Nice, well cared for hotel that we expected to find.

The front desk staff, bartender (John), and the afternoon shuttle driver were amazing! They were so helpful and friendly. The hotel restaurant’s food was fantastic. My only gripes were, the valet saw me park and he waited for me to get out of my car and unload my own luggage. My hands were very full and I would have appreciated his help. The room was very hot. The room did not keep a consistent temperature. The TV remote did not work. I left a note for the housekeeper and they never fixed it. There was hair and spots on the comforter. The gift/snack shop was never conveniently opened. When it was opened, the attendant spent most of her time talking on the phone. I did not know if she was talking to the person or me on the phone. It was very rude. In addition, what hotel does not have vending machines! Every time I wanted a soda, I had to go down stairs to the shop and wait for her to come back. It was very inconvenient. I would have rated the hotel lower, if I did not have a great experience with the front desk staff, John, and the afternoon shuttle driver.

The hotel itself was nice and was a decent price but the parking was confusing. There is no direction and after my husband and I parked in the garage we were yelled at by a parking attendant who said that we could not park there and it was valet only. It was our first time there Nd we had no idea about the parking regulations. The man was very rude and put us in a bad mood for our anniversary weekend:(

My wife and I use 'fine' to describe experiences that are not terrible, but they still suck in one way or another. The hotel overall was very nice-looking, the room clean, and the bed comfortable. The food in the restaurant wasn't bad either. A couple problems we ran into: first, Internet access (for which there is an hourly or daily charge) did not work on our devices. I called their tech support line and the guy was very condescending to me (fyi, I am a tech professional). He was unable to fix the problem so told me he would escalate the problem to second level support. No one ever called back. Second, the airflow in the room was very week and although the thermostat read 68, it felt stuffy. It is a fair walking distance to the King Street Metro. Not bad, if you are in shape and the weather is good. Otherwise, you will have to cab it. Not very many restaurants in the close surrounding area, but lots on King Street.

Fancy hotel and fancy costs.. valet parking only at 26/day plus tips to retrieve the vehicle. No coffee in lobby just stale room maker. No continental breakfast. had to walk across street to starbucks early to get good coffee. Had to walk several blocks to metro. Clean and nice hotel but not our style.

Conveniently located in Old Town Alexandria. A short walk to the King Street metro station and King Street for shopping, dining and the harbour front. Hotel lives up to the Westin brand - nice, clean and comfortable. We were located on the exec floor and therefore offerred complimentary breakfast. Be sure to get to the lounge before 9:30am and taken whatever you wish to eat before 9:30am as the attendant will discard the scrambled eggs without asking if you want to have any! Do not expect any apologies from her either! I would stay there again.

The hotel was beautiful, great location lots of good restaurants nearby. There was also a shuttle to take you around. The room was just a bit small but I did have a crib in the room. Only bad thing now microwave or fridge. The continental breakfast was oatmeal and fruit.

Nice place to stay. The little things bothered me are parking cost, internet cost and breakfast cost.

My mom and aunt enjoyed their stay here. The staff was very friendly, professional, and welcoming.

I've stay at this location 3 times within 1 month and I've been well beyond pleased everytime. From the decor, front desk staff , cleanliness & comfort of the rooms # you wont be disappointed

The staff was friendly, professional and attentive.

In general is OK . Bed is good. Employee is nice . However the hotel cost is 209 $ per night but no shower cap, cotton bud for guest. I have to ask for it. There is also only 1 restaurant in the hotel.

1 bad thing was unloading my bags myself after being check-in. I still love the service and stay at the Westin......I would return

Stayed on business, and couldn't of asked for anything more. Perfect location for my meetings, restaurant is good, breakfast at club level, etc.

What a great place! We stayed here as a midpoint on our trip, so we got here late and left early. The first thing we noticed was how wonderful it smelled. Everyone was super nice and helpful, even at 12:30 in the morning. Our room was comfortable and clean. We used the pool in the morning, which was very warm...a treat!

Very quiet. Had to wait for somonee to check me in since no one around. Great deal. not as nice as other westons

I was only in town overnight to visit friends. Got a great deal on Hotels.com. This was close to everything, The food in the bar was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful with everything I needed: parking my car, calling my taxi, retrieving my car, check-in/out... all was done quickly and easily. Hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Bathroom cleanliness was so-so. No free Internet in rooms. View is of inner courtyard roof or street. Not worth price but reasonable value nonetheless.

Very enjoyable, couldn't ask for a nicer room.

Staff was very helpful with all requests. Workout room is spacious with well maintained machines. Shuttle & valet service were excellent. In room Starbucks is a big plus but the breakfast is pricey in the restaurant. Tabletop restaurant is nearby and much more reasonable.

No refrig or microwave in room. Would have been better if they were in room.

Not so clean for the price of the of hotel room. Overall the neighborhood area was wonderful.

The staff was very accomadating. The shuttle van took us to various stops and offered several suggestions. Although Hurricane Sandy was on it's way to the area, the staff was calm and professional.

Spent two nights at the Westin in Alexandria for a weekend getaway. Great hotel! The staff was super nice and very accommodating. Rooms were clean and well maintained. It is a little off the beaten path to the Metro, expect a 10 minute walk and not much in the surrounding area for restaurants. But if you're willing to walk to Metro then you're good. Only real complaint would be that you have to pay for Internet access, which is ridiculous considering this is a high end hotel. Free Wifi should be a given Westin! Also be aware that parking is $24 per day but it is valet and it's nice to know your car is in a secure garage.

Great hotel... however, don't be deceived by low ball pricing. They charge extra for everything, starting with parking at $26 per night! Fortunately, toilet paper was included.
