ALOUETTE AND BEACHWALK - אולד אורצ'ארד ביץ'‏

I will return to the Alouette in a heart bit. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. Its right on the beach and a walking distance to shopping. Please do yoursefl a favor, The Alouette is a must stay and i promise you will not regret it. Batch from Atlanta.

This place was very cute, and a quaint little location. I knew that going into it it was not going to be "lavish" but our little condo/apartment served its purpose. However - I reserved an apartment with 1 queen and 1 double and had 2 doubles that were as hard as rocks (which I was prepared for from someone elses review, so I brought 5 extra blankets and my own pillows). We were very close to the beach which was great for my grandmother who is 83, she could walk a 100 ft and was on the sand! When we checked in, the woman at the desk looked at me like I had 5 heads and was very rude as if I were doing her a favor by staying there. Luckily, Fred (I believe) the night staff - made up for her rudeness when offering me a plunger for their out of date plumbing to work! Our garbage was never taken out of the main trash out front, and the housekeeping left our bath towels on our front steps over night which was a little alarming - but overall - it was decent. Next time I know that this time of year is not as popular, I will go down and wing it and pick up something on the fly. Again, it served its purpose - I got what I paid for.

We love that there are plenty of beds for everyone and that it's so close to the beach.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location was perfect for us. Far enough away from the pier to be quiet, but a short walk to all the attractions and it is right on the beach. The decor was outdated and it was not much to look at, but it was what we needed. We did not use the pool or eat at the restaurant, but they looked okay.

The reservation was made for people without a dog consequently the room was not what we had expected.there was not even a sofa or a chair to watch television but only 3 chairs made in wood not very comfortable

it was very nice so we booked for the week end of may 4-6th

My daughters and I had a family Baby Shower in Oc ean Park (Yellowfin's Restaurant) on a Saturday morning at 11. We decided to book a hotel for Friday night(we are from Mass)..go to the baby shower...and then hit the Outlets for shopping and then dinner before we headed home. The Alloette Beachwalk Hotel was a really, really nice hotel to stay at...the view was amazing...the rooms were very clean and the balcony was perfect for pictures of the ocean....:)!! We had the time of our lives....we are soo glad we did this...We will be back for sure and will bring friends...!!! Book this hotel..you will not be sorry.... J, Land L from Massachusetts....

the beds are so firm you should buy some boogie boards. the front desk staff are rude, and they speak poor english, even though their as white as the state. its very convenient to the beach, the housekeeping service got to see my husbands full 10 inches in me as they came into the room w/o knocking. A little professionalism and new matresses could get this hotel on kathy g's A list!!!!

dirty towel left in shower when we arrived - could not adjust water temp in shower (either too cold or scolding hot) - open shampoo bottle left on bathroom sink. Refrig could have been cleaner. Spent the first 2 periods of the Bruins game watching the maintenance tech try to fix the TV. He eventually disconnected the cable box and ran the cable feed direct to the TV which was a standard 19" with a tube ready to go on it. You can just imagine the quality of the picture. The motel and area was way too honky-tonk for us - should have stayed at Kennebunk or Ogunquit.

We were very excited to find that the Allouette was directly on Old Orchard Beach. And the location from the center of town is perfect. The room was clean and the beds clean and comfortable. The pool itself was clean also. My only recommendation would be that the unit as well as the pool area could use a simple paint touch-up and the place would be an excellent "Gem on the Beach".

We arrived late in the evening. Front desk was very, very nice. We got one of the larger rooms on the 2nd floor. Nice view of the beach from our room. It was late September, and nice enough weather to leave the sliding door open on the balcony to hear the ocean waves all night long. Complimentary breakfast was great. The hotel said we could hang around, even after checkout - so we pulled up some chairs and sat on the beach for a while before we left. The small town had very nice restaurants (also very friendly). I would definitely stay here again, but would make sure that I booked one of the larger rooms.

I chose the Aloette because it was a low cost alternative to an intercity inn while I was attending business in Portland. When I arrived, I wished I had brought my family. My room was compact but well laid out with a nice sized table, workable kitchen, and a little balcony. It was right on a lovely beach. Several of my neighbors had their dogs with them, and they were made to feel at home too.

We stayed at Wind Song, one of the buildings available. The room was very clean, but small. There were no windows, but a slider to exit the room. If you left the curtain open to enjoy the sun and fresh air, everyone that walked by your room (and they must to exit) would see everything and everyone in the room, so privacy is not so great. The house was right on the beachfront and the view was amazing. I really loved this. Rooms 3 and 4 on the first floor faced the ocean and you could head right out to the beach from these rooms. I would book these rooms next time. I enjoyed my stay and feel the accomodations were as expected for a beachfront, economical hotel.

This little apartment was peaceful and close to the beach. Our family with 3 young children had SO much fun there. The beds were not very comfie but the location and cleanliness were spot on!

While the reservation was with Alouette they have 3 complexes and we were put in the Beachfront-Windsong complex. That wasn't a problem, just a little misleading. Room was clean but small. Bathroom was really small. Bed was not real comfortable. Staff was very nice and being that close to the ocean was great. Overall we got what we payed for.

rooms were a little small but as my sister put it "just steps from the beach". hotel was clean and had fridge, hot plate and toaster which was great. Location to shops and pier and amusment park was perfect. Also great view of fireworks that go off every Thursday night from pier. Can get a bigger, newer room other places but this was great for the price.

The room was near ocean view, with easy walking to the beach. Lots of chairs to sit outside. The hotel staff is friendly, helpful, and always ready with suggestions and directions. The bathroom was very small, the room was small, but had a kitchenette. The refrigerator and microwave are handy, an hot plate, no range. The entire place is older but well kept and clean. The housekeeper comes in each day fresh towels, makes beds etc. The beach is clean and absolutely beautiful! We were there for 4 nights, we will be back for a week next time.

You really can't beat this hotel. Great price, friendly and efficient service, clean, and just steps away from the beach! It was raining and miserable when we arrived, but we can't wait to go back. We will be staying at this hotel every time we are in Maine.

If you want to be close to the sea, is the place. But the bed was too flabby... not to much space in the room and the bath room is very , very small. They try to keep the place clean , I liked that....

vi bokade alouette and beachwalk på Old orchard Beach för några nätter när vi besökte vår dotters graduation i sanford. Vi fick rum i wind Song motel. Ett typiskt motel med perfekt läge precis vid beachen. Lövtunna ytterdörrar och ganska små rum. Fläkten på toan lät som ett reaplan. Mycket charmigt. Upplevde att rummet var kallt när det blev regnstorm. Mycket charmigt samhälle. Ca 30 mins från flygplatsen i portland. Väldigt trevlig personal! Ägarparet var supersnälla och väldigt hjälpsamma. Vi kan absolut tänka oss att återvända under varm sommar!

Das Hotel ist eigentlich ein Motel bei dem man in einer Art Kiosk eincheckt. Die Zimmer sind absolut verlebt und windschief (das heißt die Zimmer sind teilweise tatsächlich so schief, dass man keine Flaschen auf den Boden legen darf!). Teilweise fallen die Tapeten ab, oder sind gar nicht mehr vorhanden. Der versprochene WLAN Zugang hat nicht funktioniert (dafür der vom Nachbarhotel...). Worauf man achten sollte, ist dass man ein Zimmer mit Meerblick bucht (dann hat man einen Balkon der schräg zum Meer ausgerichtet ist. Die alternative wäre der Parkplatz...). Das Hotel liegt direkt am Sandstrand! Die Umgebung entspricht dem Hotel und wir waren froh nicht länger vor Ort verbringen zu müssen als notwendig!
