This hotel was perfect for our purposes. The beds were comfortable, bedding was fresh and clean. The breakfast was varied and good. my only complaint, if you could call it a complaint, is that the rooms are a bit dated. How important is this? Not too since they got the important things right.

Very pleased with all aspects of hotel stay. There for 4 nights. Enjoyed hot breakfast. Used the whirlpool. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Wait for elevators was short. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only unusual item was closet (just hadn't seen this design before). One door into closet opened near the entrance to room but you could also access closet via a door in the bathroom ( ie the "backdoor" ).

My stay was great. The only concern that I had was that I had to move from one room to another room because the bathroom toliet hadn't been cleaned. There was an orange stain that surrounded the toliet. When my son used the bathroom, there was movement of the orange stain. This was very unappealing as a guest, however, I can understand that the custodian may have forgotten to check before exting the room to clean other rooms. In the future, I suggest that the custodian check for accuracy. This was my first visit at this particular hotel and I would stay there again.

The rooms are comfortable and clean and the service was impeccable. The gym equipment was in good condition as were the hot tub and pool area. Someone was clearly tending to public areas, and the guest rooms. My requests to staff for a room change to be farther from an elevator and for items I left at home were responded to quickly and effectively. I would definitely stay again. The breakfast was nice too.

Hotel was fine. Room was quite small and bed was a little too soft. Might stay there again, might not. Nothing bad to say about it, but nothing to write home about either.

I though this hotel was really nice,. only problem is that it was hard to find. Its kind of tucked behind another hotel, so its a little difficult to see from the road. But the hotel itself was nice and there was a breakfast in the morning, mainly cold cereal and stuff you could microwave. The room itself was very nice. It had a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and a comfortable bed. The chair seemed like it had been roughed up by a cat, but the room did not smell like pets had been in there. I enjoyed my stay there, and i would stay there again.

Everything about the hotel was really nice from start to finish--the friendly service, the cleanliness of the hotel and our room, the breakfast--it was all great. Would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel brand before and this trip was, as expected, wonderful. The kitchenette and comfortable beds are a big bonus for my family. We did have a problem with our a/c unit, but were offered a substitute room for the night while they fixed it. The staff was friendly and helpful, even providing directions to a restaurant I wanted to find but couldn't remember the exact name of. Rooms and public areas were truly clean and did not smell like too much air freshener trying to cover up a problem (a problem I have had in hotels in the past). The only drawback was that it was a bit difficult to find as it is tucked back off the road with only a small sign to mark the entrance. However, this does limit road noise at night. I am planning on staying here again when I return in the spring and summer.

The hotel was quite nice, convenient to the beach and downtown, very clean room. My five year old daughter loved the pull out couch, and the in-room kitchen was very convenient. The breakfast was great as long as you're not on a low carb diet. Only two issues we had were the bed is almost over soft, so my husband and I sunk into the middle (since he went to bed first, I felt like I was sleeping on a hill all night), and the indoor pool, while convenient since it rained during our stay, was a lot smaller than the pictures would suggest. Since there were older kids playing and jumping in the pool, we had a hard time swimming without getting bumped or splashed in the face.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at Townplace Suits. The staff was super friendly, rooms were clean and well-kept. I am very particular about my sleeping arrangements; this place met the standards!

studio suite was great but the pillows were extremely soft!!! next time i will remember to bring my own pillow to get the necessary support for a better nights sleep

This is our second time staying at this Marriott. We were so pleased with our experince, that we decided to return since we knew what to expect. Yes, we paid a bit more but it was worth it. Clean facility, comfortable room and bed, pleasant staff. Since our last stay, a month ago, they have redone the breakfast area and what an improvement!!!! New equipmentand hot food, too! We are relocating to the area and need to make a few more trips before it is permanent and we will definitely stay here the next time!

The staff really stood out at this hotel. They were more than willing to go above and beyond! Location is very convenient between downtown and the beach. The rooms are cozy and well kept. Will stay again!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, cleanliness, and nice staff! Anytime we stay in Wilmington this is our go to place! Just like home here:)

Contenintal breakfast was amazing. Womens bathroom by hot tub was gross through. Nice staff

The room we received was an upgraded room that we had for a day trip we took to Wilmington and it was a beautiful room for a great Price. I think that this hotel was amazing and would definitely go this hotel again. I enjoyed everything about it. The breakfast could have been a bit more to it but all in all 5 stars. EXCELLENT!!

