Lofts du Vieux-Port - מונטריאול

Awesome location and great view. Let's get that out of the way. However, I was suprised I didn't stay in the main hotel and the unit didn't look like the photos you're sold on. Apparantly they own another building on St. Paul which is one street back from the river. The view was still good and I enjoyed the location, but it simply wasn't what I was expecting. The unit could have been cleaned more. I fount two huge beattles. You have to be wary of all the taxes that get added to your bill. Get used to it. All in all I still liked the hotel. I'd recommend it, but just don't expect a river view and a two story loft.

Bookended a week in Qubec City with nights here. Good place for those wanting a kitchen for dining in. The lumpy sofa bed and very low quality LAN connection were tolerable. But the failed temperature controls made sleeping difficult our second night. Staff valiantly, though unsuccessfully, tried to repair these issues. Bottom line: make sure to secure two real beds ... or two desperate rooms ... or another hotel.

Wish I had known that the lofts were actually scattered around the area rather than in a single building and that there was a very long haul up stairs (no elevator) to my unit. The loft was very clean, well set up and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for me the number of stairs to my unit on the 4th floor was just more than I want to deal with. I was also surprised that there was no housekeeping room makeup daily. I would consider staying there again only if I were guaranteed a room on a lower level.

will go back, perfect location in the city... room was nice just on a fourth floor of a building with no elevators which became a pain.... service was great, rooms clean, and delicious creme brulee from steakhouse lol

they ran out of hot water the heater was not working properly the condition of the hotel was not good doors broken and was too old pictures looked so much nicer than it did in person

The lofts are beautiful and comfortable. It is a nice location within walking distance of old port, restaurants and shops. Service was efficient and friendly. We did not mind the steps and were on the top floor. For those not in shape they may be an issue. The two negatives we encountered was that there was a sky light in one of the bedrooms and there was ample noise from the street below and loft below on the Saturday night we were there. The noise from the street did not abate until about 4am and we were then kept awake because of a loud child staying in the loft below us.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise and experience. The staff was very friendly and brought us right to our loft in another location. The loft was extremely clean and was in an excellent location for a night out in Old Montreal. With full kitchen, a spa bathroom and king size bed, we will be using this location again for a longer term stay.

A very wonderful experience with a terrific front desk staff and great service. The room was very rustic and is a wonderful change fom the cookie cutter accomodations of the large chain hotels. This is a must do at least once with a great unbeatable location. Music from the bars in the area can be loud, but depending on what time your expecting to arrive from your night out, and what floor your on, it wont affect you. Furthermore, it's a family run business which should be supported.

The room was very loud. You could hear all the street noise, down to the smallest things like people just talking. But overall it was a great place to stay, great location and the bed....wow! Comfy :)

Hosted friends from UK and US and found the Lofts the perfect place to stay in Old Montreal. Rooms were great. Service was outstanding. Breakfast next morning was not only excellent but reasonably priced. Merci!

This was amazing and the Italian restaurant downstairs was excellent. This was a great experience. You need to turn over your car for valet parking $28.00.

Our loft was on top of a restaurant which only stopped play live music around 2:30 am very noisy if you're a light sleeper

From the time of arrival, to my request for an accommodation, all the way to departure, my stay was impeccable. The luxury loft I rented was spectacular.

Nice room - 2 flight walk up. Great location. Woman at the front desk was wonderful - knew the area well and was very helpful.

The loft was great. Well located and well appointed. The service from the hotel staff (Auberge du Vieux-Port) was outstanding. I highly recommend it.

In the center of Vieux Port Montreal. Close to Cathedral Notre Dame, and good restaurants. Great receptionist, clean neat and beautiful lofts. Sound insulation is not that good though, so NOT the place for parties and gatherings (they kicked us out, though we weren't noisy), hahaha. For parties go to Loft Hotel on Saint Denis.

There was only air conditioning in the public areas, none in the bedrooms. The bedroom doors had windows in them? Most if not all of the lights had broken switches. There was a nightclub on the second floor (by the way the loft is a third floor walkup) so you could hear/feel the thump, thump, thump of the bass until 3am.

Walking up several flights of stairs due to lack of an elevator is not fun after you do it once. Location next to a bar where music is played until twelve midnight, one and once until 3 am is awful. The staff was very accommodating but the stairs and the incredible noise until late at night is enough for me not to repeat my stay. No dishwasher, limited amenities. Not a good value all in all. My advice is to stay in a traditional hotel.

We were expecting a "room" and got a suite. We had kitchen facilities, living area and washer/dryer. Everything in the suite was new and VERY clean. All of the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The auberge is located on the main historic walking area in Montreal and only a short walk from attractions and subway. That was great. The only negative aspect was that our suite was on the fourth floor of a building across from the main building and there was no elevator. The bell men carried the luggage up and down, but everytime we went out we had to walk up all the steps. If stairs are an issue, request a room in the main building where there is an elevator.

