We got our first night away with our kids this was so nice and right near everything

Very well kept, great location and pleasant staff! It's the nicest property in the area, and well worth the price you pay. We had some problems with people smoking and then trying to cover up the smell, and the hotel comped us another night-a very considerate gesture that is such a part of their great service! The upstairs bar has great food and a great view, don't miss this place!

Great new menu in new restaurant the wharfside for dinner. 2nd day opened.

We really enjoyed our stay!!! The staff we all very friendly and helpful. The room keeper, Carl was a super guy!! The only negative was that we saw the same room service dishes sitting in the hall for an entire day! Yuck. I'd stay there again, I just hope I don't have to look @ someone else's dirty dishes for a whole day again!

It had been a tough winter, and all our travel had been to Vermont to help a sick relative. When that was no longer necessary, we really wanted a place to relax and unwind! Ashcroft by the sea was just the ticket!!! I enjoyed everything about the hotel. The staff was amazing. I enjoyed the room... Small but clean and comfortable and the food was great. Strongly recommend this hotel

We stayed in mid-April 2013. We went to Hampton for a fishing excursion on the Gauron Charters. The room was nicely appointed, but rather small, which I guess is common for a tourist area. The restaurant and lounge was serviceable. We had a room on the first floor near the pool, which is tough if you don't have young children whom love to start screaming at the crack of dawn as they splash around with their parents. Next time I would request to be away from the children areas. All in all, I would stay again without a doubt. Not much of Hampton was in full swing yet, but the Hotel is right in the center of town and directly across from the State Beach. Great town, great hotel. Looking forward to my net trip to the coast. Great place to spend an out-of-season holiday right on the beach. The hotel upgraded our room to a balcony which offered a bird's eye view of the surf.

Great location right on the beach and near all the shops of Hampton Beach.

The staff was the best. The best place I stayed in a long time. Not so much about the hotel itself, but about everything. Close to the ocean, good thing around the hotel, the hotel resturant was great just a very good time. Would stay again. Great place highly recommend it.

very nice

Nice room, decent view, good proximity to the Casino Ballroom. We were disappointed that the room I booked with a King bed did not have a view of the ocean. We switched to a double queen for the view, and when we got to the room, the sliding glass doors were clouded terribly and obscurred the view. However, the breakfast-restaurant at the hotel was fabulous!

This hotel faces the ocean and the rooms are very spacious. The help could not have been friendlier and most helpful. We had dinner and breakfast there and both were very good.

Pleasant stay

The Ashworth staff went above and beyond to solve a minor reservation snafu, which resulted in my getting the room with a king bed that I had reserved, but this time, with an ocean view! The only downside was that the hallway/stairwell that the room was located in, had an unpleasant odor. Fortunately, the odor did not permeate the guest room. Great place to stay when you're in Hampton Beach for a half marathon!

Enjoyed our stay here, the Only 1 thing I would say is that the room I was in you could hear every thing from the room by us and I mean every thing! even when they were talking you could hear clearly. That's why i gave it a 3. would I go back yes, but would take ear plugs. staff keep up the good job. You made us welcome.

Located right on the beach this hotels price reflects that fact. We booked this hotel in the off season and paid half price. I would suggest that for anyone who really wants to stay here. We woke up with sore backs from the lumpy bed. The pictures of the pool must have been taken 20 years ago and it could use some TLC. To make a long story short we wanted to pay extra to stay at a nice hotel and we're thoroughly disappointed with the accommodations.

we had a great time and met a lot of nice people that we will remain in contact with.joe and kim at the bar were fantastic as well as our serverderrick was fantastic, all around great staff and went out of thier way to make us feelwelcomed were coming back in october for the 100 year sinking of thetitanic thank you all.

Parking comes with a fee, linen was dirty, pool area was filthy,and pool water was cloudy/unfit for swimming.

I was very disappointed with my stay! I heard the neighbors as theypartyied all night long! I heard when everyone went to the bathroom. I will never stay there again! I thought the price was high and expected more! I could not believe at that high price that the walls were paper thin!!! I do not go to bed at one or two oclock in the morning but at this hotel I did not have a say!! The hotel needs to sound proof their rooms!!! The housekeeping staff did not even to attempt to come into our room until afternoon and I had to ask for more towels! Not a three or four star hotel!!! Sorry!

we had several issues. they were taken care of . for what i paid for the ashworth, i got to listen to the air conditioning units, all night long

THE STAY WAS GREAT. LITTLE PRICEY BUT STILL GREAT.THE STAFF& HOUSEKEEPING WAS EXCELLANT. I THINK THEY NEED RUBBER MATS OR DECALS IN TUB. MY HUSBAND ALMOST FELL, IT WAS SO SLIPPERY. I CALLED DOWN TO HOUSE KEEPING ,THEY SENT UP THIS VERY OLD USED MATT. BUT IT WAS ALL THEY HAD. RESTAURANTS GREAT FOOD. BEST CLAM CHOWDER I HAVE HAD IN YEARS!! THE BREAKFAST DINER HAD GREAT FOOD BUT FOR 3 DAYS NO AC. DID'T USE IT THEN. OVER ALL I WOULD GO BACK.

