Either I got lucky and my experience was rare, or this really is a thrifty gem. The rooms were spotless -- they apparently had just been redone before I arrived. Brand new furniture. Super comfortable bed. HDTV. A surprisingly amazingly comfortable shower! And very friendly front desk staff. If I had a complaint, it's a small one -- my room didn't have any easily accessible outlets. Had to pull out the bed a little to plug in my laptop. If you want to tour wine country on the cheap, stay here.

The fellow at the desk was very nice and helpful. However our first room was dirty, the frig wasn't clean and furniture looked dusty. He changed us to another room upstairs which was larger and looked a lot better. However, I initially saw a small roach on the wall, but that's life in a country environment. The beds were comfortable and actually ended up being a decent place to stay for a weekend wine tasting trip.

Beds were very comfortable. Good place to stay if you are looking for a place to stay for a reasonable rate. Clean rooms (except for shower curtain). Down fall is that it's a bit noisy.

Rooms are a bit small but the service is awesome.

loved the way room was kept clean. staff was accomodating. would stay there again.

Room was ok for the price. It was clean and the continental breakfast was very nice. Only complaint was the water in the bathroom never really got hot. Lukewarm at best , hopefully they adjust that But for the price not bad at all !!

The rooms are small and not well appointed. First floor rooms are very noisy especially if someonr is overhead. Gas station next door was robbed at gunpoint one night during the stay. Had an emergency change in plans after three nights and hotel would not forgive the night 4 billing. Never again Travelodge.

The recent upgrade was suprisingly classy for a motel. Rooms (our group had 5 rooms) were clean with plantation blinds, crown molding, new heat/air units, flat screen TV, great stone tiled bathroom, nice bedding ( a light weight blanket would have been nice). Rooms with one bed had a table and chairs. Rooms with 2 beds felt overcrowded, othewise great. Staff was friendly and helpful but more information on places to eat would have been appreciated.

Small rooms with mid range flat screen TV. But it had refrig and microwave.

Looks like this hotel was recently updated. We found it to be very satisfactory and stayed another night on our return through Lompoc. The room was clean and cheerful. Nothing to complain about. Breakfast was usually hotel fare.

loved it and clerk was super nice a informative will return and loved the rate for such a awesome room

Had a great time (much too short) the accommodation were good & service pleasant & professional. Room was clean. The only issue is the plastic cover on the mattress made too much noise every time you moved.

The room was clean but the comforter and some of the pilowcases were dirty. The room smelled like something when my husband and I first walked in and we could not identify what it was. The linens on the bed smelled like they hadn't been washed in a while and when they were washed they were placed on the bed still wet; it smelled old and mildewy! Gross! For one night it was passable. I would never stay here again

Not the prettiest motel from the outside, but the rooms are very nice and new. The bathroom was very pretty, almost like in a luxury hotel. It was ok for the price we paid. Not far away from the wineries in the Santa Rita Hills, Lompoc itsself is not a highlight though. Breakfast is not worth mentioning.

Reasonable price and comforted room. especially the temperature of pool is good. I was enjoy until 9 p.m.!! very kind employee too!!

It was a bad hotel, don't go there!

My wife, 2 year old child and I were surprised by the updated decor; finding out later the hotel was renovated just recently. The room was exceptionally clean and the bedding & bath towels were both soft, unlike the sandpaper texture that some of us who travel are used to. We slept quite well without the itching of bed bugs and the bed was quite soft & comfortable (without the sagging feeling of an old bed). The pool, which we didn't have a chance to use, appeared to be crystal clean and the overall appearance of the property was impressive as it was all well kept & clean as well. The parking was ample and we were able to park directly in front of our room on both days, thanks to the fact that it appeared the guests were spread out throughout the property; allowing for privacy and peace & quiet without having to hear the guests next door. The front desk staff were courteous & professional. Overall we were impressed & would stay here again.

This hotel seemed to be right in the middle of a renovation when we stayed there (June 8, 2012). Our room was almost done, but not quite, so a lot of the power outlets didn't work, etc. The bathroom looked almost finished and was nice. It was a clean room, but the pool was very dirty. Our room faced the street, and it was very noisy, and the door was not properly finished, so cold air blew all around the door frame. The staff were very friendly and accomodating as much as they could be. For ALC: this hotel is one of the closest, but still not really walkable with large bags. Also, the taxi services in this town up their prices and charge high flat rates so plan accordingly.

The room smelled so bad when we walked in we had to open the windows and door. Also, the breakfast room was not open in the morning at the time stated.

No replace coffee packets, new clean glasses and coffee cups, dirty towels left in bathroom.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was ok. The room was small, but big enough, and clean. The continental breakfast was terrible. Not even worth going to, unless you just want coffee and toast.

The hotel was cheap and I wasn´t expecting too much, but it was great, clean room and batchroom, a confortable bed and a high-speed internet that really works fast! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, all I can say is ......sleep in your car, you would fare better.

stayed two weekends the first weekend they put us in a room in the back of the motel not nice.second weekend put us in a room at the front of the motel a lot nicer seemed it had had a few renovations done. stayed here last year and the breakfast was a lot better than this year seems they have cut corners. for the price its o.k.

Hotel has made an effort to update and make more comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The accomodations are clean, but the furniture could be updated. My table in the room had a leg that was ready to fall off. Not a problem, but an indication that the hotel is old.

Room was very crowded. Should have had only one bed instead of two. Motel is south east of town, but not really a problem getting back into town to eat.

Hotel is nice and clean, staff is friendly. This is a great value I stayed for multiple weeks and had no problems or complaints. I recommend it for any business traveler.

We spent the night on this hotel while on our way to Solvang. It isn't close to the Danish Village but since we were coming from the south, this was a good place to spent the night before heading there and a decent proce for a good motel.

Hot and cold knobs on the sink and shower were reversed, so cold was hot and vise versa. Bathroom door would stick so bad I thought I was going to rip the door knob off every time. Beds were comfortable though. What you should expect for the price overall.
