Blue Spruce Motel & Townhouses - Plymouth

The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We did not know the area and he gave us excellent directions as we were leaving for our next destination. The breakfast was quite adequate. We would stay there again if ever in the area.

Hotel was adequate for our one night stay. Room was a little musty smelling but clean and comfortable. Price was readonable. Would stay again.

Nice, basic room; friendly owners; good continental breakfast including fresh cut fruit. The room was clean and in working order. The only rough edge was that the lamp near the bed had no on/off switch; it was necessary to plug/unplug it from the outlet in order to switch it on and off. (It had apparently been recycled from somewhere where the outlet had been controlled by a wall switch.)

Staff was very helpful and offered us suggestions for what we needed to find in the area. It was a clean, well maintained place to stay. The only down side is location near strip mall which takes away from its charm.

Tom and staff do an excellent job all around to keep your stay a pleasant one. rooms super clean, nice breakfast spread for you in the am, lots of choices to nibble on. I found that you don't need a big hotel chain to get great service, it's all at the Blue Spruce.

Tom was great. He was so friendly and gave us great information on what to do in the area. The hotel was the nicest we stayed at during our week long trip. Wonderful continental breakfast!

It was good for a one night stay. Continental Breakfast was included with room and was adequate. Pool was clean. The one soda machine at Blue Spruce did not work. It is a 10 minute easy drive to Plymouth,

Excellent breakfast with FRESH FRUIT. Wi-fi was variable but office allowed access to their business log in when. Client acces would'nt work. Bed comfortable, shower needed attention - sprayed over top of curtain!

Super accommodation, very helpful staff and very enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone.

The Blue Spruce was just fine, it is quite old but clean and comfortable. I guess it is family run as management / owners were very keen to please. The breakfast was probably the best we have experienced to date during 3 weeks of touring New England. The location is fine, close to Plymouth, an excellent restaurant next door. Overall I rate it highly for the price.

Not luxurious, but clean and comfortable, with very friendly service. A bit of a drive from downtown Plymouth, but worth it for the reasonable price (considering the place and season).

We had a good 2-night stay while visiting friends in the area and a family event. The owner runs it and is very friendly and accommodating. We would gladly stay there again!

It was so loud first thing in the morning!! So close to the road. There was heavy construction in the area and it started at about 6:30 am. Check with them first, because they wont tell you!

Our main complants are that the walls were thin and and the sheets small.

I totally enjoyed my visit to the Blue Spruce Motel (Blue Spruce being my favorite tree)! It is truly like a country inn and the Innkeepers are friendly, caring and very well informed. The location is great unless you are traveling all over New England..but I would stay there again! Thansk for your kindness and caring while I stayed with you. Barbara

Owner-operated motel near Plimoth Plantation. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Rooms are small but very clean.

This hotel is a treasure in the heart of Manomet. The staff was friendly,helpful and very easy to speak with. Tommy the owner is pleasant and a good person to ask directions or just to say hello. Highly recommend, I did ask if cigars could be smoked and I was more than willing to walk away not to bother other guests.

This is a basic well kept motel, with an excellent location for visiting Plymouth and Cape Cod. The staff were very helpful. There are several eateries and grocery shops etc within walking distance which also added to the convenience of staying there.

Pool not open until later; wifi did not work and staff unhelpful about it; road noisy; place not as well equipped as expected for the price; room smaller than expected from desciption. outdoor sitting area nice (but noisy!), breakfast good;

We were very happy with our stay at the Blue Spruce. It is a very attractive property, the grounds are immaculate, the rooms are small but pleasant and nice touches like a white fridge and microwave which makes a nice difference in the feel of the room. We enjoyed travelling to all the tourist areas from this central location and the local history of Plymouth. Tommy and his wife are very welcoming and do everything they can to make your stay a great experience with their knowledge and experience in the hospitality business. The staff are pleasant and friendly too. We were pleasantly surprised and cancelled our reservation at a pricier hotel in Somerville and remained in Plymouth because of the Blue Spruce.

This Motel is a clean Motel close of Cape Cod area. The manager, swimming pool and breakfast are nice. We would go again (call the Motel directly for good price)!