Lofts du Vieux-Port is a novel stay in the center of old Montreal. Our loft had the format of a generously sized studio apartment with European flair and urban decor. Each unit appears to be individually furnished and decorated; no institutionalized sameness here. That said, we would have appreciated learning our studio was a three floor walk-up before we got there. And while the CD player was a nice touch, it would have been far more impressive had it actually played our CD's. A little soap bar helped loosen the dresser drawers, and after that we were able to enjoy our floor to ceiling windows. In all, baring the little inconveniences we enjoyed our stay and he great location.

You can't really go wrong here. Beautiful hotel in a great location. Only drawback would be the lack of wifi in the room itself. Other than that, I'd highly recommend it.

We stayed here for two nights with our dog , March 21 and 22 .We could not have been happier with the accomodations. Beautiful, cozy room with a fully equipped kitchen. There was a very inviting fireplace but we did not use it because the weather was unseasonably warm! But maybe next time! :-) It is located right in the heart of Old Montreal and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful stay and we have recommended these beautiful lofts to others. Thank You!

The loft was beautiful and the location was perfect! The night life was fun and the local restaurants had great food. Nice to stay at a place were everything is in walking distance.

Having stayed in the main Auberge a few years back [and loved it] we were excited to rent one of their lofts just around the corner. The good: great location very spacious accommodations nice linens great valet service hotel barmaid was very nice - prices were fair The bad: terrible, outdated faucets, counter tops etc [old & kind of gross] broken coffee pot, stereo was dismantled I had to rewire, minimal glasses, no sponge or dishtowels etc. had to carry ice & such from main hotel as there wasn't any access to our loft several attempts to log onto internet before we were given correct code the biggest problem was that our wakeup call never came & we almost missed dinner reservations we had planned our entire trip around! at check out there were charges that we had to dispute such as fee for dog etc [which would be valid if it were mentioned anytime prior to our checking out]. by simply adding it at end even though we were in lobby many many times re: above issues it seemed very unprofessional. We had a positive stay. I could overlook the semi dilapidated condition of the loft because we were able to stay in the room with our friends which was more fun for us. Seems a shame - if they were to invest $1500 into the apartment they could probably charge twice as much!

Perfect location and right in the center of Old Montreal!

The loft rooms were were wonderful. They were close to everything we wanted to see and there was plenty of space in these rooms. We rented two loft rooms for our family of 4, but could have easily stayed in one loft room. The staff was helpful and kind, it was not a problem that we did not speak French. The rooms are very quaint. The walk up the steps were tiring at the end of the day, since there was no elevator, but it added to the charm of the rooms.

Although we had some air conditioning issues,the hotel staff were very accommodating in trying to satisfy our desires. It is only fair to say the hotel was under going some construction which may have contributed to the air-conditioning problems, and also it was the start of the air-conditioning season. It would have been nice had we been able to open more then one window in order to get a cross breeze. we didn't spend one night in the room I had booked because the A/C wasn't working, but the room they put us in was more of an apartment and was quite comfortable.Because the A/C still wasn't working on our second day, we were offered a room upgrade, also at check out time we were not charged for our 3 days of parking. As I said, the staff are very friendly, courteous, and accommodating.

This is a very nice option for a stay in old Montreal. The loft is very nicely furnished and clean. The bed is big, lovely and comfortable. The staff were very nice. The loft is a short walk from the hotel. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable - allowed early check-in, accompanied us to the loft, transferred bags, provided valet service w/ the car etc. My only quibbles are very minor ones. The kitchen, while clean and handy, was a bit sparsely equipped - only 4 each of cutlery and tableware so we were a bit short when hosting a dinner w/ friends. There were no water glasses - only those for wine. Few pots, only a single tea-towel, no foil or plastic wrap... Visitors should know that old Montreal is not a good place to buy groceries, so if you want to self-cater, you will have to go shopping in another neighbourhood and bring it to the loft (this is not the fault of the hotel, of course...). The bathroom, while lovely, is also a bit badly designed, as the glass shower door is awkwardly placed. It requires some manoevering to get in and out of the shower/tub, and the stopper did not work when one of us tried to take a bath. My friend I went to the lovely Spa Scandinave a few minutes walk away from the loft, had amazing massages and loved the water therapies. Olive and Gourmando is a great cafe a few blocks west on St-Paul.... For a romantic weekend away or a girls' getaway this is a good choice. It could also work for a family w/ a small child/children as long as they are OK sharing the space w/ kids. The port nearby is great for walking, cycling, strolling w/ a stroller etc. - lots of space fro the kids to run around...

Appartement douellet avec lit moelleux et confortable! Emplacement idéal pour visiter le vieux Montréal Service courtois! Magnifique terrasse avec vue sur le vieux port! ( auberge)

Assez bonne ,bruyant assez tôt ( la semaine )livraison et vidange.Tres bien situé,près du vieux port.Assez près du centre -ville a pied.Bon choix de resto.

Endroit charmant et très accueillant. Le seul hic était l'odeur prononcée de la fumée du feu de bois (même si nous n'avons pas utilisé la cheminée!).Sinon, ce fut un séjour très agréable.

Bon souvenir, belle grande chambre super lumineuse. À distance de marche de tout au vieux port. Un peu bruyant si vous vous couchez tôt, à cause du night life mais sans excès. On y retournerais sans hésiter.
