Candlewood Suites Winchester - ווינצ'סטר

Have stayed there before and will again. If they would have a good continental breakfast they would get all five stars. No continental breakfast at all. Just overpriced items in a vending machine or refrigerator.

Very noisy. Surroundings not pleasant, and very noisy.

Friends of ours usually do a weekend getaway once a month to "get away" well this weekend we decided to join them at the last moment and we booked a room 45 mins prior to arrival. I can honestly say i was floored with the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel. Previously in the area I've stayed at several other hotel's and this one by far out classes, out shines and just plain puts the rest of the hotel's in a lower class. i will only book with this hotel from now on when we decide to travel and im looking forward to another weekend getaway so i can enjoy the luxuries of home without being there.

The room was clean and the bed was soft. Easy off and on I-81.Staff were friendly. Will stay again in the future.

We stay here regularly en route from home to Va Beach. Lots of nearby restaurants. Located just off I-81 and US 50. Comfortable beds, and we enjoy the added amenities of the efficiency kitchen.

Second time we have stayed at this location, and will continue to do so everytime we come through town. Great value for what you get.. Friendly personell and I never hear other dogs barking, etc - very pet friendly hotel! The room was spacious and clean. The "honor system" vending area had some reasonably priced food/snacks.

Room was wery spacious, clean looking, good ammenties, however the room we got had a odor, of what seem to be sour milk, the hotel staff came in and sprayed air freshner which seem to mask the smell . Every thing else was fine.

We had a one room suite with a fully equipped kitchen. It was very roomy and comfortable. It was conveniently on/off the highway with eateries and gas stations close by.

We came with friends to Winchester for the Apple Harvest Festival. The Candlewood Hotel was a close drive to the downtown pedestrian shops and galleries, the park and lake walking trails and to the Festival site. Both rooms and amenities were clean and included comfortable beds and pillows, full refrigerators, elecctric stovetops and plenty of desk space. Our friends had their own room but we found we had ample space and furniture for drinks and conversation together before heading to our various destinations. If the big comfortable chair had swiveled it would have been even more perfect!

My stay was fine. I chose this hotel b/c of previous experience when stayed w/ a friend. Although I was too busy to pay attention to the details of the hotel, I was confident in knowing that all was well with the hotel. The location is great and the noise level is very low. In fact, I only saw most of the guest and the pets. As it was last time. I really like that. The one thing that I did not like was the room service. There wasn't any for me. I was told by the attendent that room service was available after the seventh night. How convenient for them. Room service should be offered every three days and not every seven days. For a busy person, trying to fulfil the purpose of the trip and maintain living space can be quite challenging. In addition, frequent thorough cleanings help maintain the quality and appearence of the rooms and facilities.

the room was clean and the service was very friendly. the hotel amenities were first class as well as the location of the hotel.

I guess the thinking behind this chain is that you can cook and clean for yourself while on vacation or traveling, and I can see the appeal of that in some cases. I chose this hotel because we were traveling with a pet, which was an additional nightly fee. I never stayed at a Candlewood before but think it was kind of cheesy that nothing but coffee was included in the room rate, no continental breakfast. Good supply of food is available for a price. Room is supplied with dishes and cookware as well as the usual fridge, microwave and also had a dishwasher and cooktop. Maid service is once a week which is fine with me. Room was clean and spacious but not very well soundproofed. It did have mold growing in the tub caulking and a toilet that took forever to fill after flushing. Bedskirts were of 'pleather' and dirty where they met the floor. Room was not properly stocked with soap, t.p., etc. Staff was curteous but scarce as front desk was usually vacant.

Needs a good continental breakfast for the price of the room. There isn't any.

Hotel was great. I didn't realize that it's a weekly kind of place, do they only make up/ clean the room, make the bed , change the towels once a week. Not a problem, but would have been nice to know when making my decision

Was good place to stay, convenient to everything and highway. Will book there again.

