Rodeway Inn And Suites - Rehoboth Beach

If you are staying on the lower level of this motel and there is someone above you.... beware! You can here people sneezing in the room above. The people above us decided to party until 1am and we have a small baby. Luckily she stayed asleep. I, unfortunately, couldn't. I called the desk about it and they promptly called the people upstairs- who promptly ignored our "quiet down" request, twice.

Excellent value. Can't beat the price. Almost did not stay there thinking it was too cheap. Go for it and save some money.

The hotel was nice good location and close to restarant and bars

Went for what was supposed to be a quick weekend trip but had to evacuate early due to Hurricane Sandy. First room we were given was awful! One of the worst motel rooms I've ever seen! The room was so tiny the two beds were placed foot-to-foot. There was a small sitting area in a side alcove next to the bathroom. They were good about giving us another room when requested. Room was fine but just average. Location was convenient. Housekeeping staff was very pleasant. Front desk staff was only minimally helpful and never even apologized when we had to check out early!

Breakfast is cheap cereals and bagels; nothingelse to choose. This can be improved. I couldn't wait to get out of the office because when I arrived late after 9pm, the smell of strong chemical was really bad.

My stay at your establishment was very good...not long enough, as it was my first visit to Rehoboth Beach area. The only drawback was the restaurant/bar next door. Because of the location of my room, I was bombarded in the wee hours by patrons of the bar who had gathered outside, making all kinds of racket. Then dump trucks or garbage trucks were emptying trash bins in early hours as well. Beyond that, the room was clean, very roomy, and met any expectation I had. I've worked in the hotel industry, so that factored in to my observations.

I had a good stay you should bring somethings to clean with, its like moving into your own apt

Large rooms. No frills, nothing fancy. Ideal for large families.

The stay was comfortable for the short stay; however, the carpet didn't have a fresh smell.

Rooms were very large for the price. Clean, Convenience. Has a restuarant next door. We would stay there again. Only small problem, room was in front of main drag. Traffic noise. If you are from NYC, you are use to it, country, it will be loud for you. Beds are very comfortable, will make up for noise. :-)

It was a fine motel to stay in for the price and close to the beach and near-by attractions! The address is wrong on here through so check before you go.

Our AC was not workng when we arrived but within 20 min they had he old one remved and replaced with a new working AC. Great service!!!!

The hotel is the perfect location. In the middle of the outlets and a few minutes from the beach and boardwalk. Great for the price!!!! Would definitely stay again!!! The only thing I found needing improvement was the TV. They are very old and hard to view if you want to from the bed.

room could have been cleaner. it wasn't terrible but when i was looking for an electric outlet i found a brush and debris behind the headboard.

The hotel is in a great location. That is the only positive for this dump. From the rusted faucets, to the unvacuumed room and the pull out sofa that had a mattress that an animal would not lay on. This place should never charge what they do. My family and I travel a lot and this is the worse place we have ever stayed. I cannot imagine that the owner of this hotel knows how much of a mess this place is. STAY AWAY FROM THE RODEWAY INN REHOBEOTH!

Although a little dated, the room was very clean, spacious, and had a nice separate kitchen and dining area. The room was pricey and the employees seemed bothered by any questions. I might have considered coming back here, but without wifi, there is no way. As others hae mentioned the wifi service doess not work reliably.

hotel was great, allowed us to reach all places of interest and relax

we had a 2 room suite that was bigger than any we had previously visited, but the housekeeping was terrible. we had to ask to get resupplied on clean towels and coffee packets. the room was not vacuumed and the beds were not changed or even made very well. the breakfast choices were not very healthy, not very fresh, and not very tasty.

The hotel room was much more than I needed. I didn't want a suite. I'm sure I asked for 1 adult & 0 child on Hotels.com. I was not placed correctly.

Our stay was good. Had some problems with the door being broken, and the bath tub drain wouldn't drain. After reporting this to the office the problem to both were taken care of right away. Thank You.