Elevator came to a halt after a slight drop felt like whiplash. I was sore explained to the front desk what happened as we had to use the emergency phone ...seemed to be a regular occorance. Mold in bathroom. Overall dirty and outdated. I never stayed the night checked put early

every person we came in contact with went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed.. courtesy with a smile...great service!!!! room was clean, and close to all activities..great food.. cant express enough how great the hotel staff was!!

I loved the hotel because it is right across the street from the beach. Very convenient so that you don't have to drive. An added plus is that there are several reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance to the hotel.

The hotel is very nice, newly renovated, tasteful room admist some tackier, older hotels. We loved the roof top bar, especially the accomodating bartender and the view of the fireworks was great! Both the elevator and the women's room by the pool where not working, this was somewhat of an inconvenience, they should have been able to repair this for a big weekend like Memorial Day. All in all, a great stay and we will be back! It's worth the $$ if you like cleaner, newer, more upscale hotels.

The staff the hotel was terrific....Loved it.

This is a nice place. Our room was surprisingly large, the bed was comfortable, and we had a small ocean facing balcony. The restaurant in the adjoining building served excellent meals, which was fortunate, because the rest of the town was still shuttered (literally) for the winter season. Hampton State Beach is right across the road and it is beautiful!

A friend and I met there for a girl's weekend. We chose it because it had an indoor pool, restaurant, and bar. We were not disappointed. The staff was great, food very good, and easy to find. We happened to be there during the time change and were asked if we would like to have a late check-out at no additional cost. We will definately go back.

great room, very noisy from ballroom party and a CONSTANTLY BARKING DOG, made an otherwise happy stay somewhat stressful. Also service in the restaurant was poor. Overall a very fine hotel

We parked, we swam, ate, drank, danced, and snoozed without leaving the building. The people that work at the Ashworth are intelligent, caring, and fun. I hope the establishment knows what a goldmine they have in their staff, it makes the whole difference.

We stayed at the Ashworth during the Christmas holiday and had a very pleasant experience. We chose the Ashworth because it is only a few miles away from family. It is an older hotel with a lot of history, so it is not a cookie-cutter type of establishment. This place has charm and a unique feel. The room had an ocean view with a small walk out patio and the bathroom was ample with an adjustable showerhead and large bathtub. There were plenty of channels to watch on the television and even the workout facility had a large screen tv. My only criticism is that some of the workout equipment could be updated, but overall I still got my workouts in when I wanted them and enjoyed the overall ambiance of the hotel.

The ashworth by the sea was in an absolutely great location, the staff was helpful, the rooms were clean and plenty comfortable. And when your staying here you're within walking distance to an almost endless amount of bars and restaurants, the Hampton beach ballroom casino, and the beach is literally just steps away from the front door!!

WE ARRIVED A FEW HOURS EARLY BEFORE OUR CHECK IN TIME, THEY DIDNT HESITATE TO LET US CHECK IN RIGHT AWAY. WE HAD LUNCH IN THE DINNING ROOM, FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. WE WERE STAYING THERE DURING A BAD RAIN/SNOW STORM, AND THEY HAD OFFERED THEIR SHUTTLE SERVICE JUST TO BRING US DOWN THE STREET TO A CONCERT WE WERE ATTENDING. GREAT SERVICE, WOULD STAY AGAIN.

Great location and service, but could use a good scrubbing in some areas. I used the in-room coffee maker to brew hot water for tea. Imagine my amazement when the liquid came out dark. Looks like no one ever cleaned out the pot, so I think someone else's coffee grounds were in there. Didn't want to check though... Also went to the attached Whalers for breakfast. Heavily stained ceilings were a turn off, but food and service were good.

Small but very clean hotel rooms. Nice place in a neighborhood of dumpy older motels. Right across from beach. Good restaurant. Basically the only proper place to eat in town. If Hampton beach is your destination, this is the best choice.

Ashworth was what I expected of Hampton Hotel. It was older, but you can see that they are making improvements. The pool was under construction when we arrived, which was not mentioned on hotels.com website. However, the staff was extremely nice and accomadating and offered free passes to another hotel's pool. The valet parking was a + since it is hard to find parking in the area.

The Ashworth Hotel by the Sea is convenient to the Hampton Casino Ballroom and Hampton Beach. Highly recommend a stay in this location.
