Hotel Condal - ברצלונה

The hotel was very good, excellent location just off Rambla, Rooms were old but well maintained and very clean. Reception was good and for what it was, i would recommend it. Only downside is the noise from the street, which was loud. As people walk past the noise echos and it sounds like people are shouting. This carries on well into the early morning. But if like us you want a good, clean room in central Barcelona its very good :-)

Pros...clean, inexpensive, great locale close to metra, and Boqueria Market. Pleasant, attentive staff. "Cons"...we had a side room, not on main street, so nights were quiet enough; early morning street worker noise, but no big deal unless you're a late sleeper. Tub was higher than usual, may be difficult for elderly to manuever. ( fyi, waxy, no-lather soap, no wash cloths or hair dryer ) As you can see, cons were minor compared to price, cleanliness and location. We would return!

Great location just off the Rambla, room was very clean, staff friendly and helpful, basic hotel though would stay there again, good base.

Aweful. There was no hot water. The front desk kept saying they will fix it but they didn't. They would not inform other new comers that there is no hot water. Borderline deceiving. Then the toilet broke. The noise from the streets outside kept me up all night. Impossible to sleep. Awful experience.

Great location, close to Ramblas and Metro. Clean, comfortable room. All help in front desk very, very helpful!

The hotel was in a great location in Las Ramblas and close to the Port of Bacelona and a few minutes from Plaza Catalunya where the Aerosbus arrives and departs to the airport. Accomodations in the rooms are basic and there was a sewage smell emitted from the shower which might indicate faulty plumbing. Staff at the front desk were not pleasant nor accomodating. Essentially a great place if you're looking for an inexpensive, basic accomodations, and a place central to all sites in Barcelona. Another thing do not choose this place if you want to relax since there are bars below the hotel and the noise from peolpe lasts until 4 or 4 in the mornig.

Hotel Condal was a very nice European-style hotel. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The area around the hotel was very noisy, with tons of people milling about day and night. This was as we expected, so it was no surprise. It was comparatively easy to get to the hotel using public transportation from the airport; and exiting to use local trains and subway's in another country. (FYI, our return trip using the bus from Plaza Catalunya was much easier and quicker). I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be steps away from Las Ramblas.

the hotel is centrally located steps from las Ramblas. rooms are really clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.. I was at a pricier hotel before coming here and I had spent too much money on the other hotel. and the location was across the street.

Very good location. 2 minutes from metro. Near a few scenic spots. Clean room and clean bed sheets. No water kettle. Night shift staff on 5th and 7th January is nice and helpful.

Everything about this hotel was perfect except occasional noices heard from outside the hotel since our room was near to the pedestrian street. Also the room could have been better if it were little big. But looking at the price and location, comfort etc I would definitely suggest others to go for this hotel with a remark to choose an inner room rather than close to pedestrian street.

perfect for las ramblas but the beds are very hard and the noise from the street through very poor windows made sleep impossible

The location is really good. "Liceu" station which is located in the main street, is only 1 min walk, right after you go out the street in front if hotel. Very close to cathedral, market, station, stores etc. Hotel room and bed is clean. Wish heater works a bit more. We went in the beginning of December. It was very cold whether. There is elevator from lobby. Hot shower works good.

I read the reviews and was aware that we were staying in a 2 star hotel. The hotel was really good. Elevator, very clean, safe in the room, extremely fast Wifi, strong air con and shower and location, location, location. Right in the heart of La Rambla. It was also one one the cheapest I had seen. You take the train from the airport to Barcelona Sants and swap to line 3 on the Metro. Get off at Liceu station (it has an elevator if you have luggage) and it's 50m from there. Fantastic. We walked to the marina, beach and all the sights, catching the Metro back. Loved it! As we are non smokers I was worried when I saw an ashtray in the room but there wasn't even a hint of odor. Great place!

Great value for location. My "single" room was teeny, tiny, but price was amazing. The front desk and housekeeping were very friendly. Neighborhood seems to have issues with power...wifi went out all the time and so did the power...woke up one morning (room had no windows) to complete blackness. It's all part of the traveling adventure. I would recommend this hotel anytime.

Overall very nice staff, rooms are clean and in walking distance to all major sights..recomended

Room had 3 single beds! Stay was pre-cruise so location was perfect. Hotel is on pedestrian sidewalk, so taxis cannot pull up outside the front door. You have to walk from Las Ramblas to hotel, but luckily it was close.