The Blue Spruce is a wonderful place to stay! Everyone was very accommodating, and our room and the area were very clean! We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch of our room and watching the world go by. If we were to have a complaint, it would be that the room was a bit on the small side.

Close to area beaches and central Plymouth, but off main Cape highway, this classic style motel is remodeled with a variety of accommodations on a large landscaped property. Outdoor pool, excellent breakfast with outdoor seating, helpful and friendly hosts. I am familiar with the roads in this area and knew this property would be convenient, but was pleased with what we found, Eeven though we only needed one night. We would return if back in the area.

At first glance, the rate wasn't TOO bad for something (technically) on the Cape in summer--only about three times as much as you'd expect to pay for a roadside motel anywhere else. And if you stay in a motel, you can't expect luxury. But then there's this. The room reeked of mold, which makes sense, because the whole building was damp, even with the air conditioner running full-blast. One day we got a "clean" towel with a nice big spot of blood on it. The WiFi doesn't reach most of the rooms. And so on and so forth--that's about half of it. What really got me was that there's no night staff. This isn't a B&B; it's got 50-something occupied rooms every night of the summer. Oh, there's a guy whose job it is to sleep over who gets VERY upset when you disturb his beauty rest at any point before 7:30. Seriously--it's half past seven before they'll trouble their beautiful minds with your problems, or check you out, or start to put out the breakfast, or what have you. You're not exactly taking your life into your hands here, but you'll feel like a chump. It's basically a flophouse, except for the price tag.

We stayed just one night, came quite late and had to leave early in the morning before breakfast. The staff was very kind, the room was clean and reasonably furnished. The place is rather isolated. We were satisfied and could recommend the motel to others.

We stayed 3 nights - unfortunately in a room closest to highway, just behind petrol station and above an underground garage with very noisy garage door; luckely, this was not actioned to early every morning! Pool is very small - to small to be able to swim, big enough to relax. Room (2 queen size beds) was great and clean, air conditioning good. I would return to this motel.

Excellent place to stay and it beat our expectations across the board. Room was very clean and comfortable. The biggest asset this property has going for it is Tommy, the owner. He was very hospitable and ensured all of our needs were taken care of. Nice continental breakfast, too!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Daily breakfest was quite good. However the shower in the room was just terrible: tiny and hardly controlable. Overall the stay was OK.

This is a mom and pop operation. They keep the place looking nice on the outside. They offer good service, but the room smelled like urine and the shower is like an upright coffin. There is no room in it to move around. Early check ins are not welcome. And Plymouth is a strange town. Some people are friendly and some are not. The motel staff was very freindly. Just be prepared for a bout of culture shock if you are from the South or West. You will have an accent they can recognize. Cape Cod is nice. Fishing around Plymouth is nice. Internet connection is hit and miss.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We arrived after check-in time, but a key to our room was left at the phone. the shower was very small, but it was OK. plenty of hot water. I would stay again when I'm in the area.

The economy room we stayed in was just like an old fashioned motel I remember as a girl. Except it had a newer mini fridge and microwave and flat screen with remote. They were very clean, as was the room and pool. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. It was quite close to Plimoth Plantation, so this means it was a few miles away from the quaint town where the rock is, but an easy ride. There are enough parking meters downtown at fifty cents an hour. There is a Stop and Shop, dollar tree, and CVS near the motel as well as many restaurants. I recommend this to traditional motel lovers.

Bed was very comfy!!!! Very clean... The only thing we had a problem with the size of the shower... My husband is 6'5 and had to stand sideways to take a shower... But other than that the place was great!!!!

The Blue Spuce is a modest clean motel. The owners were very nice and helpful. The breakfast fare was modest but plentyful. Not a 5 star hotel but a great place to use in exploring plymouth

We were greeted well and checked in quickly. The man was very accommodating to us. We missed having a coffee pot in the room. But, we enjoyed our stay very much.

The room was so clean and nicely furnished - the staff - went above and beyond - a large selection for teh breakfast - the stay was very relaxing and we will keep this on our active listing to return one day -

Highly recommend , warm, clean and comfortable and the home made goodies at breakfast are amazing. Good choice of resturants in surrounding area. Great base to explore Cape Cod and Plymouth. From six highly satisfied Britts.