It was a good hotel pick for a family stay. The staff was friendly, the room was big enough for everyone, but I was changed more then the price I booked online!!!

first room wasnt clean and there was mold on ceiling....was accomodated by putting up in suite only to come to room after beach and door was kicked in

We found our room very outdated and of questionable cleanliness. We actually slept on top of the bed cover and used our own pillows because we did not trust the ones supplied by the hotel. Next time we will spend the additional $10-$20 for a better-maintained hotel. Not worth the low price tag.

I liked the outdoor terrace. The breakfast was very bad. No choice at all. No more milk at nine o'clock. Bring your own stuff if you want a complete breakfast.

I think the front desk personnel could of been friendlier. Also had to go and get 2 lightbulbs because only 1 bulb was working

Stayed at this hotel for the Bike Weekend. Hotel was nice but it was a little to far from Ocean City. Stayed here to try to save money but ended up spending more in gas to drive back and forth from Ocean City. Nice and close to Cracker Barrel and Ihop for dining out!

Overpriced, the evening customer service was pleasant, the morning customer service was not so pleasant, the shower temperature had to be constantly adjusted and the door chain lock was busted off the door. I don't think I'll stay there again.

I won't stay here again! The room smelled like vomit and there were flies all over the room. The bed was as hard as a rock! Carpet was really dirty!

Very nice hotel and close to all the outlets

I took a chance and booked this hotel for myself and four friends despite reading some of the negative reviews. I knew prior to booking that this hotel would not be anywhere near as nice as the Hampton Inn or the Holiday Inn Express, which are also located on Route 1 in Rehoboth. So, I certainly didn't expect tastefully decorated rooms equipped with modern conveniences, however it is entirely reasonable to expect a clean, tidy room. This was most certainly not the case. There was rotten, moldy fruit left on the kitchen counter as well as food leftover from the previous guests. The carpets hadn't been vacuumed as evidenced by strands of hair, pieces of lint, and traces of sand. The bathroom tub looked as if it hadn't been thoroughly scrubbed. The next day only three of four beds were made, and again the carpets weren't vacuumed, nor was the room dusted, or the bathroom cleaned. The subflooring in the bathtub also sounded as if it were ready to cave in. We considered requesting a room change, but everyone was tired after working and traveling all day. I made two complains to staff, and each time I was directed to speak with the manager, who did not happen to be around at the times of complaint. I also left a message with a request for return call the following day, and I have yet to hear back from anyone. Despite my complaints, the room is large and can house up to 8 guests, albeit cramped due to there being only one bathroom. Also, the price is extremely reasonable not only for the area, but also for the timing over Labor Day weekend. Overall, I would certainly avoid this place!

Great location! Convenient to beaches, shopping, etc. Would recommend stay if only option available at last minute and/or you're budget conscious. In great need of updates, renovations, and the staff could really use some re-training in customer service/customer care!

we were pleasantly surprised. clean room. comfortable beds. convenient to shopping and beach. i recommend taking the park and ride to the beach since traffic and especially parking at the beach can be a pain. i'd give it another try. make sure you have something from hotels.com verifying your rate. the front desk quoted us something different and i had to show them some type of proof.

The rooms were big and spacious, located across the street from one of the outlet malls, a short drive to the beach 5 min. The only problem we had was that the shower went hot and cold. a nice place.

Great price! Hotel room was very clean & comfortable. Will stay there again!

everyone know the hotels around Dewery and Rehoboth are old, but this one despite its outward dated appearance was neat and clean in our room. Staff was friendly and breakfast in the morning was great. 5 mins from beachside parking in rehoboth. 10 mins from Dewey Beach nightlife.