We recently stayed here, and while we were impressed with the room and overall service was fine, we accidentally left a small bag in the room. Obviously, that's our fault, not theirs. However, after multiple calls to hotel staff, ensuring they would let us know if they found it, nothing's come up and it seems like either housekeeping must have taken the bag or some other odd explanation - it wasn't exactly hidden in the room. Great place, it was just a disappointing end to a vacation.

Pros: The staff is wonderful. Very friendly! The room was very clean The mattress on the Queen bed was very comfortable. The inside pool was small but very clean. Cons: The pull out sofa mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. When the pull out sofa is out then there is very little space to walk around. It takes up all the space between the couch and the end of the bed so you have to crawl over the bed. Overall it was ok for a one night stay for just 3 people but any longer I would avoid the sofa bed.

If TownePlace Suites had not been next to another Marriott property, we might never have found it at night. It is set back from Eastwood Rd. behind some trees with one small sign next to a poorly lit entrance way. That said, once we found it, we were pleased with our experience there. It is a pet-friendly hotel which is why we chose it. The pet fee is reasonable when you consider how much a kennel would cost to leave your pet at home. The room was clean. The closet was a walk-through large enough to accomodate our suitcase and hanging clothes. Stowing our things in the closet made the relatively small sleeping area open and uncrowded. The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes, etc. The bed was quite comfortable. The location gives many shopping options within a short drive including high end stores at the Mayfair Complex. It is close to Market Street and College Ave.(Route I-40) which are main arteries in the Wilmington area. Our TV had multiple cable choices, and there was a small store with food to purchase and even wine by the bottle. A computer station with computers for guests to use is in the lobby. Beakfast was provided in an eating area. It was tasty. The personnel was friendly. No frills, but all you would need including an indoor pool and exercise room. We would stay here again if we could get the room for a good price, now that we know where it is.

The room was great. I travel a lot, and for those of you that do, you'll understand when i say i could have stayed a week in the room and would have been happy!

Great location and close to all major attractions in Wilmington. Hotel was clean and staff was very welcoming! Manager's reception was great with beer and wings. The breakfast was a little lacking. I'm not really a fan of cereal and toast in the morning; was expecting some hot eggs and bacon or something to that effect. Hot tub was a great perk to be able to relax after a long day and traveling.

Great hotel. Staff were excellent. Close to historic downtown Wilmington & the riverfront which hosts the USS NC Battleship & shopping along with multiple dining options & sight-seeing horsedrawn carriage rides through the historic district.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, clean, looked brand new and the staff was more than helpful. Next time I'm in Wilmington I will be staying here.

When we took a shower the shower curtain was to high and the water ran out on the floor could have slipped and fell NOT good when we returned to hotel we noticed the bathroom wasnt cleaned you could tell by looking in the sink also the toilet paper was not put on the roller. After being in the pool when you have to go to bathroom you have to walk out on a cold floor no rug or anything the first night we had someone with car alarm going off and on for about an hour it was not good kept us up.

Very nice and comfortable suite. Close to all that Wilmington and the surrounding area - including Wrightsville and Carolina Beaches. Definately worth one's consideration as an outstanding hotel to stay during your vacation.

Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great central location

The room was small and not what I anticipated. With the sofa bed open, it was impossible to walk around the sofa bed or the queen bed. Aside from this the room was acceptable.

This hotel had the most comfortable bed since I stayed in Hawaii - THANK YOU!

Great everything. Was like living in an upscale apartment for the weekend. Close to everything. Will definitely stay again!! :)

And the manager's reception was a nice surprise.

The hotel was updated and the room was nice w a full kitchen. We had our two small dogs that were welcomed. The only draw back was that the room did slightly smell of pets so we got spay and made it better. Overall we were very pleased and felt safe and comfortable leaving our dogs in the room while we were out. Wiil use them again when we return. Bonus: the rate from hotels.com was VERY reasonable.
