There was no hotel or local attration information in the room and no local attraction leaflets obviously available in the foyer or entrance as usually found. The staff were very courteous and helpful and the bar meal and service fine.

Stayed in the above room which has a generator outside going throughout the night & a high pitched squeal. I resorted to putting toilet paper in my ears in a desperate attempt to block the noise out. Both check in and check out was a lengthy process as the receptionist kept taking calls without apology or asking if it was ok. Breakfast was mediocre with slow service. Rooms are in need of refurbishment. I would choose the premier inn over this in future

I've stayed at The Mount a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. A little dated in some rooms but overall a lovely hotel. Food is fantastic and wonderful location with some stunning views. Looking forward to spending some summer evenings in the outdoor area.

Aimed more as a conference hotel, we were in restaurant when party of 12 came in, too noisy, we then asked to be moved to quieter location in anti room. Food very basic, nothing to write home about, breakfast was unimaginative and dull. Bedroom was far too hot, radiators making dreadful noise throughout the night, waking us up. Staff were friendly on the plus side.

I had previously stayed at The Mount but didn't remember the rooms being so snug. There is a chair in the room along with a desk and desk chair, I believe one of those chairs could be eliminated. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I had a meal in the restaurant, the steak was a little overdone for my liking but I was hungry and did not send it back. All-in-all a nice property with some history.

The room was fine but it was a bit warm and the windows could only be opened a small amount to cool it. The Breakfast was good and the service was efficient. We would stay at it again.

The hotel is past its best. The staff were fine - willing and helpful, but the fabric of the building lets them down. The room was clean enough, and the price was good, but the building needs some serious work.

Welcoming efficient and courteous staff ensured a comfortable stay.

Hotel is only OK, bit of a dissapointment really as judging by the reception we expected more form the rooms. Rooms are tired looking and could do with a makeover, there was a hole in the bath and the shower door would not stay in position. The worst thing was the room service, waited an hour for 2 sandwiches at a time when the hotel was empty, not great

Always use this hotel, rooms a little tired but clean & comfortable, location perfect

The Mount is a lovely characteristic establishment well worth staying there if you need a hotel in the Wolverhampton area. Room was clean and very spacious comfy bed, excellent breakfast, big car park basically all good.

Very nice, well maintained family style hotel. Friendly and helpful team. My room was fit out to a high standard. I would plan to stay at the The Mount again.

This has an historic charm to the older part of the building, and although the rooms may be in a seventies extension this is a minor point. It does appear that the hotel has been taken over in recent times and they are updating and refurbishing the accommodation areas. The hotel is clean and has good facilities. The restaurant is very good and the staff are all very polite and helpful.

Arrived midnight and left early so didn't see much. Staff were always polite and helpful despite being under some pressure. Bathroom in my room was rather tired but 'blends' with, what in daylight, was clearly once a rather grand building. There is plenty of off road parking and, for the insomniacs, it is very quite although there were no functions that night. Some prankster programmed TV to switch on and wake me up at 3am so make sure it off before you put the light out. Reasonable choice of self serve breakfast but only onto cold plates. Also, only eggs available were scrambled which I've never eaten since school. Give it a try - it's quite acceptable really and suspect it has a good amount of repeat business.

Enjoyed our stay. We found all the beds too hot with only a doona and no option of just a sheet and maybe a blanket.

I keep going back. Good food comfortable rooms friendly staff. Only downside is that some of the rooms have snags.e.g. tap that doesn't work etc

A nicely appointed hotel which has undergone some recent renovations and improvements. Reception was very efficient. Food is very good, although the service not too swift, but alright. Comfortable clean room with all the usual amenties. Good parking on site.

Restaurant seemed to struggle as it had a business group of 12 or so and thus dinner took ages! Room was on top floor and the bathroom lacked a good supply of hot water or indeed water pressure.

great hotel and grounds with good bar in semi rural part of Wolverhampton.Fre wifi and easy parking.This used to be a four star hotrel but is no longer as it has changed owners but service remaions topp notch.Strongly recommend it

Not as good as expected for a special occasion. A large glass of wine spilt over me - situation dealt with very poorly by management but not waitress, still waiting for an apology.

We only stayed one night at this hotel, for the Tough Guy event down the road. It was perfectly located for this purpose - about 5 mins drive away. The staff were delightful, the room was great and the food was absolutely wonderful. It was, possibly, the most delicious steak I have ever eaten - and I have eaten a lot of steaks in a lot of places. Will definitely be staying there for Tough Guy 2013.

The hotel was acquired by its current owner in May 2011 and we got the impression that under the previous owners it might have suffered some neglect. The building itself is magnificent, set in beautiful grounds and yet it is very convenient for Wolverhampton city centre. The new owner has stated its intention of restoring the hotel to its former glories and there is evidence of this happening already. But it will take time. For example, our room was extremely clean and comfortable, but the bathroom furniture, although clean and perfectly functional, seemed in need of modernisation, a tap in the en-suite was constantly dripping and the window sills outside were in desperate need of attention.. However, the bar food was excellent, as was the breakfast, and the staff were efficient and friendly. All in all, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Wolverhampton area.

All aspects of the hotel was good, while the room itself had fewer extras - and there was no bath tub as indicated on hotels.com. Staff was accommodating, keeping the restaurant open late for us to have dinner.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mount Hotel, the staff were very polite and friendly and the hotel very clean and the room very quiet. Thank you to the Mount Staff KMUD

Old country house, but sloppy, pretentious, with dining rooms squalid with neon lights. Dirty and with continuous marriages of obese and drunk people.Rooms small and windows impossible to open.Reception with a girl who seems to sleep for most of the time. To avoid.

Overall experience with this hotel is very good. They have plenty of car parking space right outside and the neighbourhood is perfectly lovely. Ten minute walk to COOP and other necessities and about a £4-7 taxi ride to the centre of Wolverhampton. The staff were very serviceminded and cheerful. I was there for 2 days and enjoyed my stay there.
