We got a great rate by checking the various hotel sites and ended up with a king size deluxe room with a view for $199 in a classy hotel.

This is my family's and my new favorit hotel in Boston. This is a first class hotel. All aspects of the every service in this hotel is well thought out and impeccable. We mentioned to the young lady who checked us in that we were celebrating my nephew's 21st Birthday. The following day at brunch they presented him with dessert with a candle in it so we celebrated once again. Before having a Birthday dinner we met in the Lobby Lounge and there were quite a number of us. The wait staff immediately made sure we all had comfortable chairs and were together. This hotel is in a great location--across from the "T" for easy access if you don't want to drive to other parts of the city or taxis are readily available to take you where you want to go. They have great restaurants in the hotel and their brunch "Bloody Mary Bar" is the best. I've stayed in many hotels and never have seen something like that. This hotel has great history behind it too. Great hotel--will definitely stay at the Liberty Hotel next time in Boston.
