Manage not willing to work with business people - will not stay there again or recommed their hotel.

Clean but SMELLY. Horrible air quality from lobby to room. We were in a smoking room as all the non-smoking rooms were booked and there was no other options in town. OMG. Thankfully we were able to sleep with the window open to let in some fresh air. Awful.

Room was comfortable and spacious. However I'm guessing they used a large vacuum to clean, as there was an inch of grime that framed the carpet next to the skirting board (the vacuum being too big to get next to the wall). Also in the middle of my stay the hotel changed from providing free wifi to putting a lock on it.

Ill stay there again out of necessity.

Great hotel, very friendly and quiet!

As far as service there was none,no one was ever at the front desk, you had to wait for them.The hotel was very nice in itself & very convenient,but it needs better management

Clean & comfortable. Service was ok. Ate breakfast at Dennys.

It was close to where I was going and at a good location.

this place is not great, but for the price we paid. its a good place to stay. And now i know what other reviews ment about the first floor smell. Thank God we were on the 3 floor. and breakfast i would give it maybe a D+.

The hotel was acceptable but the Lobby and public spaces had a horrible incense smell - so much so that I did not eat breakfast on location.

The hotel staff was very nice and politle, the room was very nice, the only thing is the bed was kinda hard,but other than that a grweat stay and a great hotel.

The hotel smelled bad, and they had moth balls all over hotel, in our bathroom our tub was clogged through out our stay.. Hotel needs lots of updating.

The room was good compared to what I was expecting. Staff were friendly and interacted with us on a personal level. Made us feel like we were appreciated. Breakfast was not the best, but it was sufficient. Easy access to interstate and store.

Recently stayed here after a family event. Very clean hotel and great location for the price. Would stay again.

Unusual smell on first floor due to management cooking. Management was very nice and rooms were well kept. But, there are not a lot of guests checking into the hotel...seems like a ghost town.

WHEN WE WENT DOWN FOR BREAKFAST AT 7:00 AM THERE WAS NO MORE FOOD

The only draw back were stong odors in the lobby, hallways and our room. Hard to determine what the odors were but they were strong. We had to stop at Wal-Mart and get get some odor control sprays to try and cover the sour odor in our room.

Parking lot was small ... But why pay $30+ extra for parking? Which is what anything within 5 miles of Deer Park costs. They gave us the handicapped room, non-smoking, BUT previous occupant(s) had smoked and it needs carpet cleaned. Manager willingly gave us a different room as it was a Tuesday, but I suspect we would be SOL in trouble if it were a fully booked weekend night. ASK when you book!!! This is a corporate owned facility and they don't pay attention to problems like this as would a family owned motel. This is always a problem at the 2-3star motels where management doesn't want to spend the money to clean up after trashy people. Every Super 8, corporate or family owned, we have ever stayed at never bleach their towels, they appear and smell clean, but come on, what does that cost? We will stay there again because of price and location, but the rest is marginal value.

Worst continental breakfast ever. Carpet in room very dirty.

We got what we wanted out of the stay. It is right off I10, but didn't look like a good area. I was a little fearful to go out late at night to eat.

The smell on the first floor of indian/pakistani cooking is horrible, but it doeen't permeate the whole hotel. Apparently the owners live on the bottom floor in a suite behind the front desk. Staff was not rude, but not particularly friendly either. Coke can under the bed and chewing gum stuck to the wall, probably just overlooked by housekeeping. Bed was comfortable, room a good size. It's quite far out of Houston, but that's why the price is cheap. It's good for one night. Longer than that you should look elsewhere.

Was a good stay for the price....I don't like when hotels use unfitted flat sheets instead of fitted sheets on the beds....they just don't stay on at night....hotel was clean, AC worked well in the heat.....continental breakfast was average at best...but for the price, it was worth the trip.

It was fine. I stayed there because I could not find a room in west Houston. The drive was longer than I prefer, but overall my stay was all right.

The hotel was super conveniently located - made it easy to get back on the highway, and make it into Houston without dealing with Houston traffic. Very clean, and plenty comfortable.

let's see: roaches, noisy, smelly lobby, smokers on the non-smoking floor (and management did not care). Unreasonable when I needed to modify my reservation and blamed it on hotels.com who bent over backwards trying to help me. Avoid this place!!

The service here was rude at best. The rooms were rarely cleaned, even though they say they clean them every day. The manager was beyond rude in his attiude, and the clerks are highly incompetent, in that they need a teenaged girl to access the account, and even afterward my creditcard charges will need to be gone over, because the woman put my stay on someone elses credit card. This was, hands down, my worst stay ever.

I BOOKED A NON SMOKING ROOM BUT BECAUSE OF ALL THE SMOKING ROOMS AROUND ME THE SMELL WAS SO BAD I PUT A TOWEL AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR TO KEEP THE SMELL OUT... I WON'T BE STAYING HERE AGAIN THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY NICE BUT VERY TIRED AS SHE WORKS FROM 7AM TO 11PM 7 DAYS A WEEK THEY NEED MORE STAFF EVEN THE OWNERS COME LATER IN THE DAY TO CLEAN THE ROOMS. THE POOL WAS GREEN AND BREAKFAST IT WAS SORRY. NOT GOING BACK

Right of interstate. Newer motel, but the smell at you enter and while at the front desk is something else. Once on the second floor, no odor. Smell could be from cooking that the staff does?

This is one of the newer Super 8's and it's well cared for. My room was very well attended to over my 3 day stay. A couple of things, though. Some earlier reviewer noted the heavy cooking odors on the 1st floor coming from the owners'/managers' quarters. It's pretty evident and never really goes away and is stronger at certain times of the day...think it's curry. I didn't smell a trace of it in my room on the 2nd floor, so the only time I did was when I was coming and going or having the 'continental' breakfast off the lobby. Oh yes, the 'breakfast.' It redefined the principle of minimalism in 'free' breakfasts.No fruit or yogurt, just coffee, juice, cold cereal, doughy white bread for toast and the real clinker, 'mini' bagels so small - about 3 inches round - when they're dropped in the toaster, they fall to the bottom and are lost. I was left with the feeling that why do they even bother? It may be o.k. for you but if not, chuck the S-8's breakfast and drive west down 10 to Tony's in Sealy - Exit 720 I think - and have a real breakfast served by smiling locals without odors.

Hotel was clean and in good condition. I arrived late and was in and out as I had to go to the store. Also, checked out at 5am. The proprietors showed up at the desk each time I entered and exited. Possibly they have adjusted to an earlier review that said they were hard to get hold of at times. I left before breakfast was served. For my purposes - a quick overnight stay - this hotel was perfect.

this hotel was at a decent location not to far from katy and at a reasonable price. the employees / family members are rarely in the front desk but mostly in the backroom somewhere so you will usually have to ring a bell. i have noticed that they only put out enough food ,milk,jelly,creamcheese for a couple of ppl at a time so you would have to keep on ringing the bell to get someone to put out 2 more slices of bread or milk as if the hotel may go under if someone sneeks an extra slice of toast. the business center has a computer but theres such a slow delay you may pull out your hair! and they do not have a printer in there business center and they will not use theres behind the desk to help you out. if you need to print something you would need to drive 12 miles to a kinko,s

Nothing wrong with this motel. Clean room. Nice staff. Didn't stay for breakfast. Good value for the price.

Newer hotel, a little off the beaten path but right off the highway. Clean, good service; excellent for the price.
