Grand Hyatt San Antonio - סן אנטוניו

Well, the hotel itself is not bad, but service staff rude, unfriendly and has not clue about the product they selling. Basic words like "good morning/ thank you/ please and have a nice day" are not common to this people. Usullay I am not writting e-mails to the headquarter as I prefer so solve problems direct with the manager on duty, if there is any. But in this case I send the following e-mail, so make your own picture if you want to get treated like this. After we send our e-mail, we got even more highlights, as the breakfast service is only available until 10.00 a.m and not as written in their binder until 11.30 a.m. Furthermore, when we checked out, the lady want us to pay $ 25.00 and as we asked her why, the explaination got crazy.First she said, our business plan includes only $ 50 for breakfast, so we told her that we don't have a business plan, our hotel rate was booked including breakfast and pre-paid and no restriction are applying, so she changed it to ok, but coffee, tea, orange juice is not included in the breakfast buffet price and thats why we have to pay. No, your daily breakfast bill includes everthing. Ok then it is the addtional tax you have to pay. No your bill shows price for breakfast plus tax and she finally explained it is a mandatory tip for the waiter/waitress. I just laughed and she said, ok if you don't wont pay I will remove the charge which she did. Unfortunately it is not possible to display my e-mail.

Enjoyed the stay, right on the riverwalk.

Horrible room for the price. $5 water bottles left in the room that they would "bill you for", after paying $200 for the room you would think the water would be complimentary. Guess not? The carpet by the window was ripping up from the floor. Our view was a mess of construction and an old beat down dennys across the way. Beautiful! Lower your prices guys, cause I think the Hilton has you beat!

Very seldom give a top rating to anything so when I do it means something. So next to highest is all I usually give unless they "walk on water" That being said, this hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It has all the amenities and allows pets. On the riverwalk but off the main loop which is the nice thing about it

We had a wonderful time in San Antonio. The hotel was very convenient to all that the downtown area has to offer. Our only negative comment would be that there is a charge for WI-FI and also for parking at the hotel.

Dismayed that billing thru expedia changed the breakfast. Four people but only 2 breakfasts . Since this was the first time at a Hyatt and being new to the travel scene, I unfortunately will not be going to any Hyatt facilities.

Disappointed with the luxury of the room compared to the Hyatt Regency and other Riverwalk hotels.

The stay was excellent. I really enjoyed my time there.

This was a great hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

Right on the Riverwalk. Staff was helpful and friendly. We had a nice time.

A great experience. My party was reduced from 4 to 3 but I prepaid for 4 and lost that money. Was not prepared for $39 per day parking fees for each of 2 autos. My only other experience with large hotels is Las Vegas where parking is free. Culture shock on my part.

Service excellent. Room comfortable except for feather pillow. Amenities great with extensive free add-ons for forgotten items.

Easy check-in by very professional staff. My room was very comfortable and clean. Room service was awesome, and other staff members were great.

Very quiet room and in the heart of San Antonio, close to river, shopping, Alamo.

The perfect getaway destination. Great room, heated pool, fabulous healthy dining, friendly staff from the first moment until our easy checkout, unbelievable fitness center. Never felt crowded even though lots going on at and around the hotel. Right on the best part of the river. Easy walk to everything worth doing downtown! Parked across the street in Market Street garage because hotel too much $$ for parking and we could see the truck from our room parked on their roof top garage!

Nice hotel & friendly personal.

An excellent hotel! Very convenient location right on River Walk, the fitness center was very good and the room was great. I recommend this hotel if you visit San Antonio.

Hotel was very nice. Outside pool was heated and workout facilities are excellent. Location is very good also. The only thing to be aware of is parking costs in the area. was cheaper $9. Overall the hotel and location to Riverwalk is excellent.

Was wonderful trip. Friendly staff and great location for the places we needed to attend. Room was nice and clean. Getting our vehicle from the valet service took a bit to long for the many crew members on site.

A little dissapointed about the rooms

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and been very pleased. This visit, less so and our overall impression was that our room did not live up to Grand Hyatt standards. Our bed was squeaky and the sheets did not smell fresh. Also, the first time we went to take a shower, no hot water. Two hours later, we were able to finally take a hot shower. The lack of hot water was probably due to the fact that the hotel was busy for Spring Break / St. Patrick's Day. On check out we were asked how our visit was, we mentioned the room wasn't up to the Grand Hyatt standards, we were greeted with a simple "I'm sorry to hear that" with no further desire for clarification or detail. Obviously from a disinterested employee. Will we be back? We're not sure... with so many choices in downtown San Antonio we'll need to think long and hard. This is a top class hotel that did not deliver on our most recent visit.

We had a great time and the hotel was great! The front desk people took really good care of us and it was greatly appreciated!!! The restaurant buffet food was delicious too for brunch!!!

The Grand Hyatt was a great place to stay. It is a great location, right off the highway and on the riverwalk. The hotel was so nice and the hotel staff was great! So glad we chose to stay here.

It was just lovely, all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful which we needed!

We read reviews prior to booking about how nice the beds are...yes they are very comfortable.

I booked a "Spa Package" from Hotels.com. When I asked the hotel at check in what all was included they said they didn't have a spa and didn't know anything about it. Just prior to check out we discovered that we were supposed to receive a $100 credit at the spa at another Hyatt location around the corner, as well as breakfast for 2. This information would have been great to know when we checked in.

It had all the comforts of home. Perks coffee shop was great. The room service menu needs some more variety.

This hotel has over 1,000 rooms so be ready to see some other people. It is located just next to the Riverwalk, which is good but also makes getting around quite difficult. We brought a car but never took it out of the parking garage for fear of the traffic. Cabs were cheap though. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great, but expensive so try to get a package with free breakfasts. I think I will choose a smaller, more intimate hotel next time.

New hotel that tries hard but has a way to go. Arrived late but was told the restaurant was open until 10:30 PM. Went down at 9:50 and was informed that the restaurant was closed. Next day was told by the concierge thatthe rodea was in town - later found out that the rodeo would begin the following week.In faiirness, the people were nice, service fine....The hotel is at the extreme end of the Riverwalk which was inconvenient. Rooms were on the small side.Would stay elsewhere if I visit San Antonio again

Nice clean trustworthy hotel with great beds. The lobby area is a wee bit soulless but the staff are very helpful. Stayed before as its close to the riverwalk. You can park the car over the road in the multi-story (self park and its a lot cheaper).

This is my second stay at the Grand Hyatt in less than two months... this is for sure my favorite hotel in San Antonio from all the hotels i have stayed in...
