I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Dana - it was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and it was very conveniently situated. I arrived before 10am and there were no rooms available at that time, but the front desk offered me the use of the Spa so that I could freshen up and they stored my bags while I went out to explore the city. I was very impressed.

my FAVORITE Chicago hotel so far! And I've stayed at A LOT!

The staff is very nice and helpful.

Had a great visit at the Dana Hotel. All the staff there is extremely friendly, always saying hello every time I passed. The bed was really comfortable. The only downsides were that it seems like there aren't enough elevators for this hotel. I always had to wait for one. When trying to go out at night I waited 10 minutes for an elevator.

I really enjoyed the Dana. One of the better and cooler hotels I've stayed in. Loved the distressed cement ceilings, the hardwood floors and general layout of the rooms. The doorman, TJ worked his butt off as did the door staff in general. But I will say that's were the service ended. The check-in staff were not friendly or helpful. I don't generally care, but it was very noticeable to me However, that alone won't stop me from booking there in the future. It would just be nice if that part would improve.

The Dana is a great place that I stay at a few times a year, but they are starting to slip on the details. Bathroom door is a rolling door...our door wouldn't stay shut. Nothing like going to the bathroom and having the door roll open. The lamp in our bedroom looked like it had been used in a fight and was broken at the base and because of that was not straight. The hotel is a great hotel, but they need to start paying attention to some of the finer details. The location is great, price is good, hotel design is very cool, staff is very helpful everytime I have stayed.

This was the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The decor was beautiful and the staff were amazing. We can't wait to go back!

The hotel itself reminds me of really nice 5 star hotels in Europe's finest cities. Great beds, linens, and showers. Very friendly staff and the fastest room service I've ever ordered. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is extremely loud and the walls, although cement, sound as if they are made of paper. Even though we stayed on the top (25th) floor, the street below was extremely loud. Honestly if this room were properly sound insulated allowing us to sleep in past 8am, this hotel would go from 2 to 5 stars in our book.

The Dana is conveniently located about 3 blocks from Michigan Avenue in the Magnificant Mile. Very nice European style hotel. Like the hardwood floors in the rooms. Clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at the Dana again.

Me and my boyfriend visited the hotel between April 3 to the 5th. We liked how close the hotel was to downtown, how friendly the staff was, and how clean the rooms were. The hotel staff was very helpful when having to take care of our luggage as well as answering any questions we may have had. It ended up that I forgot a couple items in my room and upon calling I was taken care of right away. The price of the hotel room wasn't too bad however the $44/day parking adds up. My advice is to look around for another garage with overnight rates between $25 and $30/day. The hotel has a great gym and lounge! The only reason my overall rating was a 4.5 is because I had a little bit of trouble coordinating with housekeeping in order to get the items I felt behind back.

Fantastic stay at the Dana. Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Room was a decent size, & very clean. Would highly recommend.

An amazing hotel with great beds, modern rooms with glass showers for that romantic touch. Perfect location close to all the hot clubs and restaurants. Will stay again and again.

We stayed at the Dana for 3 nights. The staff was excellent - especially the front desk, the doorman and the chef at the restaurant. The food was creative, delicious, and fresh. (In fact, The bouillabaisse was fantastic.) There is certainly some serious talent in the kitchen. The only caution is the rooms on floors 22-24 will have to deal with some noise from the club on top floor. We were on floor 23 and the staff moved us without delay, when we asked for a move. The spa was also enjoyable. Overall, it was a great stay, and we will return.

The hotel was a real surprise for me. Some of the reviews by other guests were as usual accurate. The rooms with the balconies are small but adequate for a single or couple. However, the balcony is a bonus. The downside to these rooms is the noise factor, especially in the early hours of the morning. But honestly, there are no hotels in the downtown area that can escape city noise: trains, fire trucks, ambulances, cars etc. It just goes with the territory. The hotel had a LOT of unique touches: free wireless (smart of them to do this when almost all hotels charge hefty fees), a cooler that you don't have to concern yourself with moving something and being charged for it. Some people might find the glass shower wall opening into the bed room to be "revealing", but like I said this room is small and suitable for a single guest. The biggest plus for me was the health club facilities - exceptionally nice for a hotel. Great equipment. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. There are several grocery stores within easy walking distance, a bank across the street, and so many restaurants to choose from. It is an easy walk north to Chicago avenue and over to Water Tower. I would also add that the staff and restaurant personnel are very attentive to your needs. Food at the hotel is actually priced reasonably for downtown Chicago. You can actually order room service from midnight to 6 am which is another really smart feature.

