1st time to NYC so I was going in based on reviews. It was good location, no issues. I travelled with 12 & 13 year old and we walked most places we went. The map at the front desk was very helpful and I carried with me on all adventures. The staff was great! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to end and start each day in NYC. I didnt find elevators bad but we tried to be out during peak times, the nice thing is that it did have floor status at each floor so you could see approximate wait time. The free breakfast and WIFI was great! One last thing........not sure how often this happens but we were scheduled to leave the day of a parade that had 45th closed.........check to see if potential road closures could cause road closures

Our room was exactly what you'd expect of Holiday Inn. It wasn't large (this is New York!), but there were two double beds, a desk, wardrobe, bedside table and dresser with a TV and just enough room for two of us to spread out our suitcases. The room looked like it had been renovated in the last few years - granite-like sink in bathroom, new toilet, new floors, etc. The room was pretty quiet. We didn't hear the guests in the room beside us, although we did hear some noise through the floor above and, since we were facing the street (45th), there was some street noise from passing vehicles and the bar across the road. If you're sensitive to street noise, ask for a room facing away from the road. Breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn fare - cold cereal, coffee, juice, omlettes, sweets, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fruit, etc. Location wise, it couldn't be better. It's maybe 5 minutes to walk to Times Square, 10 steps from 5th Avenue and about 10 minutes to Grand Central Terminal. Very easy to move around the city in this location and I would highly recommend it for first time visitors to NYC who want to be in the heart of all the activity.

The hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable not the biggest you will find in America but for New York it was a good size. The complimentary breakfast was great but the seating gets busy due to the number of guests. The hotel is located on West 45th street and is close to 5th avenue and Times Square. We walked to the Rockerfella building and central park from here too. Overall a good hotel.

Was recently there for 3 nights with my husband and two kids (9 & 5 yrs old). Room was tight for us all, but we only slept there. Close to restaurants, Duane Reade, and tourist sights. The free breakfast was good, although the eating area was very crowded, so we took the food up to our room to eat. Would stay there again.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The location is fabulous, 2 blocks from Times Square/Broadway. The beds were comfy and the room was nicely laid out (all rooms in NY are small so the layout is key). The breakfast was fabulous with nice variety of hot and cold food. The front desk staff were very helpful. Free wifi made our trip much easier. The only issue is there is no in-room safe as advertised. The safes are in the front lobby and the clerk couldn't find the key (so we opted not to use the safe). Despite this hiccup, likely one of the best hotels in this star-rating for this price.

Our hotel was very nice and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. Dennis made sure everything was perfect for our stay.

I took my girlfriend to Midtown to celebrate her birthday for the weekend. The location of the hotel was great because it took less than two minutes to walk to Times Square and about five minutes to walk to 34th Street. The hotel was very well kept and quiet even though it is in the center of many tourist attractions. Dennis was the gentlemen who checked us in and he was very warm, friendly and professional. The rooms were a bit small but clean and still quite comfortable. The complementary breakfast was also very good. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

I was in New York for NYU Graduation at Radio City Music Hall, so the location of the hotel was great!

We had a good stay. The hotel is convenient to the theatres, shopping, and restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was a plus as was the free Wi-Fi.

I booked the hotel expecting two twin beds. had to share a king with a business associate. The room was so small we could not set up a mini ironing board without moving the chair and bed around. Cleaning service was good. staff was friendly enough for new yorkers. plus we were charged an extra $80 in service fees... for $260/ night after fees. I would not recommend to anyone.

I thought the hotel was in a grey location, oy a few blocks from grand central and two blocks from time square. I really like that you were able to leave your bags at the hotel if you arrived before check in. Another plus was the breakfast on included with your stay. The staff was very helpful and very very nice. I will definitely be staying here the next time I am in the city!

Great spot room was small but allwaysclean. Easy access to time square . Staff booked a town car vs cab for same price. Will stay there again.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Room and breakfast were okay. Cleaning could have been better but I'm picky!

The hotel was good value for the money I paid. The staff are all extremely pleasant and professional. The breakfast is nice but only minor complaint is the breakfast area is cramped and gets a bit crowded. However would defiantly stay here again as it is close to the main attractions of Manhattan

Great experience! So convenient to so many sights. Very clean and comfortable. A great deal in a fantastic location. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was a bit small for the four of us, but we were very satisfied overall. The location excellent and breakfast was good, just a little crowded because the space is very small

We were very happy with our stay. Breakfast was great and hotel was clean.

Very small rooms, but a perfect location and great service.

Though the room was small, particularly for 3 people, our overall experience was surprisingly good. The service was excellent. We were also impressed by the variety of offerings at the complimentary breakfast. Well worth the money and stay!

When we checked in the first night the woman at the desk checking us in apologized for the room we were getting, room 101! She said she would be able to move us the next night. We didn't realize what the problem was until we entered the room. It had an odor of smoke and mold and stained carpet. So we thought that was what she was talking about, little did we know. This room was right off their lobby and so all night it was So noisy! At 3am my husband had to go tell them to keep it down. Most of the noise was the front desk staff!! I didn't sleep one hour and we had a parade to march in and a long day ahead of us. The next night they changed our room to the 5th floor which was fine. We were so exhausted we could have slept on the sidewalk by then. For the money I could have stayed in many nicer hotels. We picked this because our group lined up for parade right outside of hotel. Never again!

Comfortable and the free WIFI connection is just awesome!

I stayed with my daughters and they loved it. Its nicely located near everything. The rooms are small but cozy and very clean.staff was wonderful and the breakfast area is small but we just brought the food to our room l. We will stay here again

Nice, central and not too expensive.

Seems impossible, yet each time I stay there everyone is great. The front desk makes check-in painless. Rooms are clean, beds are so comfortable I sleep too well! Whatever I need, extra linens, repair, they're right on it. Free wi-fi: love it. Free breakfast is not just coffee and danish. And of course, I love the free coffee 24 hours. Only wish I could get cheaper rates ALL the time, as I come into NY every week.

A very good hotel.Close to everythin

The hotel was a VERY short distance from Times Square and Broadway! It was also very close to the Port Authority, so when we arrived, we had a quick taxi ride to our accommodations. The lobby is extremely small, but we had a suite for myself, my two daughters (ages 12 and 10) and my mother. We also brought an inflatable air mattress. The room was tight for all four of us, but being able to split into the bedroom and living room made it reasonable. There was a horrible smell that came out of the air conditioner/heater in the bedroom and the room had an odor as if it had been a smoking room previously, but given the short amount of time we were in it, it was perfect. I'd highly recommend it for the location, the free wi-fi, the customer service, and the free breakfast in the mornings! We'll stay here again!

Location was great. If you ask them, they will give a coupon for the parking garage that is one block away from the hotel. With the coupon, the parking for 24 hours is $35. Not bad at all in Manhattan. The room was tiny but clean. The breakfast was fine; hotcake, sausage, and egg with bread... Overall, I would stay again if I can find a good deal for the hotel.

Only negative thing I can say is the rooms are small,and the walls are thin, you hear every closing door on the floor. When house keeping was there lots of banging.Place was clean, close to time square.

Love the hotel and the location. It's just two blocks away from Times Square. The only thing that I don't like is the lobby because it's so small. People need to squeeze in in the hallway. Overall it's a nice hotel.

We stayed 2 nights, the location was perfect. Very accessable. Close to everything we had on our agenda. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. My family loved the breakfast buffet. Would (and have) highly recommend this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time at this hotel. Unfortunately our room was tiny and our bathroom toilet didn't flush, but we were barely in the room so it didn't make a huge difference. The staff was very nice and so accommodating and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. We'd stay there again!
