PASSPORT INN SOMERS POINT - Somers Point

We were comfortable, and it worked out very well for an affordable hotel. Rooms were clean, and the diner next store is open 24 hrs which was excellent as we had arrived late. Tight parking in a small lot is probably our only complaint. It's around the corner from an intersection, but far enough away that it was quiet and we slept good for two nights. Not much around for walking, other than across the street to view the bay.

Great location. Walking distance to variety of bars and nice restaurants.

Very economical for the Jersey Shore, recently rentovated, nice place to stay.

Although my husband and I were satisfied, the room had a cigarette smell. It was a nice day so we opened the window to air it out. I think it was in the curtains. I would stay again. I liked the conveniece of being able to walk to three (3) different places to eat without crossing the road!

I read all the reviews prior to going. You need to take your own towels if you are staying for a long time, which I did. The hotels is right off the bridge. Traffic wasn't too bad and side streets made it easy to turn around. The hotel has parking in front which is tight. But I found out they have parking in the back which is easier if your concerned about the tight spaces. Wasn't that bad. It's not a 4 star hotel but for the price and location it is a nice place and the owners are nice.

Pros: 5 minute drive to beach & boardwalk, good food at the diner next door, convenient location. Cons: rooms a bit musty and the air conditionners don't seem to dehumidify so the two rooms we had were always a bit too warm and damp, to the point that wet clothes and towels were not able to dry even after 2 days. This hotel is ok if you are just looking for a cheap place to sleep. If you want to be able to relax and prep meals in your room, this is not the place for you. Tips: if you plan to stay at this hotel but want to travel outside of Somers Point/Ocean City (e.g. Atlantic City, Wildwood, Cape May and shop/dine in nearby towns make sure to bring a few rolls of quarters as there are several tolls and there never seems to be anyone working at the cash booth so exact change or a Fast Pass is required. Posted pool hours are 10:00am to 8:00pm but the management was very flexible and allowed us to use it outside those hours.

Clean, bare bones motel and reasonable in price. Convenient to Ocean City and good restaurants in Somers Point.

The motel exceeded my expectations of cleanliness, and the bathroom has clearly been recently remodeled. Thin walls, could hear our neighbors, but that was ok. We did not get in the pool, but it looked clean as well. Location is very convenient.

This hotel was the worst that we had ever stayed in. It was rated as a top hotel on tripadvisor, and while I understood that this was not a four or five star hotel, I did not expect it to be a 0-1 star. The room was a smoking room- which was not ideal to us, but they told us it was all they had (even though we only saw one other traveller while we were there)... Maybe they should consider having more 'non smoking rooms'. So when we got in the room it obviously smelt horrible. Luckily the window opened (although the shades were held together by clothespins. The bed was as hard as a rock with two hard pillows, the tv did not work at all, and there was a moldy smell in the bathroom. We would not recommend this place to anyone. My husband says the best part was the diner next door.

Small motel located at a major crossroads. Lots of road construction currently going on. Definitely a one star hotel. Cheap linens and small thin towels. We had to ask for more, which they did bring promptly. Overall clean but I don't think I would stay there again.

conveniently located for Ocean City, NJ but hotel parking is limited and tight. Just ok for an overnight stay if spending most of time at beach or boardwalk.

totally fine standard cheap motel room. smallish beds. basically clean and well maintained. sort of exactly what you might expect from a random hotel you found off the internet, which is to say, nothing fancy, nothing terrible.

It was a little motel right off the bridge to OCNJ, for the price I couldn't complain. The room wasn't exactly perfect, but there were clean sheets and the room didn't stink. You only get 2 towels and that sucked, but we were there for a 3 day beach vacation not a stay in the room vacation

This motel was clean and comfortable, but the service was second rate at best. The housekeeping girl seemed to speak almost no English, and the office staff was little better. Not enough clean towels were put out, and no bath mat. Late at night there were not nearly enough parking spaces for all of the units, and several guests were forced to find parking in neighboring lots. The advertised WiFi service was not available, and the television did not work. Even the room key-card did not open the door every time. The bottom line here -- you get what you pay for.

The hotel room was very clean, the bathrooms are beautifully renovated and new. The pool is nice but the hours are at prime beach/boardwalk time (10-8). The cable tv did not work. The location is convenient, right on the circle before the bridge with several restaurants in walking distance. Great location for the price!

The Hotel was in a great location, the staff was friendly, and I would definitely recommend it to my family & friends!

The price is reasonable given its close location to Ocean City. The room is relatively clean with two exceptions, sewer flies in the bathroom and the stuffy smell (partly smelling like cleaning agent) when the AC is not running.

Let's start by saying I was given the wrong room. The manager said that he'd give me the room I ordered the next day, but ended up selling it to someone else instead, taking back his promise, and giving me attitude about it. Then let's start with the insane construction going on that makes the place look ghetto. Then the internet router they had was a cheap brand with bad range. The wifi bars were either 1 bar or no signal at all, going in and out the entire time. Even after seeing if resetting their router would work, it didn't. Everything I needed to get done on my laptop was never finished. After the dirtiness of the hotel, the attitude about the promised room, and the lack of internet, I left after one night and checked into a different hotel.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep (without a lot of bells and whistles) close to Ocean City, the Passport Inn will do. The exterior has an appealing color scheme. The room interior is rather dated and dingy, but very clean. Mini fridge and microwave were a plus. There is a diner located right next door. My expectations were not high, so I was not particularly disappointed for my one night stay.