Amazing!

Tv reception was poor

I live just a block from the Dana, and when I have friends and relatives come to town, I always recommend the Dana, and it has always been a good experience. Everyone raves about how much fun they have at the rooftop bar, "Vertigo".

Great location and hotel. I have stayed here many times and have enjoyed the good customer service. The only complaint is the rooftop club- the music from the club can be heard from the elevator and no matter what floor you are on when the doors open the music fills the hallways. I wouldn't recommend a room across from the elevators for this reason.

Everyone was helpful. Made our stay feel like we at home. Staff was excellent. I would comeback to Dana hotel n spa again. SEE YA IN THE SUMMER. EH!

The Dana Hotel was the best choice we made the entire trip. The rooms were sheik and modern, very clean. The staff were lovely, friendly and incredibly accommodating. Every time I saw a house keeper, she greeted me and my partner with a warm smile and a "how are you?" The front desk staff made arrangements so we could have an early check in and late check out, due to our flight times. That helped a lot! Alex, the bartender was very informative and fun! If you end up staying here, (which you should) We recommend 25 degrees, a bar/restaurant down the street as well as the wine bar across the street (they are open and serve food until 4am!). We will definitely be back when we return to Chicago!

Room was extremely clean; staff was very informative & helpful; were put on the 23rd floor, 3 floors down from the roof top club and you could barely hear it; Wine bar stocked with 5 different wines-all very well priced for being in a hotel. Club was super fun for my bday and convenient to take the elevator back up afterwards. Very trendy place and I loved it. Room was a tad small, but was fine for just a couple. The balcony door wouldn't stayed closed, which I think I've read about before in a review. Being i nthe winter, we hardly noticed it because the room heated well. would def go back.

Great location. Enjoyed the hotel and was perfect location for visiting family, shopping and evening activities. Would definitely stay there again. One issue was that the door to the balcony would not lock and my sister's room the door opened several times during the night. Rather cold awakening for January. DId not open the second night when the wind was from a different direction.

Modern rooms with hardwood floors. Comfortable bed. Great water pressure. Helpful guest services and concierge. Bathroom is see thru from bed; glass doors separate bath from room with a curtain from the outside. Other people in your room could peek in the bath at anytime! :o lots of party people on our floor- extremely loud. Had to sleep with tv on. Not exactly for families and people who need quiet.

The elevator was constantly out of service which was an inconvenience. I was forced to either wait in excess of 10 min at times or walk up or down to my room

The staff at Dana are outstanding, the guest room is modern and comfortable, shower is great, free WIFI is very nice, and the location is convenient. Unfortunately, the noise from the street and from guest room doors closing is a problem.

Staff was great. Rooms spacious abs beautiful. Very clean. Restaurant nice and reasonable. Normal loud sirens and city noise at nite, but that's Chicago

Chicago...BEST. STAY. EVER. Stayed 4 days-Unbelievably outstanding at every level. However, what truly makes the Dana unique is the staff-just the best and make you feel right at home as if you are family; and we were treated so fantastically-words cannot describe. Just know if you stay here, you will understand. Been to Chicago umteen times, and the first at the Dana-will not be the last. Quality place, quality food, quality room, quality staff. WOW!

The hotel was modern and clean. The front desk was very helpful. They gave us an umbrella to borrow but we received a bill for it at the end eventhough we returned it. We called and they took it off our bill. Good overall experience. Great location. They have a rootop lounge in the summer which is nice. The rooms were spacious, well designed, and had floor to ceiling windows. They offered bathrobes, slippers, and nice oatmeal soap and a nice set of shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were of good quality.

Have stayed at both sides of the hotel, the rooms facing State Street have awesome floor to ceiling windows and no balcony. The rooms facing west do not have windows but have a nice sized balcony, and the rooms (unless a corner unit) are on the small size facing West. Well appointed amenities a new, sleek facility makes this hotel one of my favorites in the city. The neighborhood surround it is top notch.

We stay in Chicago ALOT. I can't believe we've never stayed here before and now that we've been we will definately be going back. Staff are all friendly ... all of them. Very chic room. Location perfect. Hotel has everything, club, restaurant, spa.
