The only reason I'm giving a four on service it is because I didn't get more towels on my second day everything else was good.

We stayed at this hotel April 2013. On our last night of our trip. Location is by the freeway. There is a in N Out burger joint nearby, and 101 freeway is beside it. The hotel is fairly new about 5 years old I estimate. The room we got was nice and clean. The king size bed was comfy. But the sofa bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The hotel has a pool and jacuzzi. The pool temperature was nice. But the jacuzzi needs some better maintenance because the water looked stale. This hotel is good for overnight stay or if you're on business, but too far to use as a base for Monterey trip. The breakfast buffet was OK, with scrambled eggs, breads, juices, coffeee, yogurt, bacon, etc. This hotel is perfect location if you are in town for Laguna Seca races. I would give it a 5 star overall if they had better sofa beds and if the hot tub was better maintained.

Excellent room, very clean.

Possibly the best hotel in Salinas! Huge, clean, well decorated rooms.

We always stay at this hotel. Our favorite when we visit friends and family in Salinas

Dont miss breakfeast there is plenty to choose from. Only wish the TV was bigger. After reading other reviews before booking I decided to spend a little more money here to hopefully get away from whatever criminal element was going on at other hotels nearby. It worked! Its a newer hotel with modern ammenities. I would come back again if visiting Salinas in the future.

Good room. Very uncomfortable sofa bed. Surrounding neighborhood less than desirable. Free self-parking. Close to freeway. Okay breakfast buffet.

The hotel offered a convenient and inexpensive alternative to hotels in Carmel. This is a great stop over if you are touring Monterey and Carmel. There is not much to do in Salinas and the dining options are pretty run-of-the-mill, like the In-and -out Burger next door, so do your exploring and dining before you return to the hotel. Can't beat the price and location. The hotel was well maintained, and looked very new. I didn't get a chance to check out the indoor pool

The refrig didn't work well; food spoiled or was warm. The clearning lady opened our door twice before we could answer not to enter the room; checkout time was over an hour away Pool area was unkempt [food wrappers on floor] with no fresh towels; Otherwise it was nice.

The hotel condition was good, and very clean. The breakfast was decent, but many children running around (always at hotels with free breakfast). TV in room had many channels, but was a smaller 32 inch TV. Air conditioning did not work so we kept the window open all night. The hotel staff was not friendly at check-in or check-out. Not attentive to their counter and not what you would expect at this hotel brand.

We dropped our son off at college and stayed at this property. The managers of the property were professional and made our stay enjoyable. The pool and gym were modest in size but very functional. The breakfast was very well done. Tasty food and plenty of it. Not a honeymoon hotel due to the industrial neighborhood, but I would stay here again.

Big spacious room,comfortable beds,and very, very clean! Excellant breakfast buffet. Also the staff at the hotel were very helpful.

Hotels.com needs to do a better job - I was told I was getting 2 rooms with double beds in each, but I got 2 rooms with single beds. The hotel did the best they could to accommodate me but it shouldn't have been an issue.

we are very pleased with our stay. wonderful suite that fit 5 people and saved us money :-)

Great value, the pool and sauna were nice, the room was clean and well apportioned. The continental breakfast was very good. The location isn't ideal, but if value, cleanliness and amenities are important to you, you should check it out.

I have stayed here before and just love it. The mattresses are very comfortable, the hotel is extremely clean, the staff is very friendly and professional. The indoor pool was just great for the kids. I plan on staying here each time I make the trip to Salinas to see friends and family.

This hotel was very clean and in a great location. Next to Highway 101 but not noisy at all. Our neighbors were partying late at night and when I called the front desk they immediately sent someone up to tell them to quiet down.

The overall is good but the AC is malfunction that night. No matter what we do it blow HOT AIR. We found that out at 10pm and everyone was ready to sleep so we don't want to change the room. I ended up open the window at night. The breakfast is good with mini pancakes made on the spot (machine). We love the in door swimming pool with SPA.

Very friendly, helpful people working there. Very good breakfast, excellent coffee and comfortable beds and pillows! Staff very helpful.....we needed some plastic forks for our room and they offered paper plates, napkins, and forks and spoons!

Hubby and I stayed one night. Very relaxing and enjoyed the indoor spa!

Thin walls in the room (heard the neighbor snoring). Went to the front desk, but was not given another room. Breakfast was less than decent. Cold omelets with a strange filling.

It would have been nice to have a better selection of fruit, the only fruit I saw was bananas which I cannot eat. Some fesh oranges would have been nice. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and confortable.

We booked the room with two beds - when we got there they only had rooms with Kings. The staff was very unhelpful. The rooms were just ok - this has been one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.

We arrived at our hotel early to dress for a special occasion. The receptionist was friendly and helped us find a room so we didn't have to dress in the bathroom! The room was very nice. The continental breakfast had everything; even a pancake maker! The only negative would be the pull out sofa. That "springy" thing was no comfortable so bring something thick like a sleeping bag to lay over it.

Alarm kept going off in trailer park next to hotel.

Easy check in, thanks to Hotels.com. Comfy room. Quiet...good wi-fi. Great breakfast in the morning. Kids loved the indoor pool.

Room for our family of four was very comfortable, Breakfast although simple, had a good variety from warm eggs and meats, toast, pancakes, oatmeal to cold cereal and fruits was a great way to start our day, Atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant, Indoor swimming pool and hot tub was EXCELLENT Thank you for providing us a wonderful experience,

The property was very nice, new and clean. The brakfast was good and the service was great. The location is cnvenient near the 101 freeway but the surrounding neighborhood is not the best.

My husband and I wanted to go to Monterey for the weekend and stay in Monterey but it was way too expensive, so we decided to stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Salinas. It was a 30 minute drive to Monterey but it was worth it. I would consider myself a "hotel snob" and I was a little disappointed that we were going to stay at a Holiday Inn but once we got there to my surprise it was REALLY nice and clean and the price was great! I would definately stay here again!

We were happy with the convenience of the freeway but disappointed in the cleanliness of the room, the condition of the exercise room and with the breakfast. There were hairs in the bathtub and only one of the three machines worked properly in the gym. The breakfast was very minimal. When returning from dinner at night there was a drug deal taking place on a nearby sidewalk. Will choose differently next time when staying overnight.
