Room was confortable; Staff was friendly and knowledgable; very close to UNH- great location.

the bathroom was only relatively clean and a glass framed picture had to be removed as it was broken and about to crash to the floor. The service was great and the location is perfectly located next to UNH with a K store/ Irving right across the street. Breakfast was as expected with any HI Express.

One night stay for business. Clean room very important to me. Carpet worn with hole in one spot.

Horrible. We were given the key to someone elses room after being charged a fee over 100 for which no one could justify

we were pleased with the hotel and would go back again. everyone was friendly.

The people at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. They made your hotel feel more like a B&B than a hotel. The hotel itself was clean and provided all the necessary amenities.

Great staff, nice clean room, convenient location to town. You get what you pay for. Will stay again.

We thought that the Durham Holiday Inn Express was a very good choice regarding the overnight piece and its lovely breakfast selections. Still, the restaurant scene left something to be desired. After driving around the tiny downtown area of Durham, we opted to check out Newmarket, some 4 miles to the south, where we finally found some decent eateries.

Overall a nice hotel. Room was very comfortable. I had read that parking was confusing, but it was pretty simple to figure out. Really disappointed that the breakfast bar was subpar. The breakfast is one of the reasons I typically stay at HI expresses. The pancake machine was not working and there were no cinnamon rolls.

Overall very pleasant and comfortable but I was bummed the pancake machine was covered instead of being used.

Excellent staff. Very friendly, and willing to help. Room was clean, bed comfortable and very little disturbance. All in all a great stay ans i will choose this hotel again

My party was thoroughly satisfied with this hotel. We had a very late check in and all local restraunts were closed. The young man on the desk that Friday night gave us food from the complimentary breakfast, bagels and cream cheese etc.

The staff was great and very friendly but I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. Did not expect to find hair in the corners of the bathroom or in the shower based on other reviews yet that was exactly what I found in our bathroom.

Everyone from to the frontdesk to the maintenance team helped make my stay enjoyable!

This hotel was a little off the beaten path for us, but we enjoyed our stay. Durham is a college town, so it is quiet and has plenty of restaurant and pub choices. Hotel staff were very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was very nice, the staff pleasant and helpful, however, in order to get a reasonable rate, we had to come off the beaten path and come to Durham, which we might not have otherwise done. It would have been better if the hotel had it's own restaurant, as we were not able to find anything within walking distance that appealed to us very much. Otherwise, the buffet style breakfast, included in the cost of the room was very well done, and capped off a very nice stay. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers, we felt that overall, it was very good value for the money. The hotel was in very good condition, and was very clean and as quiet as any hotel can be, which was very nice!

The location was very convenient for a visit to UNH. Most importantly, to me, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Crisp white sheets and no bedspread make for a restful night's sleep. Four comfortable pillows for each double bed. (I never feel at ease when there is a grungy bedspread -- it's outdated and unsanitary). Overall, the hotel had a nice smell, maybe they pump it in, but it makes a difference in how you feel when you arrive. The free breakfast was good and the eating area was pleasant. I would recommend it without hesitation and if I were skiing in the area this would be the place to stay.