We were very pleased with our room. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We go through Winchester quite often as a halfway stop. We will definately stay here again.

This is undoubtedly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed. I told my husband I wish we were staying there for a week not just one night.

This hotel is very clean, the suites are really nice and comfortable, they also have a excerise room and laundry room which is very,very clean. It is in a good location, to restuarants, shopping, and to private clubs, such as Elks, Moose, etc. just off the interstate. Everytime that I travel back to Va. I will be sure to there.

First of all, I LOVED and have no complaints about the full kitchen. It was brilliantly laid out and had EVERYTHING we needed for serving and cooking (toaster oven is available at the desk free-of-charge). The apartment-sized fridge was a bonus compared to other suites we have stayed in that have only a small dorm-like refrigerator. HOWEVER, that being said, I do have a few complaints: 1. We were told there was a separate seating area with a pull-out couch. This is not the case -- only a recliner placed near the TV in front of the beds (compared to other suite-type hotels where there is indeed a separation between the beds and sitting area). 2. Immediately upon entering the building, there was a STRONG odor of cigarette smoke. There are smoking suites within the hotel, but it was inordinately strong in the lobby, the elevators and the hallways. Luckily, it was summer and the windows in the room were able to be opened. We turned on the bathroom fan and ran it throughout our stay to pull in the fresh air from outside to make it bearable. 3. Although there was a fitness center, neither of our keys were able to open the doors even though we had access everywhere else. 4. The DVD player and free movies from the front desk were a nice touch especially since there was no channel guide provided and the free HBO channels were not able to be accessed. 5. The beds were small (doubles instead of queens) and uncomfortable. My husband and I both had sore backs in the morning -- a problem neither of us usually have. The kids were fine. Overall, we might stay there again for the convenience and economy the kitchen provided, but we would have to think about whether or not that outweighed the strong odor of smoke and the lack of a pull-out couch.

Great place to stay room was very comfortable and I would stay again.

The hallway smelled like smoke and there was no free breakfast - that's the bad news. The good news is that the rooms were beautiful, clean and updated, with kitchens! Very pleased.

We were surprised at the cleanliness of the room and how quiet it is. The hotel is close to everything, but out of the way making it easy to get in and out of the parking lot. This was our second stay at Candlewood Suites in Winchester and I don't think it will be our last.

My wife and I thought this place was the best. We loved the fact that or room had a microwave and a full size fridge with an ice maker as well as free movies at the front desk and acess to a computer in the lobby. We would look forward to staying here again.

This is a nice hotel! The room had a small kitchen and is very clean. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but overall is a great price for an overnight stay.

I've staying in Winchester before for business but hadn't yet tried out the Candlewood hotel. I must say that after this visit to Candlewood I will be recommending this hotel to anyone for any occasion. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very friendly. It is quiet and the in room kitchenette is very convenient. It's location makes it easy to access. I would recommend to anyone traveling with children (again the kitchenette is a great thing to have in your room) or anyone traveling and looking for a nice quiet and comfortable place to stay. VERY SATISFIED!

This hotel was great and we were very satisfied with our stay. We were traveling with a 5 month old so the kitchenette and large size of the room were wonderful. When I arrived to check in at the hotel no one was at the front desk and I had to wait a few minutes before I got someone's attention, but they let me check-in early. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was confortable and there were no maintenance issues wth the room. We did smell cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom vent on our last night, but we just closed the bathroom and it wasn't a huge issue.

The hotel and rooms were comfortable and clean. The pictures and descriptions were accurate. It is convenient to Summit Point Motorsports Park and just a couple blocks from I-81. The staff was prompt and courtious. We got in late and left promtly in the morning; so we did not use the fitness center, but it looked nice. A cut above most 2 star hotels. I will stay there when we come back later in the race season.

Everything was a smooth process. The hotel was clean, staff friendly, and the room we had was very "home like" something that made us feel comfortable. There were several restaurants only a stoplight away. Convenient location. Great experience!