Very basic hotel but on a great location if you want to be close to the Ramblas. I think I could have found a better value in a hostel for the price I paid for the room. Outside of having your own washroom it wasn't that much different than a hostel. Although the AC was a nice amenity other than that it is as basic as you get. If you get a good rate on the room than it is worth it. For me as a solo traveler I found it pricey but appreciated the privacy.

It's a good hotel for a one night stay. I don't recommend for longer stays. They did not want to give us any more towels even though there was only one in the room and there were two of us. The street down below is noisy all night and there is no A/C so you have to keep the balcony door open. The location is great near the pier and many other activities. The room was small for American standards but had plenty of room for us and our luggage.

Fabulous location. Room sparsely decorated but clean. Day staff very friendly and helpful. But, so noisy. Had windows closed and shutters down but could hear noise all night.

3 nights at this place. Good location, lots of small/nice streets around and Ramblas, just a block away. Front desk addressed my issues right away (changed my room because of my wheelchair -more space needed-). WiFi signal is good in rooms and price/location combination makes Condal fair enough for a short visit. Only one complaint, Front Desk said they could call a taxi for me and my wife while checking out for not more than 30 Euros (to the Aiport). Driver wanted to charge me 49 Euros, instead. I paid 40, but I believe Hotel Condal should be more responsible for providing services or information like this one. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a short visit in Barcelona.

the internet didn't work and the cups in the bathroom room were plastic disposables and there were no face cloths or bath mat to step on. Noisy til at least mid night.

The location of the hotel was great, rooms were comfy, simple but very clean. I'd go there again, only minus was that there were no monibar in the room. =)

A basic hotel ideal for everything in Barcelona, 25 metres from Las Ramblas, 5 mins walk to Placa Catalunya. Great for a few nights, but not a week.

great location- right in the middle of the Ramblas. EXCELLENT place if you´re looking for a budget place to stay. You can walk to it right from the port or from the Catalunya(where the airport bus stops).

Very convenient location in the old part of Barcelona. Near to just about everything!

Being close to the Ramblas was a definite plus, however everything else was terrible. No cleaning of the rooms, toiletries were non existent.

our booking was supposed to be for 2 persons and the front desk told my husband its only for 1. my son was with my husband who was very scared.the front desk was cursing. also the room is worse ever tiny room. no shampoo, no soap nothing at all.bad service

I thought this hotel had it all when I booked: close proximity to major attractions and a nice walk to get to the beach. What I got was bites on portions of my body from bedbugs. In addition, the air system hasn't been cleaned in quite some time, so I had a severe reaction to the dust and/or mold in the air ducts. Sleeping with the window open was a necessity. Normally, this isn't a bad thing, but with the constant yelling from drunk pedestrians and the noise of trash collecting made sleeping virtually impossible. Also, the hotel says the wi-fi is free, but it is so intermittent. I finally gave up. (I guess not a bad thing because I should stay the heck off my computer during vacation!!). In short, if you don't mind a few bed bugs and can get a room on the other side of the hotel, then by all means book it. The price is right, but sometimes, we get what we pay for.

This very basic hotel offers nothing more than a bed and a bathroom. Clean and basic. It is noisy out on the street untill 5 o'clock in the morning. The windows don't keep out any sound! You can hear your neighbours through the walls (also their TV). On top of that we were almost pickpocketed in front of the hotel.

Great value for a hotel right in the heart of Barcelona. Staff helpful and friendly and rooms clean and comfortable. No particular frills, but everything you would want from a base to explore this wonderful city.

Bonne impression. Parfois bruyant cependant.

Vi hadde et fint opphold på et enkelt hotell. Rommene var ok og beliggenheten var topp. Eneste minus for oss var at det var mye støy om natten. En pub ligger like ved og her var det fest til 4-5 virket det som. Det var stille utenfor mellom 5 - 9. Det var også noe banking og annen støy. Tåler du støy er det et billig og bra alternativ!

Rigtig god beliggenhed med gå-afstand til Metro, Ramblaen, de historiske gader, katedralen, stranden og byens pulserende centrum. Døgnåben reception med venligt personale, som dog har begrænset engelsk sprogkundskab.

受付は英語が通じる。建物は少し古い印象だったがきちんと掃除されており快適だっった。