After a long, hot day at the beach, I checked into the hotel around 11pm, hoping to go to bed. However, since the A/C wasn't turned on when I entered my hot, stuffy room, I wasn't able to get to sleep until after 4am because the A/C didn't cool down the room to the point that I could sleep until that time. The A/C ran non-stop from 11pm until after 4am. Not only was the hot, sleepless night very uncomfortable, but it also caused us to be too sleepy the next day to fully enjoy our trip. Shirley at the front desk told me the hotel staff doesn't turn the A/C units on in the rooms because they'd blow the hotel's circuits...i.e, the hotel needs to upgrade its electrical system, but hasn't due to the cost of doing so. She told me the hotel's circuits blew the prior week and all the rooms' A/C units and every other electrical thing in all the rooms shut off....as a result, she said the hotel staff doesn't turn the A/C units on anymore. I sent a note to the GM letting him know about my experience. The response of the GM, Terry, was a letter with 3 pages of weather data for the time I spent at his hotel. His basic contention is that there's no way I could've been hot in my room since it was a relatively mild summer night (outside my room). Although the room was clean, it may not be the place for you if you like A/C in your hotel room after a hot day at the beach.

I can't believe a lot of people gave this hotel a bad review. I mean sure, it's the Hilton, but for a budget hotel I thought this place was great. It was the cheapest hotel I found in the area, and the room was huge! I also thought it was pretty clean. Like I said, it was a budget hotel so it was what I expected. The continental breakfast was good. What you'd expect. Muffins, bagels, juice, etc. Enough to get you going until lunchtime. I loved the location. There are lots of stores and restaurants. Lots of things within walking distance. Dewey beach and Rehoboth beach are both just about 2 miles down the road. 10 miles later there is Bethany Beach. So you have the opportunity to hit all 3 beaches. The only negative things I can say is 1. The room had a weird smell. And 2. The beds are pretty hard. But those are just minor things. Other than that I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

When I first checked in they tried to charge me for 2 extra adults in the room, when there was just me and my husband. I thought I had that taken care of till I received my credit card statement and they had indeed charged me the extra. I had to call and have the charge removed after the fact. The room itself was a bit outdated, but seemed ok when we first arrived. After a few hours in the room I kept smelling vomit around one of the chairs. I didn't sleep well that night because of a strong odor of urine that seemed to get progressively worse as the night went on. I wasn't sure if it was actually in the room or if someone had urinated on our AC unit. If I didn't have my two children with me I would of demanded a new room, but did not want to have to wake them and move.

My family and I stayed in a 2 room suite for one night. The decor of the room left a lot to be desired, but I knew we weren't staying at a 5 star hotel. The thing that really grossed me out was when my 1 year old was crawling around on the floor as we unpack and unloaded and 5 minutes later I noticed her legs were black. Not sure when they last cleaned the carpets, but that is unacceptable. Secondly, as we were getting the kids to bed, we noted that one of the beds had no sheets. Upon calling the front desk, the maintenance person could not be located and so we had to borrow sheets from a room next door. Kinda tacky.

I ended up staying at the rodeway Inn because there where no more hotels available in OC. Its not at all far, we have decided to stay at the rodeway Inn everytime we come. Its a couple miles from Rehoboth beach and they have plenty of stores and food near the hotel was clean and the staff was nice.

The room was not what we booked, the other tenants were noisy, the office over charged us after we booked it through hotel .com. the towel holder was falling off, the wall paper was ripping off, no bowels etc for the microwave like it said ,had to do uturns to get to hotel and that it was next to a bar not family friendly . the breakfast choice (even though free) it sucked.

The hotel is a one star. You get what you pay for, with some amenities thrown in so you won't notice. Ironing board and iron, coffee maker, fridge and micro, all in a rather old room, I would just call "okay." If I hadn't found a c_____ hanging from the light fixture, I would have been "okay" with the whole experience. But now I'm just grossed out-and maybe with all hotels. I did have the room recleaned and sheets changed. That was done promptly and with a sweet note from the cleaning girl. But. . . Anyway, it is close to everything, right on Rt. 1 across from the outlets, a mile from the ocean. Good luck finding parking at the beach. Ask about a bus service. Pool was nice.

They need to update the rooms.
